Ok well First off Let me say that this Place is Far from where I live. I Live in North Hollywood and This Amazing place is Near Downtown L.A, So you see my dilemma but Honestly its all worth it. Once we came back she greeted once again and told us to pick our color, I love love love their Selection of nail colors From Essie to OPI and She even recommended what colors were in season to wear. So Finally I picked like a Orange-red type color called "Ole" idk what was the brands name all i remember it was the Bottle with a Grey top. What I really loved is that for every customer they use a brand new packet of nail tools so you know there is absolutely no chance of you getting fungus which to me its important because I've heard so many horror stories of how women get infections because of the unsanitary conditions they had their tools in. I loved how Sherry Evened out all of my nails and made them look gorgeous!!! The Mani-Pedi's were amazing, really relaxing. Overall This place was Awesome! Sherry, The Owner, really makes you feel really welcome and I love how we have actual Girl talk! And the Prices are Great!! I am completely obsessed with TIP-Y-TOES! I went in around 6:40PM (closing in 20MIN!!!) and Sherry the owner still took us in. I got a regular polish change for $5!!! I couldn't believe it. She was amazing. So attentive, cheerful and charming. I've been living in downtown for a while now and I have yet to find a great nail shop but I think my search has come to an end. I met four young ladies who were working in the shop that day. Sherrie, Ana, Kim and Jessie. All of these ladies are wonderful. Kim did my pedicure and Jessie did my manicure. I wanted a design done for my pedi so Sherrie did the design for me. Super professional. Sherrie makes you feel like you are in the comfort of your home nail salon. Though this was only my first visit, it felt like my tenth. The ladies have a way to make you feel comfortable. I held a conversation with Sherrie as if we knew each other already. She's really sweet and professional. They all are. Very cordial and attentive. The atmosphere they have created is great. The shop is set up really cute. Best of all they don't overbook their appointments. Which are designed to be set up that way. They really take pride in giving you the best one on one experience. I have been to very few nail salons that does that in the Los Angeles. Even when you already have an appointment set. The prices are fair. Reasonably priced!The overall cleanliness of the salon is outstanding. I am very particular about the nail spots I frequent for hygienic purposes. The owner Sherry pays great attention to detail and will do anything she can to make sure you have a great experience. The shop is very clean and provides everyone with their own pumice and file. They also have a great selection of colors. So great that the other night I actually had a dream about what color I was going to get on my next visit. I had a gel mani/pedi and got my eyebrows waxed. I haven't been to too many places previously that also carried gel colors for toes as well. Sherry is so nice and so sweet!! I saw that everyone was recommending Sherry on Yelp so I had to book an appointment with her. Came here around 11 on a Saturday and there were already a couple customers. I got a gel mani with some gold strips over the tips and it came to $48. It is cheaper than my other manicure place (Sugar Nail) and the manicure was done pretty well! The only thing I'm sad about is that the gold strips are coming off on the sides :( Make sure that all of them are really stuck on before leaving! The place is super clean and very sanitary also the owner is very sweet cares about her customers. The only problem is that almost every time I have come throughout the week Ive been turned away because there is always just two people working. I can see why they are always busy (becuase they are awesome) but maybe they should let people know to make an appointment. There has also been times when Ive called and no one answers the phone. I wish that they can hire more employees that do a great job so that I can get my nails done at my favorite salon. That doesn't make up for the poor quality of the gel mani and pedi with callous removal and design. 1) The callous removal did nothing.... At all.. I've been to many a place that gave me princess feet, this place's product/work didn't come close. 2)They shared tools! The woman doing my hands had to wait for the woman doing my toes to finish with a cleaning tool to continue with my hands. How do you only have ONE tool?!? I asked how long they'd been in business, hey, maybe they're new. Five years she says. You should have more tools. 3) The gel mani chipped after three days. Yeah, I went in the pool! That's what you do in Vegas. But I've had MULTIPLE gel manis stay for at least a week when I've been in the pool. 4) My toes didn't feel clean :/ 5) The worst was the price of the design.. $8 for plastic tiny sequins that fell off THAT NIGHT! What a wonderful experience! I called to schedule a mani-pedi and they had me in in 30 min. Sherri is a fantastic owner. She makes you feel like you are getting your nails done with your girlfriends, regardless of who is in the shop. Granted the place is quite small, only serves 3 customers at a time, I still enjoyed it immensely - just be sure to call ahead to make sure you don't have to wait. They ended up doing my mani-pedi simultaneously, I guess to be more efficient. In any case, I did not feel rushed but was out in under 45 min. It's not the best pedicure I have every had, but the paint is perfect - and they will fix it as many times as you want if you're picky like I am - and it's just right for the price. $24 for a mani-pedi, $5 for callous treatment, plus tip is simply a deal. I will be a regular here from now on, I can't say enough about how pleasant Sheri and her staff are. They make it a habit of remembering your name and making you feel comfortable. I love love love this place. It's my new go-to. Sherry, the owner is AWESOME. So were my nails. I got gel nails with a pink polish and it is BEE-YOO-TEE-FUL. I loved it because it was quick and easy, unlike acrylic which takes forever and sometimes leaves those cuts on your fingers. Plus, it's healthier for you. All this about gel manicures I learned from Sherry who is amazing and will answer any question about anything you have. The shop itself is in downtown LA next to a school. I got a gel mani which was $25 - one of the cheapest prices in the neighborhood (I called around and places in the area range from $25 - $42). She's got a lot of good regular nail polish colors too (including OPI). I loved how friendly she was, we had a good chat and I felt at home right away. My manicure came out great (it's been a week and no chips!). I highly suggest making an appointment since the shop is so small & still growing. Here's my experience. 1. There was parking and the store front was cute. 2. The nail techs were friendly and cheerful. 3. The shop is clean and sanitary. 4. I had my acrylics filled in and UV gel put on top for $20. That's a great price. These ladies are nice and professional. As a cosmetologist, I know about nails. Very good experience. My technician was Helen and she was very accommodating to what I liked. I got a full set of acrylics, and she asked me multiple times if I liked it and if I needed anything changed. I like that because I always feel uncomfortable asking for something different! The owner was very nice as well, and talked to me even though I wasn't her client! My service only cost me $15! It is +$2 for long nails and +$3 for white tips. Amazing prices if you ask me! -1 star because my appointment was at 11 and my lady wasn't there until 11:15, but not too big of a deal.
