They ship it to the closest Greyhound to your new location and you pick it up. It's so simple. It's so cheap. My trek to Greyhound was pretty outrageous. My mom and I filled my stepdads truck with the 6 boxes. We rode to the station. We were all grins. The process was easy peasy and any tricks or mishaps seemed to be avoided. Then, in typical Florida fashion, the clouds amassed, the heavens opened and my boxes were lovingly lavished with monsoon style rain. We rushed to the station, jumped out of the car, tossed the boxes under the awning and went inside to drop off the boxes. Adrian was a dream and single-handedly brought in all the boxes. He rang us up, printed our receipt and put the boxes in front a fan to dry them off. One week later I picked up all my boxes and am still glowing from the ease of delivery. Thanks Adrian! Greyhound is, despite its weathered exteriors, quite a solid business. reliable travel, helpful stops along the route, and solid predictions of arrival. my first trip was delayed due to the lack of a driver, but still i don't hold that against greyhound at all, as they were able to rustle up an emergency driver in a mere 20 minutes and get people loaded on the bus. read more

Horrible! I was left at an unauthorized Greyhound stop, a truck stop on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, between Harrisburg and Pittsburgh. I was on my way to my aunt's funeral at 11 am in Pittsburgh. The driver stopped at the truck stop and said people could go to the bathroom or get food. I wasn't the only person who got off the bus. I didn't take long when I went to the bathroom. After I realized that the bus left me, Greyhound refused to assist me because they said I had to be at an authorized Greyhound station to get another ticket. The closest station was Pittsburgh, 2 1/2 hours away, or Harrisburg, 1 1/2 hours away in the opposite direction. Long story short, I didn't make the funeral and barely made the graveside and repast after my boyfriend came from Baltimore, Md to pick me up and take me to Pittsburg, PA. I only took Greyhound since it was the straightest route to Pittsburgh and had taken it previously with little issue. My boyfriend had offered to take me however I declined because I wanted him to preserve his work leave and our relationship was within the first 3 weeks. I was not able to get a Lyft or Uber to pick me up to take me the rest of the way. Needless to say, my boyfriend, we're still together, was the real hero of this story. Both of my parents, who are divorced, love him and are very grateful that he came and got me. My boyfriend is wonderful, I love him very much. Greyhound sucks and should be avoided whenever possible. Disappointing!!!!! The bus was supposed to start at 6:15pm. And at 6:30, they announced there is no driver. And guess what, we are not even allowed to ask anything regarding that. The guy who announced it, snubbed at a person asking something. They told the 6:15 bus driver will come around 1am in the morning!! Now it is 1:45 and still going on. I had to put a star to post this review but they get no stars from me. Purchased a bus ticket for 8/3/24 to go from Tallahassee to Tampa bus was to leave at 6:10. We were there well ahead of time so that wasn't the issue. However the bus driver was really nasty I'm talking a straight B**** to every passenger that stood in line to get their ticket scanned to get on the bus. She scanned the tickets and would tell the ones she didn't like to stand on the side. She told an older lady don't be taking when I'm talking if you gone ride my bus!! Then she started saying things to each one of them about what she didn't like. None of the passengers had said one word or was acting out of character until she started in on them for no apparent reason. Her job is to scan the tickets and let the paying rider get on the bus. She told my brother who had never open his mouth her initial statement to him after scanning his ticket red shirt stand over there already judging him RED SHIRT stand over there TF. Then after scanning about 10 people she tells him I was watching you in the parking lot and you got a bad spirit my mood instantly was WTF she just said. I was heated at that point then she was refusing to let him on the bus. After that statement from her that's when he did get upset who wouldn't!! I was in the parking lot with him and everybody else standing waiting for that bus to be called smoking his cigarette like all the others. He hadn't said one word to nobody the entire time there. But when she said and all he was trying to do is catch the bus he paid for to ride that's when all H€££ did break loose because at this point as a driver you judging somebody who hadn't even said a word to her. She made about 12 people stand and wait to get on the bus because of issues she was having. He had to change his ticket to the next day because at that point I wouldn't have never let him get on that bus with her. She was the one with the bad spirit. Even the other drivers said she was wrong they watched everything transpire and they literally had to call their supervisor. The entire experience was uncalled for and made me get out of my character because she tried my brother who don't bother nobody. The staff saying she does this all the time. Well Greyhound needs to do something about that driver because she's very rude to paying customers who's not bothering nobody and everybody that cross her path is not going to take her BS. I'm going to take this situation higher because something really needs to be done about her. This is basically discrimination but why though. If greyhound take the time to pull the cameras they'll see the entire interaction with her on this day. I really hope something is done. read more

It's just a l'il bit after midnight on a steamy Friday night in the big city. It can only mean ONE thing... ...That's right. It's that greyhound bus station review y'all were waiting on! Last week. While the wife was in a board meeting nearby, I moseyed on over to the greyhound station. Can't say I've ever been ON a greyhound (I did ride the red coach to Miami a couple of years ago - does that go towards my cred account?) but I've always been big on mass transit. One is immediately taken aback by the strikingly bold architectural nuances of the building proper. Its early '60s flair rooted within the fonts, access points, and cladding of more rudimentary times. The great room within gives way to a grand staircase leading to the "Super Food Deli 2" (see separate review), and allows for sitting enjoyment in the common waiting area. Riders enjoy fully functional plumbing in the restrooms as well as largely intact armrests on many of the chairs. Active smokers are encouraged to gather on the western side by the GPX entry. While I've not (yet) ridden a greyhound, I have been here at undesirable hours (I.e., 4ish AM) picking up wayward friends from "back in the day" who were coming back to check out campus and relive the glory days. my bus left 25 minutes early without letting anyone know. They left 6 separate parties behind. I called and they moved my ticket to the next bus coming 8 hours later. That bus never arrived. I spoke with 4 different "customer service" reps and no one could even locate the bus or give me a direct answer if it was even coming or not. I waited 4 hours hoping it would arrive and ended up using a different bus company so I wouldn't be stranded. this company is clearly outsourced so they don't really care about helping you and keep telling you to call a different terminal for an answer. But when you call that terminal or location, it gets outsourced again. I requested a refund because the bus never showed up and was refused. I will NEVER use greyhound. read more

Currently sitting here stranded, went to the desk to ask what bus i needed to go on and after the two ladies stopped having a chat fest, they told me they'd call out the bus. 10 minutes goes by and they call one going to another area so i go back and they tell my bus left had already left a while ago (never even told me what one itd be even though i said i never have taken a greyhound before). When told this they immediately started chatting again and were very rude when i was trying to ask when it left. Our bus ticket says bus is to leave at 10PM here is is 10:34 and when I finally talk to someone at greyhound I'm told there is a delay bus may arrive at 11:04pm!! Here's my thing do I get a discount because ur late?! I paid $211 for a one way ticket and it specifically said I was to be here 20 mins prior to the bus leaving at 10PM and yet I still sit here!!! I've stopped at a lot of Greyhound stations in the day. The Tallahassee station is average. There's not much else to say about it. It's secure in that there's a security guard that roves inside of the building. Customer service is ok, but they could be more proactive and act like they want to be on the job. They were frowning all the time, and quite frankly, were downright grouchy. Building itself wasn't very clean and looked like it could use a fresh count of paint on the inside. The pros were mostly the food service people. They were very friendly and polite, helping me as best they could. Gave me a drink upsize for nothing extra and the food was freshly cooked. When I couldn't find a seat to eat my dinner, I had consigned myself to sitting on the floor. Thankfully, the cashier took notice and reminded me that the seats near the kitchen entrance were for food service customers only and shooed some passengers back to the main seating area to allow me a place to sit. Fantastic service there! In addition, there were functioning pay phones there (which is useful since my phone likes to die a lot) that only cost a dollar for nationwide calling. Like I said at the start, fairly average Greyhound station. But it's the people and their service, along with the handful of amenities, that set this place a notch above most. read more

Awful. Do not risk using Greyhound. Because that's exactly what it is, a risk. The bus was delayed 7 hours, and our connecting bus driver refused to wait 10 minuets for us to arrive. After making many calls and talking to many Greyhound representatives, supervisors, and station clerks, the only conclusion I can make is that they just don't care about their customers. Do not travel by Greyhound. Rent a car. I bought a round trip ticket and on the way back home my bus did not show up. For all intents and purposes, I was stranded in the city I had travelled to. When I informed Greyhound, they pretty much had a so what type of attitude which explains their ticket counter agents and everything else about this business. read more

i really wish i knew more about the experience of riding with greyhound. wow. a rude front desk, rude assistance, and terribly rude bus drivers. i wish i could rate greyhound less than one star. the station itself is very sketchy and unresponsive. the bus arrived 30 minutes late and didn't even bother announcing it. the comfort level in the bus does not compare to what is advertised, the wifi does not work, and my overall experience was atrocious. do yourself a favor, spend a little more on other traveling companies. in the end, you get what you paid for. good luck. read more

I wish I could give it a zero: my son is a student at FSU. We booked him on a 2pm express ( no stops) bus to the Jacksonville airport. The bus was 4 hours late. It was not express. It made multiple stops. He not only missed his original flight at 6:30pm but every flight that night. We had to pay to put him up in a hotel. Plus we had to pay to get a flight the next day. A complete disaster! I will never use Greyhound again for anything. We are out of pocket hundreds of dollars because of this poorly run bus service. read more

I am very upset at this bus transportation service. I had a bus scheduled at 2pm, and I am a student who had a quiz that was scheduled to end at 1pm. I was on schedule and ended my quiz at around 12:55. After finishing the 25 minute walk back to my apartment to pick up my bags, I ordered my Uber to the bus station, and was on my way there. My Uber was scheduled to arrive at the bus station at 2:02, and my friend who was already in the bus kindly asked the driver if he could wait two more minutes for me to arrive. The driver showed no mercy, and rudely told her that he would not wait the extra 120 seconds. After spending my money and rushing my way to the station, I arrived one minute late and the driver, unwilling to wait that one minute for me, left JUST as I arrived at the station. I am completely upset that I spent my hard earned money and had a completely terrible day only to be met with extremely rude and inconsiderate costumer service!!!!! I understand that the bus was scheduled to leave at 2pm, but I don't understand how waiting an extra two minutes would have done anybody any harm. Not to mention the bus did not even have an available seat for me after I had bought my ticket a month in advance!! do NOT travel on greyhound. my first experience was bad so i tried giving then another shot because of the good price... bad mistake. they may have cheap prices but that comes with AWFUL service, uncomfortable buses, rude staff, and gross stations. save up and use another service. my bus leaving from home was 3 hours late. once i got to orlando to switch onto another one to finish my trip, i was stuck for 6+ hours waiting for my bus that never came, and wasn't even informed why until hours later. they don't even clean the buses, i got to my destination sick and uncomfortable. i ended up not even returning on greyhound even though i had already paid for the ticket and used red coach instead. don't go on greyhound and save yourself a headache. read more
