I am the worst customer an auto body repair shop could want. I'm very picky. I want my tundra to be perfect. Well I was rear ended the bumper,the lower part of th3 tailgate the drivers side quarter panel the brake light The first person I seen was Ish. A great first contact. A great guy. He told me everything that was going to be done. I was text often giving me updates all the way. When they called me and told me it was ready for pick up I didn't expect it to be perfect. But it was. The color matched perfect everything was perfect. The people who worked there. Ish and Giselle very professional. Mike the manager the same. Professional they make you feel like family. Great job. I would advise you to be wary because they messed with parts in my car that they shouldn't have touched. I took my car there for estimate on rear bumper ended repair, so they only needed to touch my rear bumper. After I picked it up. It "looked" fine. Couple days later driving at night noticed my left headlight did not go on. Which was strange to me because I recently replaced that whole headlight. I took it to my mechanic thinking it was a malfunction. The lightbulb was literally hanging out, which the mechanic confirmed someone messed with it. There was no reason for C & L to touch that headlight. I ended up paying to replace the bulb. I would not trust these people with any of my cars ever again. Shady if you ask me. Made a huge mistake by agreeing with my insurance company and taking my wife's Porsche Cayenne to this shop. NOTHING they repaired was done right. Car was dirty and had white leftovers of buffing material. From engine cover, to fender not installed right and is popping out, door handle button is not working, mirror not replaced as they promised, new paint have circular scratches on it due to bad buffing job and they actually missed a couple of the damages and didn't repair it. Here is the biggest kicker, when we picked up the car and realize what a horrible job they did the regional manger came to talk to us, he made things worst and here are some of his comments: We are a shop that work with insurance companies, what do you expect? Can't compare us with Porsche, our guys make $50 per hour and their guys make $200 There is always dust in the shop. This is why the paint has blisters, we can't prevent that. Run for your life, if you care for your car do not bring it to this shop. I am now going through hell with the insurance company to take the car to another shop, a Porsche certified shop. Their actions show their Integrity. Caused more damage to a vehicle and make no attempt rectify the situation. So be aware . The SHOP IS called Cheaters and Liars.... how very fitting!! I was referred to C & L by GEICO over the phone as part of their Geico Express Auto Repair program to fix damage to my bumper from someone backing into it (See picture). I was greeted immediately, and I could tell how much value C&L puts into their service. The process of checking my car in, meeting with the Geico adjuster, and setting me up with a car rental through Enterprise went very smoothly, completely painless, and all less than a half an hour. Although the estimate was for two days, I received a call the next day that my auto repair was complete. I drove back after work, and dropped off the rental at the same time. The quality of the repair was impeccable, visually and physically as I brushed my hand along where the debt was. It was as the damage never happened. Had a really good experience with C&L recently. I originally had an insurance repair completed in 2015. Unfortunately, over time, the paint blistered a bit where the car was damaged originally. C&L and Geico offer a lifetime warranty. I was not expecting it would be honored, but I brought the car in to ask about it and they offered to take care of it no hassle and no cost. The repair was completed in just two days, and it looks great! They were even kind enough to touch-up a few other unrelated small chips and scratches I had. In a perfect world, there wouldn't have been anything wrong with the original repair. But, not everything is always perfect. What matters is that they stood behind the quality of their work and made things right. It was refreshing to have someone do that. I will happily refer anyone here first and plan to bring my car back in to have some other work done. read more

RUN far away from this place...poor quality of work! C&L does not possess the technical ability to properly diagnose, repair, and paint cars...maybe they should stick to towing....truly a disappointing experience. I recently dropped off my car for mostly paint repair due to minor chips received from being behind a dump truck. The job included replacing the windshield, repair and painting of the hood, front bumper and kick panel. I only went here because geico suggested it as a geico express shop...I should have gone with my gut feeling when enterprise mentioned C&L are known to get the job done quickly. Quickly does not mean quality. Issues: My car was returned after a week, within 20 minutes of driving from the shop my dashboard lit up like xmas! my adaptive headlights failed and my blinker also stopped working. Later, the casing around the rear view mirror fell on me while I was driving - it was never placed on correctly. When I reached my destination I took a better look at my car - the headlights were improperly installed; they were loose from the bumper, gaps btwn the bumper and headlights; there was over spray and cracking around the bumper reflectors; missing paint from the edge of the hood; electrical wires were loose under the hood; and my windshield wiper fluid was leaking. I returned the car to C&L the next week to explain the issues..I was directed to Joe, I believe he's the manager there. He is completely unprofessional, useless and lacks social skills. He was very condescending and nasty. He stated "I don't care what anyone else has told you, I've been doing this for 30 years, and that's what it's supposed to look like!" in reference to the cracking and over spray and continued to deny there were any issues and everything "was not a problem." oh also the rear view mirror casing was not C&L's fault. He blamed the windshield guy. FYI Joe, C&L was the prime repair shop that needs to inspect the outsourced work. C&L does the final inspection and releases the car to the customer not the windshield guy !!! It gets better, he claimed geico doesn't pay for the removal of the bumper reflectors so they tape them. When I spoke to geico THAT WAS NOT THE CASE! they do pay for them! Also, when i mentioned the windshield fluid he was nasty about it, like how would I know it was leaking..umm maybe bc the fluid under my car was blue?!??! Anyways, long story short I had to call geico several times to ensure the work was re-done properly. My car had to be returned to BMW several times, and they also had to have an "electrical short specialist" look at it to discover the the POOR ability of C&L. **** C&L improperly plugged the windshield wiper pump with the plug for the headlights?!?!?********** It gets better they returned it to me after they figured it out without checking everything..turns out when they corrected the plugs they blew out/shorted half of my lights!!!! Again, BMW dealership had to fix it - geico paid =) AND last but least...after i got the car back I noticed tape holding the rear view mirror casing together! turns out JOE told geico he told me they were ordering it and going to replace it within a week. LIAR!! Joe never called me. In fact, when I went to pick up my car he avoided me like the plague. jerk! bottom line - C&L cuts corners and doesn't posses the skill to work on cars! I wish i could give them ZERO stars!! but I guess I will settle for the 1 star only for the 2 employees that were helpful there. BAD business practices!! C&L, if you make a mistake, own up to it and fix it, don't try to deny it! or pass the buck onto someone else! ______________________ update - a year later I again had issues with my electrical system/headlight AND my windshield wiper fluid tank....after so many phone calls to geico I dropped it off at the BMW dealership to have them fix all of the issues caused by C&L. The best part is while my car was at the dealership a rep from C&L tried to release my car from the dealership WITHOUT my permission to do the repairs. Luckily, my service adviser knew the situation and contacted me as well refused to release my car. this whole thing is just ridiculous!! this place should not be in business - so unfortunate! read more

The owner and and his son are only interested in their towing contracts. According to the owner of one of their competitors and doesn't care about quality repairs. I have the parts manifest and they not only ripped me off they're scamming Geico there's so many parts that are on the manifest that weren't needed or installed and they charged for parts that we're never used and the labor for installation. In my report it details the work that was never done but charged for. They put a used radiator in my vehicle and it failed they put the wrong antifreeze in. All of the parts used on the job were salvage parts that are just going to fail. They replaced A/C parts that were defective and were really cheap with the Freon the car has no air conditioning. They have poor customer skills. The son is one of the biggest liars I've ever met and I'm a retired government official, so I've seen my share of poor liars. Everything that comes out of their mouth is nothing by hypocrisy and complete BS or hyperbole. Excuses one after the other. It's time to get in touch with the Attorney General and 7 on your side and put them on the news.They also ripped me off on my rental car. I told the son about it and his response it's only a hundred lousy dollars you're going to complain about it. I responded to him yeah and you would too. Nothing but thieves and liars. I've had a few other shops look at the vehicle and I told them who did the work and they said that explains the poor quality of work and that's Charlie and his kid for ya and none of those shops would even touch the vehicle. I was told to trade the vehicle in because it's going to keep failing. They wouldn't even talk to the car rental company. I have all of the documents from numerous sources showing the way they treated me and will turn them over to the Attorney General. read more

They do their inspection and along the entire process, I'm notified and updated. When I return to pick up my car, it is superb. I was in an accident and had my car towed there. Geico recommended them and I couldn't have been happier. The work was completed quickly and professionally. The customer service was exceptional. They regularly notified me as my car moved through the repair process. I really can't say enough about them. My car was hit while parked on the street recently. Luckily, the woman driving left her information and repairs were done through her insurance (Geico). I was sent to C&L in Kenvil and the service was speedy and convenient. They gave me a rental while I waited three days and kept me up-to-date on the estimates and repairs. The estimate was quite lower than estimates I received from other shops but the work listed was the same. I was notified when repairs were 50% done and as soon as my car was ready for pickup. I have gotten a few things done here. I was always pleased with the work they did until now. I realized some of the work they did on my rear bumper was starting to crack - the paint looked like it has spider webs in it! When I went there to have them uphold their warranty I was told that it was not their work and the cracking was caused by someone hitting my car. I was to believe this as Dan Anastasia (the GM) has 30 years of experience but no proof of a collision. There is not even a scuff on the paint from a collision. I was told I wouldn't see such marks as it's a plastic bumper. I find this absurd and ridiculous as it is just their way of getting out of a warranty. I was told that if I can find 3 shops that say it's not from a collision but from the work he will redo it. You can bet that's my new mission so he can eat his words. read more

They have great hours and are open on Saturdays. 2. They email & called me with every bit of info regarding their work on my car. And 3. They cleaned and waxed my car! Very nice group of people, very professional, very fast. My Honda CR-V was side swiped while parked and had to have the door and wheel well fixed. The job was amazing. Car looks brand new, was done in the time promised and they even went above and beyond to vacuum and wash my car. NEVER GO HERE! This business in absolutely horrible. If your car ends up here or gets towed here please get it out as fast as possible. My car happened to be towed here after an accident due to front end damage. However, I sent my car to my trusted body shop the next day. After having my car for barely even 24 hours, my car was found to have damage on the right quarter panel and bumper due to C&L or their tow company. I then tried to fix this situation with them, however, they deny causing the issue and will not help in anyway. Now I am out $1,500 because of them and I understand how they have gained the reputation of cheaters and liars (C&L). They do not even deserve a 1 star rating. read more

Upon the recommendation (and promise of a guarantee) from my insurance company, I brought my car to C&L to repair extensive cosmetic and mechanical damage after it was hit in an accident. The body work looks pretty good but they overlooked some significant mechanical details. Eventually, the problems mostly got corrected but it took many visits and phone calls. If I had to do it over, I would definitely take my car elsewhere. read more

I brought in a 2012 Chevy Cruze for body work after hitting a deer. The damage included a driver's side mirror, as well as the doors on the driver's side. The work they did was great and quick. The communication between the shop and myself was frequent, from arranging the towing from my residence to the day it was complete. Kudos to Sandy for the updates! PS. my truck was hit by a Gieco policy holder, her fault totally and she received a ticket for it, she t boned my pickup in the driver side rear door and cab folded ,got the accident report in 1 week, called Gieco to get the car fixed,numerous calls back to Gieco because they didnt get back to me for 3 weeks, totally unprofessional,anyway was told to bring it to C&L autobody, Kenvil, well instead of totalling the truck, which the adjuster should have done, they didn,t. C&L went ahead with the repair without my consent, 10 days later i get a call to pick up my vehicle, the repair is totally unprofessional and the whole back of the cab is wavey and wracked, and full of BONDO, i refused the vehicle and was threatened by both the adjuster who said i would have to pay for the loaner car, then was threatened by C&L with storage fees. REAL CRAP job. anyway went right to the police station to file a harassment and incident report out. anyway truck is still there, probably going to file a complaint with the NJ consumer affairs division and the BBB. already have a lawyer, and most likely heading to court. completely unprofessional from the get go, and smell s a little fishey to me. read more

We took our car there for a warranty repair. The roof was leaking after being repaired in East Hanover C&L. This was supposed to be quick repair, and we left the car there all day, and at the end of the day when we did not receive an update, I called them. They proceeded to tell me it will not be ready till the next day...which obviously is complication in light of us having only one car. The next day, we were not able to figure out how my husband would get back from work, because I was not available. I called C&L and explained that they caused this situation, since they did not give us any notice to prepare and get a rental car, which would have been covered under the insurance, and I asked them to help us out. At the end they managed to transport the car to East Hanover, close to my husband's workplace, so that way he could pick it up without anyone's help. Although this would not have been needed, were the repair done on time, C&L staff was great and helpful in solving this puzzle. I think they deserve respect for that. Thank you! read more
