I don't like being a hater but GOD DAMN this place really just buns I came back a year later to try and give it a second chance in hopes that maybe they got it together but you ever have a meal so bad you sit there and just laugh? Monday special was a brisket plate which ended up being $17 after tax and tip. Asked for lean brisket with Mac and ranch potatoes. How you charge somebody $17 for cafeteria food. Literally could've went to HEB, sliced up a steak, and threw it in the microwave and got the same quality for half the price. Like bro what is this. Got me gnawing on overcooked erasers and having to drown the taste in a barbecue sauce that's 90% ketchup. Highlight of the meal was the pickles which are honestly just hamburger pickles out a jar and that leaves a lot to be said about the food. I am in NO WAY a professional reviewer. So my standards aren't even that high to begin with. The fact that I'm taking time out of my day to write this says a lot about the food.

Hadn't been to this location but wow it's really great!! they have a massive dining area- the setup is awesome- whoever designed it did a really great job- Customer service is great- everyone was super helpful- love the condiment bar and the options there- The brisket was nice and moist!! which i greatly enjoyed- i also just love how many side options they have- my husband loves the okra in particular. The mac n cheese was pretty good but needed some more salt. The pinto beans needed more salt too but better than having too much so i understand the thought. I look forward to trying more things in the future!!! the medians to get here was a pain but that's not C&Js fault and i know everyone in town have beef with the medians. Way to go C&J!! extra points for them too because they donated to our elementary silent auction!!

This is no chain BBQ; it's the real deal Texas BBQ! I am a certified BBQ judge and have eaten a lot of BBQ from different regions. I can say, based on experience that C&J is up there with the big boys of Texas BBQ! And of course, Texas BBQ is king! My whole family went out for a nice dinner at C&J on Memorial Day evening. We were thrilled to see them open and not out of BBQ. We were quickly greeted up front and went on down the line trying to choose from all of the delicious looking meats, sides and desserts. The staff was friendly and helpful. There were so many of us that we had a little of everything. I had the brisket and sausage. The Brisket was the best! Traditional Texas with plenty of pepper, perfectly done and moist. It was some of the very best that I've had. The sausage was good, but seemed to be traditional Kielbasa. I would have enjoyed beef, but it is not offered. The two sausages offered are pork and spicy pork. Also, I was a little disappointment that I only got 3, half-slices of brisket. It appears as though you get less if you order two meats. Still it was excellent! Live and learn... My son had the pork spare ribs. They were Texas style with pepper and no sauce. The were also excellent! While I did not try the chicken half, they also looked to be a perfect Texas-style half. The sauce on-the-side was really good. There was regular and spicy. It has a tomato base and slightly sweet. Just the way like it. The only dish that we really didn't care for was by Dad's chopped beef sandwich. It was very finely chopped and soggy. I think a coarse chop with less sauce would have been much better. The sides were also very good. We had fried okra and my favorite was the collard greens. Yum! Almost everything was delicious! I will definitely be back and this time know what to order. That brisket is extraordinary! And don't forget to finish it off with a blackberry or peach cobbler. Better yet, the banana pudding!

Enjoyed my loaded baked potato with brisket. The customer service is great. I have only used the drive thru, so I can't speak to the ambiance. I recommend asking for extra BBQ sauce.

Stopped in for some BBQ Ordered the Brisket, jalapeños sausage, and ribs, with green beans and monthly special carrots and broccoli. He was ok, the brisket and ribs were a little fatty for me. Jalapeños sausage was excellent. Service was fast and friendly. Inside is super cool with nice stuff to check out. Pics attached

I used to live around Hempstead, Prairie view and Waller a couple years ago when I first came to Texas and it was kinda hard finding good places to eat ' I'm not gonna lie I was scouring yelp for about 30 mins before I stumbled across Burger House. I even got to the point where I asked some locals and they said Burger House was a burger staple in C station. Upon looking at the photos, it seemed like a burger that you make at the house to be candid. When I pulled up, I was like "oh wow this place look like a straight shack that's fasho." I decided to go through the drive-through & when I pulled up to the drive-through the gentleman who took my order was hella welcoming and just overall nice like he was happy I pulled up. I swear I was the highlight of my visit. I ended up getting the combo , bacon cheeseburger with fries and a drink, and it was for decent price too. The burger itself was mediocre if I'm being honest, the meat lacked some seasoning, though the fries were pretty decent with a soft inside, light crisp outside. I like the fact they put the lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles on the side instead of in the burger which can make it soggy. So there was some attention to detail. The Bun though? That thang was soft on the outside and was lightly toasted on the inside, which was dope. Would I be back? If I'm being honest, just to say wasup to the gentlemen who took my order and that's about it!

Garlic Burger w/ Garlic Fries- if you're a garlic fan, this was packed with a pretty strong garlicky taste. Superman w/ Garlic Fries- large and flavorful. Not too spicy from the jalapeños, but the veggies and bun balances it out. Banana Pudding- probably the best that I've ever had and I've eaten a lot. We got a combo with all garlic fries and a refillable fountain drinks. The burgers were made fresh and so juicy. The garlic fries were ridiculously delicious. The drinks were Texas made and they delicious. I loved the strawberry cream soda or the orange cream soda. Lots of different burgers and desserts to choose from. Overall, decently priced for the portions and the quality of the food. These burgers were probably the best fresh juicy burgers that we've had so far in town. We will definitely be back to try the other choices. Staff are very friendly. It was pretty busy so they gave me a heads up about waiting approximately 40mins which was ok for us cause we had time on our side. I was just happy and appreciative that they communicated that vs me just waiting forever thinking that they forgot about me. The restaurant is self order and pickup. As small as it looks on the inside, there's quite a bit tables to include a mini snack shop. There are additional tables outside too. It can get a little congested near the cashiers area. We were on our way…read moreto college station and wanted to get something to eat as we got closer to our destination. We checked Yelp for something other than Mexican food and this place had really great reviews. As soon as we walked it we knew it was going to be good. The menu isn't too large, which to me meant that they have spent a lot of time perfecting the things that are on the menu. The service was really good and as soon as we sat down, we ordered a couple of sodas and the Boudin balls. We took a couple minutes to look at the menu and everything looked really good, but the spicy chicken sandwich was really calling out to both of us. So we ordered those one with potato salad and one with rice. The Boudin balls were delicious. They were pretty large in size and the sauce that it came with had a little bit of a kick to it. My favorite thing was that it was mostly meat on the inside and the flavor was incredible. Same with the chicken sandwich. It also had a kick and by the time I was done my mouth was pretty warm. I thought the potato salad was a great way to help cool it off, and it was just as good as the sandwich. I loved the batter on the chicken, and I thought the bun was toasted perfectly. This would be a place I would go to regularly if I lived in the area. Parking was pretty tight and most of the spots were taken up so we did park in a spot we weren't supposed to, but luckily we didn't get towed!

When I tell you the spirit of Louisiana and NOLA was in the place! So you will miss the place if you aren't paying attention. The sign is small and the building looks like it used to be a church fellowship hall. It's not fancy and it's small, however, don't discount it. Don't judge a book by its cover and great things come in small packages. It's a family owned and run business. By the looks of it, it can probably seat 40 people and I'm pushing it with the number. However from the time you walk in until the time you leave, you feel like you're at your great aunt's house. It was five of us and when you walk in, it's seat yourself and first come, first serve. The food came out piping hot and cooked fresh. My husband and brother-in-law got the catfish platter with red beans and rice (no pork) and Mac-n-cheese. My sister and I got the Nawlins boil that had a crab cluster, shrimp, corn, potato, boiled egg and a sausage link. My nephew got a shrimp po-boy with fries. The food was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The fish and fries were crispy. The Mac-n-cheese isn't creamy but it isn't dry. Perfect amount of cheese and flavor. The red beans and rice had the perfect balance of flavor. The boil...my goodness the boil. They have the amount of the boil down to a science to make it a full meal. At first glance, I didn't think it would be seasoned well because the season looked like a dry rub. It wasn't saucy or juicy - until I took my first bite. I almost walked to the kitchen to kiss the cook. They are not skimpy on any of the food either. Even the po-boy had an overload of shrimp. When we were there, it was a packed house. There was also a large party who was rather disgruntled - not because of the service or food but because they were impatient. Remember this is a family owned business with 2 servers and maybe 3 cooks that cook to order. So if you're looking for quick food, this isn't the place. If you have time to sit, enjoy some great food with great company in a casual home style restaurant...this is your place.
