Depending on what you're looking for of course but they have a great selection of work clothing, gloves, tools, etc. Also, did you know that there is an animal adoption place in the same strip mall and they contribute to them? It's called A PATH 4 PAWS. CAL Ranch is a huge supporter. I like to support places in the community that help animals and this is one of those places. Tonight, a little after 8, I wanted to try on some pants. My girlfriend went up and asked someone to let us in the fitting room. We waited and waited... About 8:15 I walk up and ask for someone to let me in the fitting room and the girl says that the fitting rooms are closed for the night. I said we were told someone will be over and we've been waiting. "Yea, but I was told they are closed". No one came to tell us or whatever. And her attitude was like I was disturbing her as she was talking to the other person at the register. No "sorry" or anything. If we were told they were closed, fine. For farm animals and dog food , this is my spot! Staff is a little distracted sometimes but they try their best to help when needed. The pricing and variety of dog food is my favorite, and they have all kinds of things for horses, birds, and bunnies. Their toy selection is one to take a gander at. I put off my last experience review until reminded from their BF sale email I now unsubscribed from. For years, I've shopped here for the chicken feed and dog stuff. Last month they had a $2 off sale then the next week was buy 3 get 1 free. I originally got 3 when $2 off. When buying the second sale, I brought my receipt and only 2 bags from the store (mine at home). I explained to the cranky older lady cashier, I'll be doing a return and getting and paying for the 3+1 bags, albeit not physically to save both myself bringing them back from home store and them from restocking, and returning 2 bags. She was utterly confused and called for a manager. I repeated to him. He refused and by the book said I must bring my bags in order for the refund and if I wanted the buy 3 get 1 free I need to get the other 2 bags! She was also clueless of the 5 in 1 canine vaccination I asked for right by the registers, saying they don't have that. I did check and saw it was in stock before asking after deciding from the others. Idiots! I'm no longer going to this store- given that bad experience, the somewhat out of the way longer drive, Walmart now carries a better economical chicken feed for slightly more without the pressure of buying multiple for savings, and I found a pet clinic offering the 5 in 1 vaccine $10 more than sold DIY. read more

I purchased a Black Friday sale item online today. Online it says in stock let me purchase. I did this earlier today around 2pm. I get a call at 6:30pm telling me this item sold out yesterday and I will get a refund. I told Eddie this is a Christmas present and would like to be offered something comparable since I thought I had this item it never said out of stock when I went to purchase it. He said their online site isn't accurate so it is what it is I can go elsewhere with my money he's refunding. The customer service here is TERRIBLE! read more

My wife and I stopped by today with our family looking for a stock watering tank and we were pleasantly surprised by the exceptional level of customer service we received from Israel, the employee who helped us out here at the store and today's culture/society where it's difficult to get much customer service for assistance at all, this young man went out of his way to assist me with my request and made the experience very pleasant. It is about a 30 minute drive to get here but was well worth it for the service we will definitely come back again. read more

I love to shop here but today was a horrible experience. The cashier did not know what she was doing and when I asked her about the discount sticker that some clothes had on, all she told me was "I don't usually do this" and proceeded to ignore what I asked and put the items at different price inside my bag. I told her that I needed to understand how it works cause there is no point of buying clearance when the discount is not applied, then a young girl came to help her but she looked upset/angry, so I asked her if we were bothering cause if not we can just leave the stuff cause I don't like to bother, then she said "no, the system just has not updated this items" she tried to change her face expression to a more friendly but after that she went back to the upset/angry face. I really felt like I was bothering both ladies (this happened for every single piece of clothes I bought because the cashier did not know how the things works). -I really think you guys should do something about the sticker clearance prices, maybe update them first instead of putting the stickers before they are even updated on the system (this is what the young girl told me happened, so you guys should really fixed that cause we lost a lot of time trying to checkout). -The second thing is please have someone that understands how things work at the cashier because this lady was alone at the beginning and she did not have any idea of how the clearance items work and she did not even try to help us until I told her that I would love to have someone that understood how the clearance items worked. I don't think I will be going any time on the near future because I don't want to have this experience. -I do love the store and I think you guys have amazing things but will tried to avoid the extra work of shopping there. -Finally, I was smiling and trying to be nice the whole time there but it is not nice when some of the employees look angry or upset because you are asking questions related to clearance items, terrible customer service. When you walk in to CAL Ranch, it feels like you walked into a small town country store. The place every farmer, cowboy, and first responder would go. Boots, Hats, Horse Feed, Per Supplies, Guns, Ammo, Safes, country store candy and jerky, sunglasses, and more. I can spend hours in this place just looking (and wishing I had a horse farm). Like all retail places, Guns and Ammo prices are a bit high, but sometimes the convenience of getting what you need without the wait is worth it. My buddy and I showed up at 3am this morning to secure a place in line for their black Friday sale, We were #3 and 4 in line. Both of us set on the Rock Island Armory 1911 in 38 super for $400. The employees came outside at a quarter to six asking people in line what they were waiting for and handing out tickets to reserve the item. When asked we stated the pistols we wanted and they said they didn't have tickets for those. Six o'clock rolls along, the doors open, the mass of people flood towards the gun counter. There we were, first in line, staring at glass shelves with no 1911 pistols, what-so-ever, nill, Zero! "They must not have put them out yet, they just opened". That turned out to be much too generous of an assumption. I'm using the word generous because "considerate" or "understandable" do not belong in this review. The feller behind the counter asked what we were after, we responded, he says "yeah, we don't have any of those. We just have what you see in the case." To sum up this review; Cal-Ranch advertised guns in their black Friday email flyer that they did not have. It's not as though they ran out of stock or we were too late. They could have told us they didn't have any when they asked us what we wanted while standing outside. Make no mistake, this particular advertised pistol was not the only one they lacked. Aside from a couple Springfield hellcats there were only the cheaply made 22lr revolvers that always grace their shelves. Disgusting BAIT & SWITCH! Do not waste your time on this place. I know, I know, it was one of my favorite stores as well, but it has slid backwards from what it once was. Yes, I am aware of the current "covid" environment, but I do not believe it had anything to do with not having the advertised items in the first place. 11 DAYS!!!! It's been 11 days now and still waiting for my background check to come back! I was told 24 hours to 3 days on the 19th of November. Called 27th to check status and was told it would be the 29th. Unfortunately it's still pending today! Found out they only FAX the paperwork and have no way to call it in but instead of telling the customers the truth, they dance around and lie about wait times. This has been the single worst gun purchase experience I have ever had! This place has all the southern decorative touches you'll want to add to your home: rustic wax warmers, vintage wall signs, and roosters of every shape and color. Prices are a bit all over the place in this section, like $100 for a rooster statue or a bejeweled picture frame, and random clearance stickers marking down items to half price. Hunt for the good stuff! The front right-hand side has a cute little General Store area with snacks and gift items (pepper sauces, pickled okra, candies, and the like), but you definitely want to head to the back of the store to say hi to the bunnies! Around that area is also a clearance table, always worth a check- most recent finds include a $5 faucent-mount water purifier and $2 Hello Kitty duct tape. They have it all here, except Koi food. They do have clothes, food, feed for almost anything you can legally feed in Vegas, home deco, soda, rafting stuff, hunting stuff. You gret the idea? They lose a star because the cashier is almost always on the phone, and she doesn't let a silly thing like ringing a customer up slow her conversation. The rest of the staff is VERY friendly. Stopped in to look for a propane tank heater. Asked one of the employees where they might be located and she advised me they do not carry any propane heaters, only electric plug in heaters. I thought this odd so decided to take a gander through the store and happened to locate the Mr Heater propane heater I was looking for. It was not marked with a price so went to counter for a price check, 149.99 which is full price and a quick check if the internet had the item 20-30 dollars cheaper. I asked if they offered any price matches, which they do not. Decided just to buy online and have it shipped in two days. Staff should be more knowledgeable and they should have a better price match policy in this day and age. They did have a good array of items available in store and the store was clean but at least one of the employees seemed like they were sneaking around to be on their cell phone hoping no one would catch them. read more

As a point of reference I am a hefty woman of color with purple hair so I am hard to miss. Unless I am first in line to check out in which case I become invisible. I literally had 2 cashiers ignore me and call people to step in front of me as I stood with a potential purchase in my hands. ‍Invisible Me and my very real money will go elsewhere. Update. I wrote the review in the store and then just to make sure I wasn't being paranoid went to register and they literally ignored me again. They did however pay attention to the two people who were not hefty, woman of color with purple hair. Maybe it's the hair? The purple is like a cloak of invisibility? Oh and when I published the yelp review ( while in the store) they were apparently notified and were reading it as I walked back up and still ignored me and when I pointed it out that this was the 3rd time they'd "didn't see me" they smirked offered an inauthentic apology and told me to have nice day. What's a girl to do? This girl is going over to Jones Feed Store and spending money there! Not one interaction with any staff member, has been positive or satisfactory in my experience. Do you folks like to resolve issues or leave customers unhappy with a negative experience they had at your store? In my case it seems the latter seems to be the mode of operation. Well, to start off, I recently bought a weapon from this store and I noticed right off the bat that they are very competitive in pricing and have a decent selection of good hunting rifles. I was more impressed with the gentleman behind the counter. I believe his name is Evan. He was incredibly informative and showed me all sorts of things and helped me weigh the pros and cons of each. His knowledge about the guns and applications for different ones really helped me choose the right one. I got some other accessories and was very satisfied with my purchase. I keep giving this place another shot since they are very close to where I live, but I will be taking the extra time to go elsewhere from now on. The staff is never friendly. Ever. I mean, they don't even say a word to you when you get to the counter. More often than not, I've been ignored while they take a phone call or talk to a fellow employee. I'm a regular customer for this store for a couple years now not even five minutes from my home but on my last trip there to buy some tools for work it's took forever to help me just to get one tool that was locked just to ask the employe that unlocked it for me was fast and efficient but the blonde lady up front at the cashier was just having casual conversation with her friends. C-A-L Ranch stores have some of the friendliest employees anywhere. They do however, have abysmal polices and dreadfully lack of training, especially in their guns and ammo. Went to the first counter in Cedar City on my way home from a job. Told the guy needed a couple of boxes of SKS anmo. They gave me 2 boxes of 7.62 by 54. As I had not bought any ammo for a little over a year, I wasn't even thinking and just accepted that. I went to the 2nd store in St. George Utah on the next leg of my journey South. Same thing, went to the counter asked for 2 boxes of SKS ammo. Again was given 2 boxes of 7.62 by 54. I was half way between Las Vegas and St. George when talking to my cousin he reminded me that I needed 7.62 by 39. I thought to myself, no problem I will Exchange them at the store in Las Vegas. However I got into the store at Las Vegas and was informed that they do not do exchanges or returns on ammunition. Now I am stuck with 4 boxes of ammo for a Mosin Nagant rifle, which I do not own. DO NOT trust them for any advice on weapons and ammo. I failed to double check and no I get to eat $80 of ammo. read more
