He said something strange about 'probably' calling Monday. For context: it was in the middle of a brutal heat wave, and I have 2 kids and a dog. I left a msg and texted on Monday and was . . . A few years ago, we hired Matt to build a deck, and the experience was extremely disappointing. The quality of his work was poor, his communication was terrible (he would disappear for weeks and be non responsive), and he would make excuses for why he couldn't show up. What should've been a short project took nearly 18 months to complete. He cut numerous corners, and we've since had to bring in multiple contractors to assess and correct his work. Throughout the process, we paid Matt on time and treated him with respect. We would never recommend him.
