This company had our business insurance coverage for nearly 20 years. We pulled our personal lines several years ago due to pricing. I should have taken a harder look at the business coverage then. Then Covid hit, and my business was shutdown. No work. No income. Made about half the annual payments. CDF made no visits to my office for over 10 years. They didn't intervene to find savings due to reduced risk with my business being forced to close. Found coverage for 20% off the cost from a small broker in Wenatchee. Go out of Seattle for coverage. Now Liberty Mutual has cheesy law firms calling for payment. Don't do business with L.M. or CDF. CALL small town agencies with good reviews. read more

I hate to even give them one star. I had car insurance with them, and they now tell me (on 1/29) that my policy lapsed on Jan 4, but I got no notification. This was not due to any fault of mine. It seems the company I was with stopped writing policies for Washington state, but I was NOT NOTIFIED. They said they sent "a postcard," which I did not receive, and i was not contacted by phone or email. I could have been in a major car accident with NO INSURANCE. I am absolutely furious. Obviously, I did not re-up with them and had to pay a lot more to get insurance elsewhere because I had a "policy lapse." This is an incredibly dangerous situation for anyone to fall into because of a crummy company. STAY AWAY. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE. If I could give 0 stars I would, and there is one single person that has been so terrible that previous good service from this insurance provider has become a nightmare. I've never been harassed in my life to the extent that Julie Schroeder, one of their Insurance Executives, has harassed me. Julie Schroeder emailed and called nearly 30 times over the course of 2 weeks demanding payment for a premium that I already paid. Stalkers don't even both you that much. And the tone was incredibly hostile with every conversation. She would not get off the phone without a deadline or next step that I had to promise to investigate and prove to her the fact (that I clearly knew) that I had already paid this premium. At one point, I called another agent to discuss a separate matter, and Julie jumped on the line to interrupt the conversation and attempt to collect payment. She even went so far as to contact my employees at their workplace to demand that I contact her back regarding the issue, an incredible and costly waste of my company's time. It turned out that it was THEIR MISTAKE! I HAD in fact made that payment weeks prior. No apology at all from them. What a terrible experience. I cannot warn people enough. And Schroeder needs to be fired if the agency wishes to have me as a client again. read more

She explained and sent me statements about options and helped me surmount numerous hurdles. I have never met someone so competent, so kind and so knowledgeable. I can't recommend this agency highly enough. They were recommended to me years ago by a Safeco rep when I bought a policy online and needed some fine-tuning. I ended up switching all of our policies (auto, home, umbrella) over to them and I've gotten great service. Whenever we've had a life change (new car/solar panels/bought a rental) our agent has thoughtfully reviewed our package to make sure we're getting the best coverage, but not unnecessary coverage. Not impressed at all with this agency and the way they treat contractors. Their premiums are high and they only get higher once you sign. I took out a policy with them they couldn't get anything done and when I was forced to go with someone else they withheld 25% of the policy. I paid for four days of coverage what now pay for a year with someone else. There are much better options out there and I suggest you keep looking. read more
