My only gripe with the booze; would be sweet if they had a separate beer line. Takes a little time to take food orders, so it was tough getting more drinks. Been to the other Koppe Bridge many times, but this was our first stop at the original location. Most things are the same (food quality was consistent), but this location has a more suburban vibe than the Wellborn spot, and the outdoor patio is quite nice. Still the same country/feed store feel, but maybe slightly nicer. Service was very friendly, and we enjoyed a nice lunch out back. Good burger spot as always. read more

Someone we know said we should check this place out because it was the best burger they'd ever had. We checked it out but have to disagree. Burgers were okay but not the best WE'VE had in BCS. A sign said be prepared to wait up to an hour on game days. Definitely would not be worth that wait! As it were, we were there on a not-so-busy Friday night and we still had about a 25 minute wait after placing our order at the counter. I can see the appeal for groups though. There's lots of room to spread out and since you serve yourself, the service you get isn't dependent on how many tables a server has. My tip?! When you place your order, give them an unusual name like Lady Gaga or Willy Wonka. It's very hard to understand the garbled names on the speaker. Burgers were good. Daughter's chicken tenders were over cooked. Fries were way over cooked , almost too hard to eat and cold. I wanted to only order a burger with no fries for one of my kids and they said it would be same price with no fries. It cost $80 for 5 of us to eat. We could have had something other than burgers and tenders for $80. read more

These guys used to be great, but something has changed. I don't know if they have a new owner or manager, but they don't care about quality anymore. Their prices are still decent, but the food is not. The lettuce is always brown and wilted, because I assume they are prepping at least the day before. The fries are limp and tasteless whereas they used to be fresh and seasoned. I hate to leave a bad review, because they used to be so good. Maybe they just got too busy to provide their previous quality? I used to recommend these guys to everyone I met, but I would be embarrassed to do that now. The fried catfish is not very good. Overfried and not tasty at all. However, the half pound burger is great, worthing 4/5. Besides, the chicken sandwich is not bad. Had not been to Koppe Bridge since before Covid, but went today for lunch. They've always had two burger sizes--1/2 pound (too big) and 1/4 pound (too small). But now the smaller choice is 1/3 pound--perfect. Burger was excellent, fries even better. As for the service--much criticized in other reviews--we got there right at noon, but the long line to order moved quickly. The staff were highly efficient and friendly to boot. And the food--freshly cooked and nice and hot--was ready in about 10 minutes. 4.5 for the burger and fries, but pushed up to a 5 overall by the excellent service and the always congenial atmosphere. I got a burger basket with cheddar and grilled onions. Also curly fries. Well the curly fries were a complete disaster. Super hard/crunchy. Cold. No "curl". Again...yikes. Also tasted of fish. Please please PLEASE use separate fryers. Serious health code violation there. I would not serve that to a starving animal. My wife loves the fish tacos here but was severely disappointed. Half the size of portions we are used to and severely over seasoned. You put salt on a table for a reason...now my burger I asked for no tomato. Hello tomato. Grilled onions. I got 3. 3 grilled onions. The rest were raw. Biggest waste of .50 cents. It looked like my cheddar was about 2/3 the size of a normal slice. Like half of my burger was covered. wow has this place gone downhill in its food. This used to be THE BEST burger joint in town and now I'm just shocked at what they gave me. The fries were STALE and UNSEASONED! What kind of crazy person doesnt season their fries?! Instead, they just threw in salt and pepper packets for you. They used to season it well and they were amazing chunky fries with a beautiful crisp and moist inner body. I swear that even whataburger has better fries now. I'm just so saddened by this because this place had the reputation for making you want to eat the last crumb of your order. Visited this place for lunch on a recommendation. You walk into a Western theme with wood walls decorated with mounted deer heads, and stained wood furniture that includes distressed wood tables (most of which are heavily carved with names and initials). The vibe is immediately casual though a bit rushed as this place gets filled up quickly (luckily we got there early into the lunch hour), so be aware. Walk up and order, take a sit and wait for your name to be called... simple. I had the Philly cheese steak sandwich and fries. It was steamy hot but not very flavorful since the meat wasn't juicy. In fact it was surprisingly dry, the only semblance of taste came from the onions and bell peppers. The fries weren't exceptional, but not the worse I've ever had. Short answer, it was okay. We used to be regulars to this place. However, recently the service, the staff and the cooks have been rather disappointing. Our last two experiences here my son wanted an extra corn dog only (without the sides) and both times we were told "No we can't do that. We don't have an option on our register to ring that kind of an order up"..... Really ?!? It's a corn dog. Geez could have simply charged us for an extra side but nope it didn't happen. In addition to this the staff simply stand around on their cell phones texting or whatnot as well as the cooks- who all seem to be sitting down in the back of the restaurant eating food themselves. I Love it, I Love it, I Love it! When I was first introduced to Koppe Bridge we ordered their award winning hamburgers. They were awesome! Note: I haven't found anything on the menu that I don't like. It didn't take long for me to start branching out. The Coney with "The Works" quickly became a family favorite. Then.....it happened...we discovered the wings! OOOOOOOOooooWEEEE!! We get our wing sauce on the side just due to preference. The flavor of these breaded wings is unlike any other. Somebody's Grandmother must be frying these wings in the kitchen. :) I'm going to offer them extra money to fry the whole dern chicken!!! LOL! read more

Went here today 1:20 pm. I ordered catfish basket and my husband ordered chicken fried steak. Catfish cooked in fluor...no cornmeal....batter did not stick...so fish had no taste. Husband ordered chicken fried steak...batter did not stick. We went to counter and told girl taking orders we could not eat our food and we wanted a refund. She asked cook what to do. (No true manager on premises....) Cook told girl he would make burger but would not refund our money. Waste of $35.00 and not a good solution to the problem. They should really close 30 min before the stated time each day because that's what time they start closing up shop. Sundays they close at 3pm - our food was delivered around 2:30pm right around the time they started putting all of the chairs upside down on the empty tables, which was really loud and distracting, and sweeping, cleaning etc. A couple walked in at 2:50pm and was turned away. Would really just be better if they stated 2:30pm as their closing time. The hamburgers are very good - large in size, juicy, good choice of add-ons (grilled onions, jalapeños, etc.). One of the downsides is the beer selection. They had no microbrews, only common brands and no IPAs. Another downside is that they only take orders at the bar and you come pick up your food when it's ready, like a fast food restaurant. Koppe Bridge has realized that they can make more money if they sell hamburger baskets rather than hamburgers alone. So, they charge you for a basket when you order only a hamburger. If you're wondering if they warn you about charging for a basket. No, they don't. They just do it... which makes for a really expensive hamburger.
