Four hours later I got a call saying the original tow truck company that was called never picked it up! I would give Rick ten stars if I could. My car broke down in San Miguel and it took Geico almost an hour to find a tow company that would tow my car and me 105 miles to Monterey. Finally, they connected with C&D and Rick came to my rescue immediately. He turned my frown upside down and we had such a great conversation for the long ride home. Worst tow company ever! Our driveway can easily hold 10 cars and they park the towed vehicle right in the only entrance to the driveway. Then they lock the keys in the car so it can't be moved and no cars can get in or out of the driveway. So we have to wait 4 hours for him to come back and unlock car. Then when they guy gets here he is rude and says he is just doing what he was told. Maybe he needs some common sense and put the car 5 feet out of the way not right in the middle of the entrance. read more

Wow! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! My car wouldn't start and it was starting to get dark. My car insurance company called C & D Towing. Eric (grandson of the owner) met me very quickly, loaded up my CRV carefully, and then after driving me to a local service station, he waited with me until my family arrived to pick me up! I'd give them 10 stars if I could... Beyond amazing service! I still can't believe how kind these guys were! My teenage daughter and I were in an accident last night (hit a deer)... we're both ok, but my car is mangled. When the tow service arrived, I was still kinda frazzled and trying to get my ducks in a row... These guys were so nice and really helped to lighten the mood. We were 2+ hours from home and had to get a motel room for the night... the only room available was all the way out in Morro Bay (and horribly overpriced). The Uber ride was gonna run us $90 ‍ Long story short... These awesome guys transported the car to the tow yard, and then told us they were driving us to Morro Bay!! What?!?! I couldn't believe it!! They also stayed to make sure we got into the motel ok etc... since it was after midnight by this point. I am so grateful for their kindness and generosity, it's almost difficult to put it into words. We were really in a bad situation and they saved the night (It's true... not all heroes wear capes!!) I used my insurance to have my car towed after it wouldn't start. The insurance used C&D towing. I didn't know what to expect as I had never needed a tow before. When the tow truck arrived, I was very impressed with the spacious cab and how friendly the driver was. I think his name was Tony. My car is lowered so I was dreading having it scrape as it was pulled onto the flatbed. Tony was real careful and even told me that he noticed I had some nice rims on the vehicle and he used another method to secure the vehicle instead of the tire wraps. I was so impressed that he took care of me and my vehicle and was also impressed that he was so friendly even late at night after a long work day. If I ever need roadside assistance I will request C&D towing again from my insurance company. Thank you Tony! read more

My day was rapidly going downhill as I sat on the side of 101 South with my car which was having a radiator issue. My call to my insurance company took me to an automated road side assistance center where I spent 20 minutes talking to someone in New Jersey, I think, who couldn't quite find me. I was expecting a 45 minute wait when Leon pulled up within 5 minutes of me ending my road side assistance call. He was SUPER! Professional, funny, competent, smart, nice! Brakes locked on boat trailer on Chimney Rock Road as we were headed to the lake. Called Eric at C & D Towing and he sent Rick to our rescue. Rick was very professional and knowledgeable. He loaded the trailer with boat onto his flatbed. This process required someone with skills since the trailer wheels had to ride up on the side panels of the flat bed. Living 3000 miles away on the east coast, I flew out to the central coast to help my sister and take care of business while she was in the hospitals healing.
