Very bad experience. When I picked up my trailer I found the back spare tire had been mutilated as if the trailer was used as a battering ram. Inspection cover missing from the front jack and the level gauge was broken. Took them 2 weeks to replace the tire and I has to call them. read more

I had to take another day and bring it back to them and supervise the job myself. And then it took them over an hour to do the job that should have taken 5 min. Our slide out cover was caught by a very high gust of wind on I8 westbound near the Sentinel Rest area and ripped it off the side of our RV, leaving it flapping in the wind. Our roadside assistance company put us in touch with CJ's. Bob was very helpful and told us what we could do in order to get the RV drivable. His advice and direction saved us the cost of a tow for our 26ft class C RV. When we arrived at CJ's, Bob and Mike took us right in and found all the needed parts to fix the damaged cover. Mike quickly determined what needed to be done and after finding the correct parts quickly and efficiently made the repair. He even went so far as to tell us that there were some vital parts which were not installed at the factory such as an anti wind gust protector. We were in and out of there with a replacement cover within a couple hours. They were great. I would recommend this RV repair facility for anyone in need of RV repair in the Yuma area. read more

We needed immediate attention to our propane issues. We had air in our propane gas lines, to fridge, stove, furnace and hot water heater. We tried bleeding all the lines for 15min, and it didn't work. The fridge ran very erratic on propane and finally, it stopped working with no power. We called CJ and he was able to get us in on the same day. Within an hour, we got the issue diagnosed and fixed. It was a bad regulator with two bad tank hoses, which were replaced. We also had to reset the fridge and it was done. Thank you so much CJ and the team. They got us in quick and did a great job for us. read more

Our experience with CJ'S RV repair shop. On May 5th at 8:00 am, we took our RV in for structural damage to our slide, rotten wood replacement, a window replacement and a partial window replacement. We were told it would take approximately a week, we said great because we were supposed to leave Yuma on the 31st. On May 16th, we had not heard from Jeff ( works at CJ's & possible owner) so we called that morning to get an update on our RV. Jeff was not available but he called us back. He informed us that there was sand in the motor which had to be cleaned out and he'd get back to me that afternoon. He was supposed to call my husband that afternoon but he didn't. By the 30th of May, after having heard nothing again from Jeff, we showed up to see what was going on. We were told that everything was fixed and that they were going to call us. Jeff went to demonstrate the now working motor, that didn't work during the demonstration. He questioned the guy that supposedly fixed the motor, which he confirmed he'd fixed but with negative results. Jeff said, "the batteries need to be charged and it would be ready in a day or two." We said, "Ok, we'll see you then." On June 1st, we received a call from Bob saying that our trailer was ready. Steve called back to find out when they closed and a young lady said they closed at 4:30. We showed up at 4:15 and Bob pulled our paperwork and proceeded to check us out. I wrote a check for the amount of $2863.49 and handed it to Bob. Afterwards Bob asked if they'd pulled our trailer up front and we told him it was still in the back so he called Jeff to see what was going on. He put Jeff on speaker phone and Jeff explain about about the motor having sand in it and they couldn't get it to work. Bob informed him that we were on the premises and had paid for the trailer that we'd been told was fixed but wasn't. Jeff said, " it would be ready on Saturday, June 1, 2023. June 1st came and went without receiving a call from Jeff about our RV. On the morning of June 5th, Steve called CJ's and asked to speak to Jeff. He was told Jeff was on a call and would be gone until 12:00. Steve call the shop again at 4:15 and was told that Jeff was gone for the day. Even though a message had been left for Jeff to call, we never heard from him. This feels like avoidance. Today is June 6th and we showed up at CJ's unannounced and I expressed my anger to Bob at Jeff's lack of communication. I stated that not only did they have our money but they had our trailer and needless to say our schedule has been blown out of the water. Bob informed us that Jeff had taken the pump somewhere to see if they could fix it but you know we were not kept in the loop. Not only would we have not known this if we hadn't shown up but he also didn't call us before the shop closed today. On the morning of June 9th, Steve called CJ's to inform them that we would be coming by on Friday to pickup our trailer because we could not wait for it any longer. Bob informed him that Jeff was out of town until next Tuesday but he'd call Jim (someone in Yuma that works on hydraulics) to see if the motor had been fixed and would get back to him. Bob called Steve back but didn't have an update for him. Steve informed him that we'd still be there to pick up our trailer on Friday whether it was completely fixed or not. On Friday morning, June 10th a little past 10 am, Steve and I went to CJ's to pickup our trailer. When we arrived Bob told us he hadn't heard from Jim, but he called while we were there, without any positive results. We hooked up our trailer and rolled out. Although CJ's was recommended by Foothills RV and the reviews that I read were satisfactory, we were very disappointed in the lack of communication from Jeff concerning the work or lack there of on our trailer. We also didn't appreciate being told that our trailer was ready, paying for it and then finding out it wasn't. We felt scammed! In case you're wondering if they gave us any money back, they didn't. Here's the positive feedback on CJ's: when we first called, they gave us an appointment within a few days; they outsourced the windows being repaired and they look great: they fixed the structural damage and replaced the rotted flooring and they made it easier for the slide to slide in. CJ's gets a 0 in communication skills and 2.5 in a job well done. They have room to redeem themselves by returning our motor, fixed and installed and if they can't complete the job, then they need to give us some of our money back! Steve and Jackie read more

Snapped a leaf spring after hitting a big bump 6miles west of Yuma on a Saturday. Called 15 shops and quickly realized no one works on campers on the weekend so started looking for hotels for my family of 5 + a puppy. With towing the camper I was thinking this was going to cost over $1000 and we'd be missing the first 2 days of our paid for vacation. The owner of CJs returned my called and offered any help he could, but as a 74 man wasn't able to help on the side of the road. The worst place to do business with . We purchased a brand new nor-Cold fridge for our 36ft toy hauler travel trailer from CJ himself may 2019 .. it never worked from the first day he installed it. Then instead of replacing it he told us he would order a new one. He lied to us saying it was ordered but after 2 months of run around we contacted NorCold / Thetford company only to find that Cj's hadn't even reported the warranty claim yet. We had to do cj's job for him . Then he refused to replace it and instead installed a new cooling unit on the back of the fridge. it has never worked correctly and Cj's refuses to make it right . CJ's rv repair is poorly operated, miss managed and he lied to our faces about the warranty . CJ's crew is top notch. Today (Aug 24,2018) we had a wheel bearing decide to part company. We pulled off at the next exit and started looking for a repair shop. We called CJ's and they said to limp it over. Luckily they were less than two miles away. We limped into the shop just after 3pm. I fully expected to have to drop the trailer and spend the weekend in a hotel. We started the repair process on our bumper pull camper in mid-October, 2021. It took repeated calls and visits to get the quote. It them took repeated calls and visits to get the repair scheduled. We were told it would take 3 days. We are 4 weeks later and they haven't even started. We found out they had a service writer who obviously was disgruntled walk out and apparently destroy or "misplace" several work orders for RVs, ours being one of them. I would have pulled the RV out immediately but husband is giving them until Friday, which I am sure will not happen. We are full time RV'ers and this is our home. CJ's is in Yuma, we are in San Diego. We wanted to get our sunburned decals removed/renewed and new flooring in our 24' Winnebago Class C RV. We made an appointment and went over to Yuma, and met Les, the Owner who was very pleasant and professional. We both enjoyed meeting him. He looked carefully at our rig, showed us how the work would be done and referred us to a local flooring company to pick materials, which we did. The Owner took our contact details and said he would write up an estimate. We never heard anything from CJ's again, even after repeated calls to check on the estimate. Some of his employees were exceptionally rude over the phone, like they were too busy. CJ's is a busy local place and also caters to snowbirds, many of whom store their large rigs on his large lot. CJ's seems to have a good reputation too, likely well-deserved in our experience with the owner. We are very sorry that not one of his employees showed any interest in our business despite repeated calls from us while in AZ, and from CA. We are not discourteous, rude or cheap people, and are sorry we couldn't get our work on their busy schedule. We strongly doubt it was the Owner's fault. He was not well served in our opinion in this case, especially by an aggressively rude woman who answers phones and interfaces with potential customers. We were referred to CJ's by a good Yuma friend and satisfied customer, which makes our experience doubly disappointing . We enjoyed Yuma, our drive over and our stay there. But the rude lady at CJ's will be long-remembered, in contrast to most Arizonans who are quite friendly and happy. That lady might be a better fit in New York in terms of her attitude, and not a friendly place like AZ. Something is not right at CJ's. In October we had a dangerously loose mud flap on our RV as we were traveling from New Mexico to SoCal. It could have been a disaster if our tire suffered a puncture. Luckily we found this repair place on my Yelp app and when we called them, they said to stop by. The gentleman who helped us (I don't remember the name) quickly and efficiently fixed the flap so that we could get home safely. And he said "no charge". Wow, so generous! He also alerted to us that our tires needed to be replaced soon. I'm a little late in writing a review, but we appreciate so much their assistance so that our vacation didn't end badly. Our journey with CJ's began November 2019. What an exhausting, uncommunicative, time wasting experience. I wouldn't recommend CJ's to anyone. They take full advantage of snowbirds, thinking we have all the time in the world. To wait. Though these guys are generally nice people on the whole and pretty knowledgeable. With the exception for the younger gal in the office, (don't speak to her until you are spoken to, unless you want a glaring, snappy, eye rolling, impatient answer). Les is the owner and ring leader, who has no concept of time or time management. The whole company is completely in his head, and no one knows anything or can make any decisions without him. We are snowbirds (and they knew it) we started experiencing a soft floor in front of the kitchen sink. So we decided to hunker down in Yuma to address the problem. After researching various rv repair places from San Diego to Arizona we settled on CJ's because of their reviews (they had 15 total, with a couple bad reviews). We also chose them because they were approved through our manufacture for warranty work. Day 1: Waited 8 hours for Les to arrive to our rig at the resort we were staying at a couple miles from their business to assess our issue. He couldn't give us a window of when he would be there when we initially called him earlier that morning, he finally showed up around 6pm. After a 5 min assessment, Les said he could fit us in in 3 weeks for repairs. Day 2: The following day we relocated to another resort nearby, and our slideout decides to act up. We call CJ 's and Les say's he'll send someone out in a couple hours, 5 hours later a couple of his guys show up and get the slide working within a couple minutes. Mike giggled and pulled some wires on one of the motors, got the slide back in, but it was only a temporary fix. Because the wires were pulled, as they are very fragile, we needed a new motor. So we packed up immediately and brought the rig to their yard, then rented a hotel room for the night. The next day, we called, left messages, no return call. We finally just drove to the yard around 5 pm, because no one could tell us anything over the phone. We find Les and he tells us it would be ready in the morning. Another full day wasted and another night in the hotel and over $500 in repairs. Day 3: It's now 3 weeks later and our appointment has finally come. When we dropped off our rig at 8 am saying they will need it for 3-4 days. So we rented a hotel for 3 days. On the 4th day we call, call, call and finally get ahold of Les and he say's ok come pick up your rig around 4 or 5 pm. We got ahold of him right in the nick of time, around noon, otherwise we were going have to pay another night in the hotel. But we were ecstatic our rig was ready, so we thought! When we got there, Les told us they were able to assess the problem, and to bring it back in in 1month for repairs. What!!! Wait!! We had the impression they were going to fix it then, while they had the belly down!! I don't think it takes 4 days to drop a couple of tanks and the underbelly. Les knew we were full timing it, I had expressed to him from the beginning that we didn't want to fork out a bunch of money on hotels and dining out. It was obvious, by now, his guys were working double time, working on pieces here and there, not dedicating one man to one job. We should have turned around then, but we had already invested so much time and energy into this. The only good news was the repairs would be covered order the mfg's warranty. Day 4: One month passes, it's now early January 2020, after delaying our appointment a few more days because of the holidays and because they were still working on ongoing projects, we finally get our rig in. 7 days later our floor is fixed! The repairs amounted to a little over $1600. Which we thought seemed low for what they explained they were going to have to do. Which was reinforce a joist where the flooring had missed, a mfg flaw. Which would entail welding and such. So it seemed suspicious when the only materials they charged was a piece of plywood, the rest was labor. We should have asked, but we were drained, and we wanted to finally be done with this whole company, and get the heck out of Yuma! Fast forward to June 2020, and my heart sinks. It's another soft floor, but now in front of the dinette on the joist adjacent to the kitchen sink joist. When we got our rig back from CJ's, after the repairs, I noticed a new little creaking noise on the floor in that area, now it's sinking. And now we're 2000 miles away from AZ and CJ's. Here we go again, having to go through this again, but only now I doubt this is a mfgs flaw. Without proof, we don't feel like CJ's did the repairs they said they were going to do. It's appearing they just shuffled around the two boards in these areas, for a quick fix. Knowing that over time the floor would start to give and we weren't going to be in the area to call them on it. read more

This place restored my faith in humanity (and mechanics!) my husband and I are doing a military move from Seattle to North Carolina via Yuma. Somewhere in California, my breakaway brake partially deployed and pretty much completely destroyed my brakes on my horse trailer. I called this shop and asked them if they could get my in fast, as we were traveling on orders.... they had me bring the trailer in the next day. Because of the circumstances, they could have skinned us but instead they: Got it done FAST. Quoted me a fair price, gave me a very generous military discount and even threw in a part and some labor free of charge. So no surprises, and a bill far below the estimate. Awesome service here!! We travel in our RV full time, and needed our old roof vents replaced while traveling through Yuma. They did the work right away, very well, and for a reasonable price. No body has to ask me will you write a good review because I can't contain my feelings on this. I called on Sat Morning man answered was very friendly, anyway I explained that our AC wasn't working in our RV. Well the guy says that his AC Tect is off but he would be glad to come look at it, well as soon as he closed the shop he showed up ( I think that day it was 115 Deg ) so he had brought a thermostat to try but to no avail it didn't help so he said if you can bring it to the shop on Monday we will fix it. OK Monday I drove our 2008 Fleetwood Class A M/H and I was treated to some old fashion get this done old school repair. I got to say Les is More then one of the good guys he is a joy to know and I see his people are in line with his get it done thinking. This place is the tops in my books. We came from Phoenix and on a Saturday, our motorhome air conditioners overheated and we got locked out of the bedroom with a jammed door. We couldn't get to the breaker box to reset air conditioners. Of all the places we called we were told by all of them EXCEPT CJ's, that it was Saturday and we were out of luck until Monday. The owner of CJ'S R.V.Repair specialists, came back to the shop to help us out. He is one of a kind. This is a gentleman that the words Customer Service, truly represent his business. He and his assistant had us up and running in about 90 minutes to continue our trip to San Diego. It was 120 in the motorhome, and our service dog and we would like to say THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for Les Reese and his outstanding service center. Great knowledgable service, knowledgable being the operative word! We had tried to get our big double door refrigerator fixed for 6 months, either they put me off, or tried to fix it but did it wrong!! Thanks to Les, the owner, and his tremendous knowledge, and thanks to Jerry, who did the repairs, well, let's just say they kept us safe and kept our RV from burning down, due to a very bad repair done a month ago from someone else, somewhere else! They had to pull out that big refrigerator, replace the coils, and put that big thing back in! It is working like a charm now!! Les even took it upon himself to let us know that the very expensive (yet incorrect) work that had been done by the other company, would be covered by Dometic warranty after he called them and explained the situation! All I can say is WOW..!! As I stood there listening to him talk to other customers in the store or on the phone, it was quite apparent he truly knew what he was talking about in all aspects of the RV!
