I've been using megabus in the northeast for years and they've always been reliable. You can count…read moreon cheap, on time, and a clean ride. In Tallahassee they pick up at the bus station. There's a small sign to direct where pick up is. The day I came, they arrived 10min late (not a big deal). The staff barely looked at my ticket and I could've easily shown them an invalid one and they couldn't care less. The bus was clean and I got to Orlando on time. One issue is that it was January and they had the AC running! I asked if they could turn it off but the drivers said he couldn't. It wasn't ice cold (probably in the 60s) but it would've gone a long way to make everyone on the bus more comfortable if it was a bit warmer.

We booked a trip last night from Tallahassee to New Orleans. We had accidentally booked for a time…read morethat we were unable to leave and so we called to have to have the reservation changed. A customer service representative helped us on the phone to change the reservation and told us that we would be able to get on the next bus. When we got to the station, I still had not received another email with a confirmation code or reservation number. The bus was over 30 minutes late and in a hurry. We tried to explain to the staff members that we had changed our reservation and we should have been on this bus. No one tried to get into contact with anyone who could help, and we were unable to get a hold of anyone to help because their phone line was closed. The staff was rude, saying that we needed a confirmation number now or we couldn't get on, even after explaining that I had just spoke with someone. They walked away from us closed the door in our face and drove off leaving us stranded at the station. After calling today to try and sort out the issue we were informed that we could not change reservations until 3 hours before our bus left, which was not part of the conversation I had the previous night with a customer service rep. After explaining our situation, the lady on the phone said she could not refund our money. We asked to speak to a manager and she said he couldn't help us either. We said that is fine, but we would like to speak to him, and that is when she hung up on us. We tried calling again and was connected with a gentlemen who also hung up on us only 2 minutes into talking to him. All we asked was if there was a manager we could speak to. There is no accountability in this business, no help, and false promises. I was once a happy customer and promoter for mega bus and now I feel that I was never taken seriosuly, my concerns were never addressed, and I had my money stolen. I operate a bar, work hard, and know customer service. This was appalling.

WARNING: I had a very bad WWOOF volunteering experience at this farm. WWOOF = World Workers On…read moreOrganic Farms. WWOOF brings together WWOOF hosts and volunteers. The idea is a fair exchange of labor for room and board. The general WWOOF guidelines are about 25 hours/ week of labor in exchange for room and board. The Kanalu Kennel WWOOF page said: Work requirements would be approximately 5 hours daily. 5 days a week. 1. When I arrived I found out that they regularly have WWOOF volunteers work 10-12 hours/ day, 6 days/ week = 60-72 hours/ week. ONLY for room and board, no pay. When I arrived, there was a young French girl there who had already been working 60-72 hours/ week for a month. She was shocked at the amount of work, which she had not expected either. But she never complained. I refused, pointing out that according to WWOOF guidelines, volunteers should not expect to work more than about 25 hours/ week. And I also pointed out that he himself said on their WWOOF page 5 hour/day, 5 days/ week. I held him to his word and agreed only to work that much. 2. They ration food! They prepare a decent breakfast about 8 am. They allow volunteers to eat a sandwich- period- at lunch. Johnnie and Randy usually only eat one of those 2 meals, either brk or lunch, but not both. They sometimes make dinner about 8-9 pm. I was there 5 nights. In that time, they made dinner 3 nights, but not 2. Of those 3 dinners, I ate only one! That was the night I arrived. The second dinner they prepared, I didnt' eat because I was sick from the chemicals they had me spray on the crops that day!! I skipped dinner and went to bed early. (more on this later) The 3rd dinner I didn't eat because Mr. CArey BANNED ME FROM DINNER!! He said I had already eaten enough that day and I was not allowed to eat dinner! As a matter of fact, I had been EATING MY OWN FOOD THAT i TOOK WITH ME! 3. I got sick from the chemicals they had me spray on the crops! I'm not sure what the chemicals are because I'm not too familiar with farming chemicals and procedures. I do know that it was a mix of 3 chemicals, including bleach, a 'choro..' something, and peretherin. I was spraying it on squash plants to fight downey mildew. The squash leaves have little needles which can irritate the skin. I sprayed for 3.5 hours in 100F in Florida, bright sunny skies. They did not suggest I cover my skin. They did not give me a face mask. My arms, face and legs were bare. By noon I was not feeling very well. I went inside to eat. My arms were both covered in red rash from wrists to elbows and were burning. I washed them in cold water, put on moisturizer and then an anti inflammatory cream. I drank A LOT of water and electrolytes. I became sick. I took 2 anti-histamines, which I luckily had with me. I continued feeling sick, including diarrhea, overall malaise, slight tightness in the chest, and lack of concentration. I told both Randy and Johnnie that I felt sick and seemed to have an allergic reaction from either the chemicals or plants. THey both showed no concern and told me it had nothing to do with either plants or chemicals. They completely ignored the fact that my arms were bright red rash and burning. I continued feeling sick all day. I finally skipped dinner and went to bed early. I also slept all night in Air conditioning, which is amazing for me. I never use a/c. I hate it and avoid it as much as possible. The next morninig, neither of them asked if I was ok! ?! I was sick for half that day. They told me that no other WWOOF volunteers had any reaction to the plants or chemicals. I asked the FRench girl if she had any reaction. She said yes. She also took anti-histimines. She said the next day her arms were swollen. 5. When they drove me to the bus station, it was raining. I had to put my bag and my bicycle in a cardboard bike box in the back of the pick up truck because the cab was full. I asked them for a tarp or plastic to cover my things so they wouldn't get wet. They refused. Consequently, my bag, all my possessions and bike were drenched when I reached the bus station. At the station, they weight bags and packages to determine the cost. Needless to say, my bags were over weight. 6. Here are comments made to me by Mr. Carey during my stay there: " I don't care what the WWOOF guidelines are. What i care about is my farm and the plants out there." " Get out of my face. I don't want to talk to you" " Go to your room" - about my rash and burning arms: "Oh, put some dirt and spit on it. Toughen up. It's nothing." " You're not sick from plant or chemicals. That's your own thing. Something's wrong with you" "I'm not giving you dinner. You ate enough already" "If you don't stop running your mouth, you're going to sleep in a tent tonight" Mr. Carey told me that they have had 10 other WWOOF volunteers at their farm, all of whom worked the 60-70 hours/ week without complaining. He said I was the first one to complain.
