I was referred to Raj and his company when there was lots of work needed on our very old (but reliable) vehicle, and the person who was originally going to do it skipped town We needed to pass inspection and leave town the following weekend. I was sent with incorrect information regarding the work being done, and Raj was provided incorrect information regarding the vehicle. We were at a temporary standstill, me because I'm frustrated driving there trying to make sure things got fixed, him because he wants to make sure he has what's needed, etc. Eventually, after a few phone calls, we got things situated, and he was able to get the work started. As we watched people come and go, I could see he has a large clientele of loyal customers. He was clear about the work that was provided with each person, and even when someone new came in, they were comfortable with him. The office area is small but clean. We were there all day! Longer than the shop hours even. He wS determined to get everything done as needed. Long story short, we passed the inspection, and the work he did was phenomenal! I was recommended by a Jamaican colleague of my wife whose car services were being provided by Raj and his son for over 12 years. My 15 yr Camry steering had 'seized' up at a gas station and on calling my wife, she said 'Go to this guy Raj, I will send the address in a moment'. I managed to get the address and also get the steering going and went straight to Raj. He was welcoming and in 30 minutes he made a long list of items to be done. Looking at it I may have been in a crash soon. Raj provided me an estimate and even said he will try to adjust as costs of parts may come down a bit depending on provider. It was all genuine parts. Car was fixed and since 2018 I have taken our cars and daughter's car to Raj. He is very professional. He tells you as it is and never try to lure you to his business with promises. All parts are genuine and for the make and model. His prices may be a tad higher but you get what you paid for, and more. Being straight up can be mistaken for being 'rude' but he does his best to accommodate his customers. His son is built with his 'mould' and together they provide one of, if not the best car repair services in the area. I do not recommend servicemen easily as it can come back to bite me. They have done good work for me in the past. On this one occasion I was told I need some extensive work done on my car. We came to a arrangement that I would buy the parts and they would fix them as I brought them in. Next the owner told me I need additional work that was missed (some how) and it changed the price or parts and labor dramatically. He was not will to work with me. I was told it all need to get done in one shot. Then when I said ok I cant afford that and was leaving he change his tune and said "ok I'll put in the parts you have today cause I need to keep my guys busy". This is not how you do business. We could have come to a arrangement but it is what it is. They have two location one on fulton and the other shop on 15 - 17 Elm Ave. Be very careful if your going to do business here! read more

I am flabbergasted by the behavior of the owner of this establishment! My husband is Italian and I am not sure if he was being racist towards him because he is Guyanese! He refused to do the inspection on my personal truck because it was a Kia. He said to my husband, I don't like to have cheap cars in here you will have to leave. Oh my goodness, really??? wow!! I chose to drive a Kia and this is how you treat customers.
