Highly Recommend! Our car started to have issues driving down to visit family in Westchester County for a holiday weekend from Boston. The friendly staff was open first thing the morning after Thanksgiving, and told us to bring our vehicle right over. They are not trustworthy. The responded for a AAA call for a dead battery. The mechanic switched the positive and negative . There were sparks everywhere and the mechanic admitted his fault. They've told Aaa there is no prof that was the issue and we are not getting reimbursed to fix their work even though the dealer, which is where the car was towed indicates that was the only problem. Absolute terrible service called AAA for a tow truck. They dispatched it to C&C waited 5 hours and never got an update nor has the vehicle been picked up. On Friday afternoon 8/8 my muffler broke its hanger strap and started bouncing on the road. I had just gotten on the Cross County Pkwy and exited immediately into Mt Vernon, where I parked on the first side street I came to. Called AAA (who were great) and they sent C&C, whose flatbed truck arrived not terribly much thereafter. The driver introduced himself - Angel - and was spectacular - friendly, courteous, and as it turned out, incredibly helpful. He got on hands & knees, looked at the muffler, poked at it - and it broke off the exhaust pipe and fell to the ground. He picked it up, asked if I wanted it so it could be reconnected when I got home - because now the car was completely drivable (just noisy) - and put it in the back of my car (hatchback). We spoke briefly, he gave me C&C's address and recommended them if I ever had another problem in the area. 10 out of 10 rating!!! Give that man a raise! they have a driver that works for aaa (anthony r) he was very rude and condescending. because ,i have 2 luxury vehicles and i'm african american. he was asking questions about my car that was not in the guidelines of aaa policy. i still showed him the information he requested and still refused to service my car . after aaa kept sending a request to pick up my car because i verified all the information . anthony told aaa i didn't have registration which was a lie , he kept putting in the system that he towed my car . but he never showed up i had to request for a new company come out for my car. the boss of the company called said he's been a problem all day and he would come his self. he never showed!!!! i will be making a complaint with customer relations . and i will be posting on every platform.. do not use this company read more

Do not go here for a simple emissions inspection. They charged me double what is usually charged. I paid $20 for the last two years and all of a sudden this year, they charged me $40 for the same inspection when I went without my husband. Shady. Initially had my Mustang towed by C&C to a Ford dealership garage in Brooklyn. Got a good feeling after speaking to the owner during the tow so I ultimately brought it C&C for repairs. Best decision I ever made. I had been looking for a good local garage for a while. I looked all over Westchester County and the Bronx and I have to say you can't beat C&C. I cant say enough nice things about them. Fast, reliable, extremely reasonably priced, and super professional family owned business. The other reviews are right, they are incredibly honest, you can bring the parts you want to install, and they service both American and foreign cars. You don't find jewels like this often. You can tell a great garage when they are so busy with repeat customers that they are swamped regularly. Hats off to the people there, they are runnin a wicked Mustang on Street Outlaws that is pushin the laws of thermodynamics. What I thought was an honest family run business turned out to be anything but! Nick did some work on my previous vehicle and I thought he was a good an honest mechanic. I was very happy that he was selling a Subaru. He told me the car was safe and reliable and the only thing the car needed was tires. Two weeks after I bought the car I had Nick do the tires a couple of days later the alternator went. I gave him the benefit of the doubt saying he probably didn't know but I didn't think it was fair that he charged me full labor being he just sold me the car a couple of weeks before then again not everybody thinks for the way that I do. A couple of weeks after that my exhaust pipe fell off I called Sarah and she said you must've hit a pothole. I informed her that I was driving on fifth Avenue which was freshly paved and there are no potholes. A man who was helping me went under my car and said that the pipe was rotted and I took a picture of the pipe and Sarah even said in the text that it looked rotted. The next day they picked up my car didn't call me back all day so Nick said he didn't get a chance to look at it. The day after that they avoided my calls the entire day. Finally I had to get in touch with Sarah because my job was getting upset. once again she said I hit something and crushed the center pipe. I informed her that I hit nothing that the pipe rotted off. Then she told me it would be $900 to fix. I posted the screenshot of her saying that it looked rotted.I told her I was coming to pick up the car. When I got there Nick couldn't even look at me and I told him Meineke was going to put a straight pipe in. Meineke told me to get the pipe. Nick told me I didn't need the pipe now I'm telling him I didn't hit anything why wouldn't he give me my pipe back? If the pipe was crushed he obviously would've given it back to me!Also my inspection was expired January my engine light came on right after I bought the car. Nick said that he changed an oxygen sensor and sometimes that happens because it has to reset. I went back twice. The engine light kept coming on after I drove 100 miles.When I said to him I have till the end of January to get the car inspected he said yes. I bought this car the end of December.Meanwhile I got pulled over in Eastchester yes the inspection was up in January but January 2022 so he flat out lied to my face I got a ticket for $143. $50 for the ticket and $93 surcharge. I got confused with January and I thought it was expired January 2023. so when he reset the code he said there was nothing wrong with the car I had my brother do the code check and the catalytic converter was bad. I also had AutoZone do a code check and it said the catalytic converter was bad. But nicks code checker said nothing was wrong!By this time I was done dealing with these crooks and liars. I had to have another mechanic do the catalytic converter and I also needed another oxygen sensor cost me $885. I seen the fumes coming out of the vents and one day I was driving and I stopped breathing and got very dizzy. I thought I had a medical condition. Thank God I opened the windows and started deep breathing before I got into an accident. I was in a very serious car accident November 2021 I broke my pelvis in two places and I had to stay home from work for many months making less than half of my salary. It hurt me not only physically but also financially and Nick knew this. He didn't care he ripped me off anyway! I trusted him to sell me a safe and reliable car to get to work while I was trying to get back on my feet. he said the car only needed tires.When actually it needed an alternator, and exhaust system, a catalytic converter, another oxygen sensor and a right axle. I find it hard to believe because he's an experienced mechanic with decades of experience that when he did my tires he didn't realize my right axle was bad and he didn't know anything about all of these other problems. my coworkers boyfriend felt bad for me that I got taken such advantage of he welded a pipe into my car and connected it to one of the mufflers so Nick was going to do the job for $900 my coworkers boyfriend did the job for $100 the pipe cost $80 and he felt so bad he didn't want to take any money. It's a shame they have to treat customers like this when they have a successful business. They lied to me from the beginning they said the car had one owner my friend did a title search and it had two owners. I tried to keep this short and sweet but it's a very twisted story. They don't care that they lost me as a customer because they have plenty of customers through AAA.I guess if he's friends with you he won't rip you off but he didn't know me. He just knew me from doing the wheel bearings on my previous car. So I paid $4500 for this car spent all this money to try and fix it and it still runs like crap!I'm just a hard-working woman that needed a reliable car to get to and from work! Went there because of AAA endorsement. A simple $440 radiator replacement has turned into a never-ending loop of "check engine" light coming on after the repair, go back there, reset, quotes for additional parts needed. A $100 second opinion from another shop (who told me it's a sensor issue) might well save me $500 or so. update: brought it back. it took another $400+ to pass inspection, plus they burned an entire tank of gas! Told me they had to drive it 300 miles because of...who cares why??. The light is still on, and the kicker is when I told them they said "bring it to us next year when inspection is due." Right. Over $800 (plus the $100 mentioned earlier), no new radiator, check engine light is still on and I am a sap. I complained to AA. Update/clarification: not entirely their fault but they didn't handle this well. The Mitsu radiator was backordered and a different radiator was installed, that didn't communicate with the computer. No need to detail all the drama and headache but this has been resolved via another shop. read more

AAA referred me to C & C Auto Repair after I caught a flat in New Rochelle. The tow truck came in about half an hour, my car was not too far from the shop. I had no problem with the tow service. The problem started when I got to the office. I sat in the office for over 3 hours waiting for a "tire" to arrive. When it finally did, I got the bill, $300!!! C & C decided to give me a brand new tire, the same exact type that was on my car. When I sat there for 3 hours no one asked me if I wanted a new tire or a used one, they just assumed I wanted to pay $300 for a brand new tire. I didn't even raise a complaint because I was in there for so long and just wanted to get out. I ended up paying $300 and lost over 3 hours of my life. If someone had just talked to me when I got there and asked me what I wanted I would be satisfied. Poor Customer Service. Will not use again. read more

I had a relatively extended experience with them. After my car failed to start one evening I called AAA for a tow. When the tow truck came I wanted it towed to a local shop but then he told me about his shop. Since I trust AAA to vet out any non-reputable shops I decided to have my car serviced by them. After calling every couple of days for a status update I got my car back in about a week. It was a hefty cost for the repair; the invoice only showed the car part cost and did not break out the labor. (More on that later.) A couple of days later the car wouldn't start and called them directly to be towed back to the shop. I called every few days thereafter to find out the status of my car. After about two weeks of waiting they called me that the car was repaired. They figured (finally) what went wrong, fixed it, and didn't charge me. Way to own up to the repair quality. (!) So here is my take: The original invoice had a huge mark up on the part cost compared to what I could find on online car part costs. From what my friend told me (and I verified), car repairs by law need to break down the part cost separately from the labor cost. (I don't believe that a tow truck operator is allowed to "sway" anyone to direct them to their shop for repairs. But that is my gut instinct rather than from fact.) They do not let you know what is going on with your car until it is ready for pick up. One has to kind of keep on top of them. I get it that the second time I had it in their shop that I wouldn't be a high priority since they wouldn't be charging me for the redo. They are honorable that they upheld the "agreement" that they'd take care of the repair. I didn't complain nor be nasty to them all the while. I feel that by being civil with them that I didn't experience a bad time with them even though it took two tries and about three weeks of calling and waiting. After I had my car in the first time and starting reading the bad experiences some have had. I felt a lump in my throat and a heavy heart. It disappeared when I finally got my car back. However, during the second "installment" of car repair hell, I felt pretty nervous that I'd have to get unruly with them and that I would get "hosed" for another expensive invoice. Those fears didn't come to pass. One has to remember that this is a small shop (not that many bays) and not some large operation. So they have only so many mechanics to work on the vehicles in hand and they do have a lot of cars. Overall be civil to them and they'll treat you right. It worked for me. :-) read more

WENT FROM 4 STARS TO 1 SINCE ZEROES NOT AN OPTION. Original: Like many, my car needed to be towed through AAA so I could get a charge to my cars battery (the hood was jammed shut when we tried to jump the car ourselves). I was supposed to be towed to Greenwich but the driver asked if I'd rather go to his shop. I thought why not? It took a few days since there was also an oil leak and I had told them it was not a top priority (that I could use my work van). A couple of days later I got the call that I could come pick up my car. But I hadn't yet read the reviews until today en route to pick up my car. My heart dropped reading some reviews and I thought I'd be out hundreds if not thousands from unforeseen charges and surely there was a battle in my future. In short, none of my fears took place. The car turned on and was fully charged, I paid my fully reasonable bill and thought Sarah (I'm assuming) was funny and just A-OK in my book. We all have our days, customer and repair-worker alike. In all my experience was smooth with good communication all around. **UPDATE Turns out this place TOLD ME I NEEDED AN OIL CHANGE (lord knows if I did, I DOUBT IT) and they fully stripped and ruined my oil plate and it was a huge cost to replace (by reputable mechanics) in the end. Waited for 3 hours for AAA tow. Guy came and left without looking at car because he had had 5 calls in a row without a break and he "didn't need this $***." Called AAA back. They got C&C to come and he solved the problem within 15 minutes. When I tried to go in my house to get a tip for Danny and broke my key in the lock, he tried to help with that, too! C&C Auto Repair were great!!!.. You cannot find trustworthy mechanics these days that are not trying to rip you off. C&C saved me hundreds of dollars off a dealership repair quote. I was prepared to stay all day, but my car was worked on and finished within 1.5 hours. I can't express how happy I am to have found this shop. A brief summary: 1. I couldn't start my car and called AAA for towing service. As the tow truck driver recommended my car was towed to C&C Automotive Repair Inc. (the local AAA affiliated shop). I was told that the ALTERNATOR and BATTERY needed to be replaced. 2.  I drove my car two days later. My car was dead in the middle of the road. I  called the C&C and they took my car back to their shop. They told me ALTERNATOR was defective and they replaced it with another one without any charge. 3. I drove my car again and my car was dead again. C&C took my car back again. My car was kept at the shop for 5 days and there was a lack of communication. Eventually, they told me they replaced the OXYGEN SENSOR and I was charged for it. 4. I drove my car again after they fixed it 3 times and my car still had the same issue. I took my car to another mechanic for diagnosis. I was informed that ALTERNATOR C&C put in is not compatible with my car. And the poor charging system killed the BATTERY. And the OXYGEN SENSOR may not need to be replaced. What a nightmare! Hope it doesn't happen to anyone else. read more

C & C deserves a much better rating. I've been going to them since at least 2014 if not earlier. They are a AAA certified repair shop and you never have to worry about getting ripped off. We had a minor accident on a Sunday and called AAA. They sent a tow truck from C & C. The tow driver was very pleasant. He dropped my wife off at a relative's house first, which was considerate. I dealt with Sara over the phone about repairs that were needed. She. Was responsive and always pleasant over the phone. She explained what needed to be done and readily told me the detailed costs. The work was done in a timely way with no hitches. The car worked fine when we drove it away. I felt that they were being honest and not padding the work. Given that we were from out of town and were not dealing face to face, another repair shop might well have taken advantage of us. read more

The first time I used C & C was because my car needed a new alternator. My battery had died and that seemed to be the issue. Nick told me the car would be ready, and I picked it up from Sarah the following day. When my car died in the middle of the street in Mount Vernon, I almost died. My vehicle lost all control of steering and the lack of power almost cause many accidents. When I called C&C about this, they informed that they installed a refurbished alternator instead of a brand new one, and told me it was "the same". I told them I wanted my old alternator back and they refused. I arrived at the store and Sarah berated me, stating that I didn't deserve to have it back. After reading NY State Law assuring her that, Yes, I was entitled to my equipment, Sarah swore, abused, and made me feel ill as a customer. She threatened to call the police during her harassing diatribe. Sarah also called her tow driver and told him to threaten me to leave the store. I have recorded this as well on my cell phone. When Nick arrived at the store, he told me to get lost. After I asked for my money back, he begrudgingly returned it, and told me to leave, along with my old alternator. I told him I would never come back. This place is rude to customers and scams people with faulty equipment. As a AAA Member of many years, I am shocked that this company is still contracted for services. Buyers Beware. Stay Away. There are plenty of better, ethically companies with integrity in New Rochelle. read more
