Tina, Rocco's office manager, could not have been more professional or friendly, answering each of my calls on the first ring. I brought the car in for an estimate the next day. The diagnosis was confirmed, and I was quoted a price of $1,600, including wheel alignment. The work was done the following day, and the price I paid was the price quoted. My family and I just moved to Tuckahoe. I needed an inspection for my vehicle. Got to Rocco's at around 10am. Was told to come back at 2pm. So I Waited and Came back at 2pm. Was flat out told no when I asked for an inspection with no reason given. I said you told me earlier to come back at 2. The reply was I would have to leave the car there. The car is only one year old and no need to leave it. Very rude and condescending. I never got the inspection done. read more

Scam artist. He said I needed new break pads which was a total lie. I had them put in 2 months before. I have heard from people in his industry that he over charges. Also he does a horrible job and I think he used inferior parts. Way too expensive do not go here. Also he is not very nice. He makes you feel like an idiot. Do not waste your time. There are much better guys along that street or in another town. Trust me do not go here unless you like wasting your money. Those who say he is great guy are lying. He is not. His employees are just the same. Take what others say about them with a grain of salt. I would be very skeptical of the positive reviews. read more

I noticed my tire pressure light was on, even though I had just had my tires changed. I came in without an appointment and within 15 minutes it was fixed (I had a nail in the tire) and I was on my way! Rocco was very friendly and accommodating. As a local student, I really appreciate it! This was my second time at the Service Center and on both occasions I had a great experience. If you need work on your car definitely go to Rocco. read more

Just bought a brand-new car and wouldn't you know it, I put a nice dent in the front right corner as I was trying to park around a huge chunk of ice (thanks to this g--damn Winter of 2014). Car was literally 2-weeks old. I looked online to see how to fix it and it seemed more involved than my skill or patience could tolerate. So I called up Rocco's and he said he'd take a look and give me an estimate. It was a bit more than I thought it should be. But when I came back and saw the work--really, the fact that I couldn't see any of the work, not one trace of the dent--I was very impressed. Worth it. I've been going to Rocco for years, through a bunch of different cars (some newer, some older) and have always been beyond happy with both the work & the customer service. I know I will always get a straight answer & quality work - Rocco always stands behind everything he does (& then some) and consistently goes above & beyond. He'll tell me when something is fine & doesn't need attention just as often as I hear what's wrong. I'm a young woman (always a disadvantage in the auto repair industry) & I don't know much about cars but I know when someone is honest & trustworthy. Rocco's the best. i wouldn't go anywhere else. He's not often the cheapest but he'll save you more $ in the long run with better quality parts & excellent labor & service. The only reason this place gets one star is because the oil change was at least done properly. This guy is a scam artist and a scumbag. If you're a young girl with a car and this place is in your area, beware. This guy will automatically assume you know nothing about cars and will try to get you to spend 100s on work that does not need to be done. He said I needed new brake pads and rotors, reasonable enough but when I asked to see them .. he so conveniently had already put the tires back on and instead showed me messed up rotors that were on the floor. I went to a family friend instead who could tell immediately that not only were my rotors and brake pads in fine working condition, but roccos had never even taken the tires off my car! Don't waste your money here. There is a Mavis up the street and they'll actually show you your car and explain problems to you! read more

I went to get my state inspection done here and he said I needed new brake pads. I brought my car back to a mechanic I've been going to for years that I trust and he said my brakes were fine, and, that the person who did the inspection didn't even take the tires off of my car to check! My roommate also brought her car here to get an inspection and he said the same thing to her. She had gotten her brakes done a few months prior and knew he was lying to her. He just assumed that because we were young girls we didn't know anything about cars and would trust whatever he said. He tried to scam us into paying a lot of money for something that didn't even need to be done. Horrible service, I won't be going back. read more
