Authentic food in an uncomfortable atmosphere. The food was good, hot, authentic. The service was uncomfortable. I don't know how else to explain it. Nobody spoke English and I had to point to the menu to even show what I wanted. I was trying to explain that I needed more time to look at the menu, and the waitress stared at me uncomfortably. I couldn't ask questions and I felt like I was in another country. While authentic is good, I feel like basic communication (like, a few words?) is a necessary part of running a business in Central Massachusetts. read more

Went on a Saturday day and it was not too packed. However, they only have 1 server and it seems like a small staff in the back. We waited for a while to get our food. Wonderful phở and Vietnamese iced coffee. I went there on a Wednesday morning at 8:30 a.m., when no other phở restaurants were open in the city. I'm so glad I did -- it was my first time here. A bright, cheerful, welcoming, clean, and safe/pandemic place. Nice and attentive waitstaff. Set up an individual portable air conditioner for me without my asking. A warm atmosphere. It's my first time trying and I'm in love!! My friend got a Pho dac biet and I got a bowl of Bun bo Hue. Both were so good and flavorful. The broth for my Bun bo was the right level of spicy. The bowls are big so they gave a pretty generous amount of food. Definitely will come again and try out other items on the menu. read more

Ok- first off. This place is the BOMB!!!!! I usually hit up this spot on Green street but they're closed today. I had a friend tell me about this pho spot. She's Vietnamese and she says this is the most authentic Pho the city has to offer. Second; a little about the inside. It's cute and little and quiet. Little chilly, but that's ok. The menu is on a board at the counter; a little different but also ok. I think this is my new favorite spot. 30 million thumbs up to C&N. I got the special bowl. Broth is the bomb. BEST PHO IN WORCESTER IS HERE! HANDS DOWN! Trust me. I'm Vietnamese. I know my pho. Their broth is delicious and consistent from time to time. Their bo kho is very flavorful too. I don't actually like the BBH here but I'm Hue so I'm very picky when it comes to BBH. The waitresses are all very friendly and attentive. The woman at the register (who I think is the owner) is very sweet and always wishes me good health and a good day when I leave. The bonus is this place opens EARLY!!! So you can get hangover pho as early as you want.. and don't have to wait until 10-11am when the other pho restaurants open haha read more

The food was good, but this place is a scam. We ordered from the menu, which stated that the pho was $10.50 and banh mi was $4 (+1 for egg). When we went to pay, every item we ordered was charged for $1 more. We pointed out that the menu stated the items were a different price and the lady, as well as this other man said that they updated the prices on this other bulletin board they had stashed away at the counter. This was clearly not visible to customers and they insisted that we pay this higher price. The man looked like he was about to fight us. Terrible customer service. Safe to say, worst Vietnamese restaurant I've ever been to - never coming back here again. read more

I have to be honest with you. I had my suspicions about the new place in the middle of Kelly Square. I expected very little, given the history of the space. I AM SO HAPPY TO HAVE BEEN WRONG!!! I went and had lunch with my mom today to get some really fantastic pho. It's small, but clean. The service was friendly, even though they can't speak English very well. The pho? Awesome. Lunch for 2 was a whopping $20 and change. I'm thrilled to see this little place in my neck of the woods and the price can't be beat. I'll be back. Two thumbs up. I wish I had taken photos, but I was so enthusiastic about my pho that I dove in without hesitation. Next time... If you've ever been in Kelley Square, you know that the roads intersect and it can be a little chaotic. However, you enter from one of the side streets, and there is plenty of available parking. Great job, guys! Update: I have since gone back with my husband and took pics. Same 5 star sentiments with jasmine water offered before our meal as a lovely bonus!! So good!! read more

2 banh mi sandwiches, two small bowls of pho, and one medium bowl of pho were $36! An affordable and pretty good lunch! The service was poor, I'm not sure if it's because it's set up to be a takeout place with some tables so they're more hands off or if that is just how it is. They took our order at the table and you pay at the counter when you're ready. There're no menus besides the one written on a board by the counter. They didn't put on gloves when they tossed the bread for my banh mi in the oven. I wasn't able to finish my bowl of pho so I asked if I was able to take it together, asking them to separate the broth and the noodles in two separate containers. It was a big ordeal at first but eventually it was resolved. I don't mind not being tended to at restaurants but the end of my visit left a sour taste in my mouth. I'd probably be back for the food though. read more

Very consistent food and great service as well. The BBH is very solid as well and has a nice kick that I always enjoy. Located in Kelly square, it's great that it has its own private parking. Magnificently repulsive!!! I am a huge fan of Vietnamese cuisine. This establishment is one of the worst restaurants I've ever tried! Bread on Ban Minh sandwich was rock hard and stale. Meat on sandwich tasted and smelled like it came out of a rotted dumpster. Unappetizing vegan spring rolls served piping hot with a truly awful sauce. Restaurant itself is even hotter (no AC) than the spring rolls with ineffective fans and dirty plates not picked up from vacated tables. Ordered pickup, but waited an additional 20 minutes upon arrival despite only 1 other customer. Hard to believe this restaurant is still open. Threw food out and ate at shawarma restaurant across street which was excellent. read more

I've been coming here almost every Saturday for the past year or so. The staff know exactly who I am and what I want. I have to been to Vietnam and eaten at food stalls on the street and I can say this is the most authentic Pho you can get in America that I have tried. The soup is always piping hot and the beef balls are homemade and have a delicious crunch to them! It's not the prettiest place but it has a charm to it that I can't describe. read more

Ate here during the first month of grand opening and was notttt impressed with the Pho broth at all.. Many months has passed since then and my fiancé figured we'd give it another shot (maybe changes have been made now that they've settled in?) and to our surprise... the pho dac biet broth was tasty!! Yay. I have tried every pho restaurant, and I can honestly say their pho is really delicious. Maybe even the best in the city. Their bun bo hue is realllllyyyy good too (definitely the best around here!). Atmosphere here is okay, nothing fancy.. small..quiet, and a bit chilly. Menu board is on the counter so don't expect menus. Owner is really sweet, polite, and attentive. We try to sit and eat here when we can, but usually it's to-go and it's still yummy. Highly recommend! FYI they open at 6AM! And it's near kelly square.. no worries there's a decent sized parking lot and street parking too. read more

I have been there with a friend we got the Pho and an appetizer the Pho was very bland I had much much better and the appetizer was too salty. The girls working there? The decor is very basic, but don't let that deceive you. one of my top best bun bo hue (pork w pig foot in noodle soup) I have had at any Vietnamese restaurant, and I've lived in nyc and in hartford,ct.
