I had some old scrap wood and pallets to get rid of along with an old twin metal bed frame that was bent. I have used these guys in the past for broken TVs and they have always provided a delightful customer experience. You have the options of leaving stuff out on the curb but I couldn't do that because of my HOA. Also, last time I had left a desk that someone snatched up from the curb. So I didn't want to waste their time again. Their technology use is pretty awesome and respectfully as a IT guy I appreciate how it makes billing simple and easy. You cannot go wrong with this company hauling your junk for you. It saves you time and effort than doing it yourself and paying for the fees at the landfill. Well, more than two years have passed since I made the decision to use C & L Movers to empty and move in two full containers of furniture and furnishings to my house in the Slaughter Lane neighborhood. Two years ?!?. Well, C & L arrived right on time. Me, I'm writing this review two years later. Doesn't make much sense does it? Everything about my interaction with C & L was better than I expected. From the office staff's accommodating my needs, time schedule, staffing and pricing....none of that could have gone more smoothly. The crew, as well as the management of C & L, were professional, friendly, timely, extremely careful in handling my goods. This was not an amateur crew ....definitely not their first rodeo. They were practiced in their art of moving home furnishings and created very little anxiety on my part. With one container in my driveway to be emptied and another arriving shortly, they correctly estimated the time and number of crew needed to complete the job and met the deadlines required to empty one container in time for the second unit to arrive. Frankly, at 76 I hope that I will not have to move again. But on the other hand, these guys are top-notch, and I enjoyed watching their effort to please me, their client. I had a wonderful experience with C&L Movers. They were very personable, punctual, and went above and beyond to make my moving experience so much easier. On the day of my move, they were doing a move to San Antonio and were to be at my home in early evening. Unfortunately, that move was taking longer than expected (rain, etc). Sharon and Chris both kept me updated via text as to the status of my move. I found out later that the SA move was an 87 yr old lady, and that Chris and his team were taking extra special care of her by moving her furniture around several times until she was satisfied with it's location. That says a lot to me. Who can be upset with anyone that takes extra time to help an elderly lady??? Once they arrived, they were friendly, careful with items, and fast. Chris was nice enough to volunteer to park my U-Haul/car tow dolly so that all I'd have to do the next morning is just pull straight out and go. I highly recommend C&L Movers for your next move. They do local and out of state moves, will just load/unload for you, and even haul junk away. Their pricing is also very reasonable. read more

I have moved every single year for the past 5 years, and I have never been so happy with a moving company. They made what should have been a stressful move enjoyable. The guys were the sweetest and moved everything in one piece (I have always had something or multiple things broken!!), and Sharon (the owner) checks on you before, during, and after the move. Not only did they take care of my move, but anything that my previous movers had broken, they took the time to fix. These guys did EVERYTHING and did it with a smile. This was the best moving experience ever. Top notch customer service! From the moment Sharon answered the phone I knew this wasn't your basic moving company. She took the time to hear out my frustrations of being a single mom in the summer time with my kids not being in school. With that in mind she assured me that they would work around my schedule. What a blessing! When the movers arrived I got to meet the Supervisor who stayed on site the entire time. They were so professional and reassuring that my items were as valuable to them as they are to me. To top everything off I received a followup phone call the next day. I needed a mover on about a week's notice, was referred to Sharon who was great. This was at the end of July so they were already pretty booked, but Sharon was more than willing to find a way to squeeze me in, since it's not uncommon for moving crews finish jobs in less time than they allot. Any communication/scheduling I had to do was calling/texting/emailing Sharon who is helpful and responsive, so that made my life easy. The guys who moved my stuff were professional, friendly, and timely. I had a decent amount of furniture for them and we got the entire job done in 1 hour (my new place was only ten minutes away). I was looking for someone to help me load some furniture and odds and ends onto a trailer I rented. Someone suggested C&L movers, so I called them and told them what I needed done and I needed someone to help me. The lady told me they would need to send two men because of insurance issues. I ask for a price, I couldn't believe it was just a little more than what I expected to pay for one helper. On the day of the move they call early and ask if they could come over I agree and they arrived a half hour before the original start time. C&L Movers went above and beyond to help with our move. The night before the move the POD couldn't be delivered to our new home because of trees and we had to deliver the POD to a friend's house. I called Sharon at C&L movers late that night thinking that we would need to rent a truck for the next day and then reschedule for more time. Not only did Sharon allow us more time, they provided the moving truck!!! They were there earlier than scheduled and were very professional and efficient. I had a wonderful experience with C&L movers. I moved a year ago with a different company and it was totally different. It was way more expensive to move less stuff a shorter distance. They scammed me at the last minute. Your guys were badass, professional and got it done. It's such a relief to have this past me in a timely manner at a fair cost. Family owned and run. They brought others over to get it done quicker. At one point there was 6 guys! I paid roughly 60% of what the others guys charged me a year ago and it was done quicker and with greater care. They were able to schedule me in on short notice that same week, and offered a competitive rate. I have used c&l twice both times great service. First one I was moving from south austin to north austin (can you imagine the commute time with traffic) they still managed to keep it in allotted time and nothing was broken! Second time Sharon was able to get me scheduled at a last minute notice (4 days before I moved) they were prompt in allotted time, nothing damaged or broken. You moved my mom a day ago and I was blown away. Best experience I've ever had with movers. The guys moved my elderly mom and uncle. They were so fast and careful, but the most amazing part was how kind, thoughtful and respectful they were. I scheduled C&L movers in June 2017 for an apartment to apartment move. Three men showed up ready to work! Devin, Craig and Jeff (the crew leader) were the best guys I could ask for! They were gentle with all of my things. It was a hot day and they never once complained about the heat or moving my things. C&L Movers have been so accommodating with my move! I am also working with PODS who give a 3 hour timeframe for drop off and pick up and Sharon and her crew have worked around the pods schedule to get everything unloaded. The guys are great too and very gentle with my furniture. If you are looking for a moving company who is attentive, timely and accommodating then this company will be perfect for you! Our furniture and belongings were treated with care and the team made sure we were happy with where everything was placed in the new house. I got a text from him the evening before to change pick up time to 8am. I said 9am would be better. One of his employees called next morning at 9:30am stating they were trying to get a driver. I waited two hours called back and never got an answer. I was also texting Jackson and no response from him either. So I cancelled after two hours of no response. I will never contact this company again.

So where to start…read more The pictures here speak for themselves. So they only loaded the truck, I drove it across country and on the other side the unloaders could not believe how poorly it was loaded. Something as simple as stacking carboard boxes on top of heavy duty bins was missed. (see photos) They put my $60 target stools upside down so the legs were facing upwards and then put my chairs upholstery side down on those legs... they did this for BOTH of my living room chairs... (see photo) They HAD TRIED to put a mini fridge full on the inside on top of a crate and barrel wooden console with tiny thin legs. I made them NOT do that - much to their chagrin - while they walked all over it inside the truck. They ruined approximately $2000 worth of furniture. All in all - I lost more in damages than the loading even cost, got no help afterwards and I am lucky that I escaped with the damage I had - it could have easily been 2x-3x the amount had I let them stack the fridge on top of the other stuff. Probably assumed I went away, but - heres your yelp review.

Do not recommend -10 hours to move a 2 bedroom apartment(I…read morehad already packed and disassembled all furniture) -Arrived late -would take extended breaks, my ring camera caught them just sitting and talking on my couch -took 1.5 hrs for a 15 min drive, they blamed it on traffic( there was none) -the supervisor was yelling on the phone demanding I pay 1400 or my items would not get unloaded from the truck - they were moving so slow two neighbors decided to help them as it was already late at night I've moved many times, never had I witnessed such unprofessional behavior, for my move in, it was a similar move and it took 3 hours not 10.

In the hour and a half I spent leaving messages and requesting quotes no one returned my call. I finally found House N Box and noticed it was in nearby Hutto. I was greeted by Kevin, who was very friendly and professional. I was so excited to hear a person on the end of the line. He was able to get me booked for the following week. Because I was getting a pod and did not have the delivery time, Kevin scheduled me for between 1-5pm. I got a call a about 1230 and two guys arrived at 230. The guys were great! They carefully wrapped everything up and secured most of my items into the pod. They were there for three hour at $140 an hour. These two young kids even moved a really heavy outdoor fireplace and heavy appliances. Since I moved out of town, I hope I never have to call them up for help again. But I would absolutely recommend them t my friends and family.

Buyer beware! Our preferred movers double-booked our moving…read moreday, so we tried Melrose. They were not the cheapest, so I thought I was paying for quality. They damaged some small items and never followed up after I told them about the items. They said they would send it to a manager, and I never heard back. I even sent a follow up reminder. We haven't unwrapped everything and I'm really worried when we do. Isn't this why they have insurance? I mean, it was less than a couple hundred dollars worth of "valuable to us" items. We paid them thousands, and I tipped their workers more than the damage would have been. I hate leaving bad reviews, but I've given them almost 2 months to reply. I will say, the movers were some of the most polite I've ever met!
