    Chicken fried steak

CJ's Café is definitely one of our local favorite go to! We've had other things on the menu before and it's always been good this time we tried the chicken fried steak and I have never had a bad chicken fried steak till this time. The gravy was very bland and the breading was soggy and not good. The whole thing was just all wrong if you wanna make a good standard for chicken fried steak! the guys in charge of the cooking needs to go back to the drawing board on this one.

While visiting from California, some locals recommended we give this place a try, and I'm glad they did. Food was excellent, the people were extremely welcoming, and the interior was comfortable, all at a great value. I will be coming back if I'm in Delta again. Thanks for having us

I ordered the house salad, a side of fries and Navajo Taco. The house salad and fries were the highlight of the meal as I was really disappointed with the Navajo Taco. It was not exactly "fried bread", but bread itself. So much to where I couldn't eat the bread part. My friend got the chicken fried steak which she said was a bit tough. I give this 3 starts because the waitress kindly gave me their homemade tortilla chips to eat the beans of the Navajo Taco with when I asked (thanks!). Remember to pay at the register (we were waiting for 10 minutes for the waitress to pick up our payment when we realized we needed to pay at the register).

Side salad with Italian dressing on the side. #sbroadtrip2013

A restaurant for the locals. The service by Michelle was fast and friendly. The food was good and very cheap. We had a nice side salad (lettuce, not iceberg), a cheeseburger and chicken & cheese crispitos. For dessert we shared a slice of cherry pie which was good. For the prices, you get very good value here. #sbroadtrip2013

I don't write many reviews, but came to yelp to read others to see if I was out of my mind or not…read more First and foremost, the place is awesome looking (in Glenwood Springs) so we had to check it out. The minute we walked in, I thought it looked awesome. Lots of random shirts, hats, socks, etc for sale and a decently long line of people waiting for their sugar fix. Sarcasm was flowing from a few of the guys at the register and taking orders, which was also a great thing. As I'm standing in line waiting to order, I'm checking out the random socks. They look cool, but a little odd that there was no price. No big deal, I'm just looking, not buying. But still odd... A guy takes our order (5 people total), again with sarcasm on point. Definitely a place I'd hang out. Breakfast sandwiches for all of us. 3 coffees. 4 bottles of water. ...and of course we had to get a half-dozen doughnuts to sample the different flavors. Can't wait to try everything. Then... The total came to just over $140. One hundred forty dollars! Huh? How? What? The food was good. Everyone liked their breakfast sandwiches. The doughnuts were delicious. I was told the coffees were decent. So if it wasn't for the mind-boggling price I paid, I'd definitely go back, but factoring in the price, on principle alone, I just can't justify it. The place: 5 stars Staff: 5 stars Food: 4 stars Doughnuts: 5 stars Price: 0-1 stars
