These guys are working on my neighbors yard. Last week they ran a ditch witch through the cable/internet line...the one that's clearly marked with spray paint/flags. They said nothing to the homeowners, nothing to the cable company, and nothing to me when (after an hour of no cable) I went outside and asked one of them if they had cut a line, because we had lost service. He ignored me. They said nothing to anyone on the entire block...all lost service for the entire day. Finally, a Comcast tech was dispatched.. I talked to him when he showed up. So did several other neighbors. He said that he had been in the neighborhood all day, and that if anyone would have called in and reported a damaged line he could've fixed it easily! He got it repaired in less than 30 min. But that's what pisses me off the most...if they would've just said something it would've been fixed. I learned today that they were fined $3000 for cutting the line/not reporting it. This made me feel a little bit better. I had a prior experience with them about 2 years ago as well. They were doing a concrete job a few houses down and one day I couldn't figure out what in heck all of the obnoxious hammering was. It went on for over an hour before I went down the road to ask how long they'd be doing this. To my surprise I found 3 morons standing around a wheelbarrow, BS'ing while waiting for the cement truck. One of them had a length of rebar, and was just pounding on this thing, over and over and over for A F**KING HOUR, trying to remove some dried cement maybe? I don't know, but it was ridiculous that these idiots would cause such a disturbance without even considering that people live 50 feet in any direction! If you want to piss off your neighbors, hire these guys! read more

C&T did such an amazing job. Well beyond my expectations. They redid my front yard with beautiful pavers and gorgeous plants and boulders. The trees they picked out were exactly what I wanted. Additionally they installed artificial turf for my dogs. Best investment ever. Hung lights. Added two hedges. Fixed my fence. I can not compliment them enough. Also beat prices by far. These guys didn't do work for us, so I can't comment on the quality of their landscaping. This is mostly a review of the unprofessional and disappointing interactions we had with our point of contact and the person we were hoping to work with. They said they could help with our project, they were looking into permits and would get back to us. I contacted them by text message after that, three times, each about a month or two apart, asking about the status of the permits. Each time they responded to me by asking if I was the house on such and such street. I replied yes each time and then they didn't reply after that for any of the messages. I don't mind if they couldn't do the work for us and just told me. But ghosting multiple times is really unprofessional. There is no question now that they couldn't do the work because I'm writing this at least a year after my last text message. They seemed really nice at first, but I caution anyone who is thinking about hiring C&T. read more

Took a few days for them to come out and give a quote. We discussed what was to be done and future lawn projects but did not get a timeframe. A month goes by without any communication. I emailed and was very upset. Long story short: they were too busy and shorthanded for my business. read more

Horrible. Over priced. Shady. Hired to installed new lawn and irrigation. Lawn died in just 3 days. Brown! They reinstalled sod and adjusted the irrigation. Ser time for twice a day at 45 min each. That's 1.5 hr of watering. Way to much according to any irrigation instructions u read even for a new sod yard. Won't return my calls or text. Owner Chuck is a great talker but be warned. Look around. I paid nearly 6k for a shitty job. Oh yeah, the sprinklers soak my house and windows bc they have 360 deg heads on the perimeter when it should've been 180 deg. Wish I had time to do it myself. Also charges for 15 yards of topsoil but didnt use 5 yards. read more

I used C&T for a number of years, but recently fired them. Here's why: I have made abundantly clear to the owner that I want no toxic chemicals used on my property, either amendments or controls. This spring they aerated, fertilized and overseeded. I happened to be there and saw one of the crew with a sprayer. I asked what he was doing and they said they were going to take care of the dandelions that had spread from the adjacent city park (Shame on Portland for weeding up the neighborhood properties with their non-existent mowing). I told the crew not to do it and that I had informed Charles the owner that I do not allow any toxics on the land. They left. I called C & T and when he called back some time later, made an excuse. I reiterated. Then, a week or so later, one area of the parking strip that had a low growing weed of some kind, got suspiciously yellow. I called Charles to ask if they had, in fact, sprayed that area. He said they had not. The area continued to die. The next time I saw the workers I asked to speak to the crew boss and pointed out the area. He said they had sprayed there and that they had not been told to avoid herbicides. I had the crew remove the soil in the area and had to purchase organic soil to fill the area myself as when I called C & T, they never called back. So, basically the owner did not tell the crew and then lied to me. I fired C & T and do not recommend them. read more

I found C&T on craigslist, checked out their website and decided this was the quality of work I wanted for my backyard. They didn't disappoint! Charles gave me an accurate bid at our consultation and worked with my budget, as well. The finished product is beautiful, I now have raised rock beds that are the focal point of my backyard, as well some great boulders out front, placed just where I wanted them. The work crew was courteous, and did a great job with clean-up. I am already planning my next project for C&T and wouldn't call anyone else! read more

We came across these folks on a web search. What luck! Of the 3 groups we contacted, they were the most responsive, and gave us exactly what we wanted. They were done before the 2nd landscaper could even start the project. We had C&T install irrigation all the way around the house, new lawn over the irrigation in the front, and a stone terraced patio and walkway in the back.. We didn't want sod with plastic netting to do the front lawn, and Charles went the extra mile to find one that had biodegradable netting. Every time we had a question, or wanted to shift something around, they got right on it. Their prices were great, too. Looks terrific! read more

Very happy with the finished work. The quote we received was very reasonable. It took a while to get on the schedule as they were very busy. They built a retaining wall and removed a hedge in two and a half days. The workers were very professional and efficient. I am sure we will use them again if the need arises. read more

Charles and his crew came out today after a few changes to the plan/proposal and they managed to squeak their equipment through my side path and into the backyard. They got to work and stayed over to get it done. They made two gravel pads for sheds leveled out the space 30'x75' and then planted 7 trees. They did a great job took my mess of stump grindings and several yards of river rock from the previous owner and turned my yard into our private little forest. I am very please with the work that was done, the only negative was getting to an agreed start date and time. In the end he changed his schedule to accommodate our job two thumbs up. read more

I've used C&T Landscape for 2 different yard/landscape projects and they have been awesome. The first project was 5 years ago where they replaced a wood retaining wall that was failing with a beautiful block retaining wall, even adding stairs into the hill. I then had a small project done by another landscaper who ruined my yard so back to C&T June 2018. They fixed everything that was done incorrectly. Since they were fixing the yard we went all out with another retaining wall in the front, new sod in front and back, irrigation front and back and a 50' fence . It turned out perfectly and everyone loves our new yard. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to friends and family and will use them again if needed. While they were working on my project, my neighbor who had been working on a parking pad himself, ended up hiring C&T to finish his parking pad project with a small retaining wall and was also very happy. read more
