We are meeting friends for coffee this week who are visiting Bend from CA and staying in SW Bend and I started to suggest Lovejoy's as grocery destination for them in that part of town given Yelp shows it still open. (We used to live in Bend and although out 'go to' was the always splendid Newport Avenue Market in NW Bend, we popped into Lovejoy's a time or two.) Very nice little upscale grocery store in a part of Bend that I didn't even know existed. Had to make a trip out to a far south part of Bend to go to a compounding pharmacy for my wife. Found it in a small shopping center and also found this grocery store across from it. Good selection of craft beer, fresh vegetables, bulk nuts and a large deli. They also have a music evening on the patio. read more

My wife and I have been visiting Bend for the last 2 weeks and had the misfortune of trying to get our "need to pick-up" items from this store on several occasions. Kept trying to shop there but left every time disappointed or empty handed. Their prices are higher than most, selection limited and don't back their products, even if they grew mold 2 weeks before their sell by date. Purchased a container of fresh salsa, (O-Hana brand) refrigerated it as soon as I got home, less than 10 minutes after purchase, opened it for less than 15 minutes at a meal the next day, and today, 5 days later found it covered with mold. Took it back to the store and told the manager. She was not willing to stand by her product. After I objected, she offered a refund, but too late. Won't go back again. I'll be sure to tell our bnb hosts to stop recommending this store. They are bad news. read more

I am new to Bend and am very happy to have a local market nearby my home! This market is great for getting the basics and has a good selection of dry goods. The growler filler station is fantastic and they have a red box inside for that Friday night movie. I do wish there was more healthy options in the readymade case by the deli but they do make delicious deli sandwiches. I'm happy to be a local with this local market nearby! read more

Great customer service! Love this market! I called yesterday to find out if they had some very unusual items for a new recipe. The gal who answered the phone was super nice and helpful. She not only looked everything up but offered to place a special order to get all of the unusual ingredients I needed that weren't in stock. She said it would take about a week. Super impressed! I can honestly say the people who work here are well trained in customer service and stand head and shoulders above the competition. The prices are very comparable to the big brand stores but quite frankly....I'm willing to pay a few bucks more to get great service and better quality products to choose from. Supporting my neighborhood and local businesses is also a plus. They often have coupons for $10 off if you spend $50 which is great too. They prepare freshly squeezed orange juice and I swear it's the best tasting fresh squeezed orange juice I've ever tasted. I bought some at the Newport market which didn't even come close. read more

My second time there in a week. I think we can agree it's relaxing to meander through the isles at this market. It's not crowded, the selections are good, there's a good variety of items, with a great wine and beer section. I love this store! I think I'll be coming here more often despite the fact that Safeway is near my house, I would so rather drive a little further and enjoy my shopping experience in a nice relaxing environment. That neighborhood is so lucky to have a such a great market. I think they will do great there. Next I need to try their bakery and deli section. the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is it's so far away from my house. They should have moved around the corner from me! read more

Great little market on this side of town. We needed a few things and they had it all within a few minutes of our rental house.

A little pricey but my go to store when I am working. Love their staff, always super friendly, at least the cashiers are! Their deli food is delicious and bakery cookies are the best. read more

How fun is this store! It was like a mini Farmers Market today called "Snow Day". To make it even better we actually got snow today! I found everyone to be super friendly, helpful and they love and really support local. I can't wait for their spring and summer events!! I found some Great fish prices here! Love that. We love Lovejoy's! It is a small neighborhood IGA store but has just about everything you'll need (only exception are some specialty items). We go weekly for donuts/muffins and chocolate milk after our run/bike ride as well as for our weekly needs. Their service is far superior to any other grocery store in the area. read more

Went there yesterday. They had a tent set up outside with only local products. Mainly produce. Was very nice. Had a panini from inside which was very good and well priced at $4.99. Agree with everything the previous reviewer said. read more

Great location for a quick run when you forget something. They have a great selection of craft beer and some pre made food.

Disappointed today to pay $6.71 for a pound of macaroni salad from the deli thinking it was made fresh and got home to find out it was probably reser's that as put in to a large bowl in the deli. read more

It's an oversight that I haven't reviewed this place before. It's on the south end of Brookswood and serves DRW and the Brookswood area. It's everything that a small neighborhood grocery store should be and a bit more. Great selection of produce and what I consider to be the best grocery store meats in town. Try any of the Painted Hills meats - YUM. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Wish the prices were a bit lower though. read more

Customer service is outstanding! Friendly, neighborhood market with great selection and prices.

When we moved into the River Rim subdivision over six years ago we couldn't wait for the market to get here for the convenience. But what we've found is a little market with a lot of heart for the community it resides in. Our kids love going over to see the activities, or the craft fairs, and the other events. And we all love the amazing quality of beef the butcher has, especially the Painted Hills local beef. read more

The manager is extremely rude! AND, I don't mean to the customers, but to his employees. You would think he would pay attention to his attitude towards them when around customers. As a customer, to overhear (on more than one occasion) the manager being very petty and demeaning, it's very disconcerting and definitely leaves a bad taste for the store.
