Within 2 years it started to fail, chipping off, warping. They came out and advised us that it was water however it was in areas that are nowhere near water. Their fix was to give my husband trim which we had to purchase and my husband installed it around the bottom of the cabinets. I would advise not resurfacing your existing cabinets because at least with the Cabinet Doctors it won't withstand time. When we were reviewing proposals their son said it would last a lifetime-just a sales pitch!

It still didn't function well, but I worked around it. A leak in the wall behind the cabinets, forced an unexpected remodel. I received estimates from several contractors using stock or RTA "IKEA" kitchen cabinets. The cabinets I saw in these stores did not seem as sturdy as my existing cabinets. I couldn't customize and would have similar unusable spaces where the pre-made cabinets are put together. The contractors and pre-made cabinet stores told me custom cabinets would cost twice as much as their estimates. While looking for design ideas, I saw multiple Houzz and Reddit posts stating a local carpenter could give me custom cabinets at a much better price. I am so glad I paid attention to the posts!
