Within 2 years it started to fail, chipping off, warping. They came out and advised us that it was water however it was in areas that are nowhere near water. Their fix was to give my husband trim which we had to purchase and my husband installed it around the bottom of the cabinets. I would advise not resurfacing your existing cabinets because at least with the Cabinet Doctors it won't withstand time. When we were reviewing proposals their son said it would last a lifetime-just a sales pitch!

In 2012 I had Closet Doctor make several cabinets for my garage. In 2026 I started to notice that…read morethe doors on the cabinet above my workbench were not aligning properly and rubbed when closing them. While trying to solve this problem I noticed that the cabinet was pulling away form the wall in the top right hand corner. I removed all the items from the cabinet and called the Closet Doctor asking them to make the necessary repairs. This was late in the week and I was told they could fix the problem early next week. The repairmen arrived as scheduled and fixed the problem. When I had made the appointment I didn't ask how much it would cost because I was willing to pay whatever it cost to get the cabinet repaired. When they were done and the cabinet was once again flush with the wall I asked how much it cost for the repair and was pleasantly surprised when they told me there was no charge. The Closet Doctor is definitely a company that stands behind their work. All the other cabinets are working as good as when they were first installed. I highly recommend them.
