As this Enterprise location is the closest to me, off I went to get my car for a business trip that starts tomorrow. The first thing we noticed is that the rental facility is far nicer inside than I would have expected. Clean, lots of windows, well lit. Sets a nice tone. And the counter staff were friendly and helpful. They quickly processed my rental paperwork for me and we were walking to take a look at the car in under 10 minutes. When I saw that the car only had manual seat controls, I asked if there was something with electric controls (no, I am not a car-seat-control snob. I have a bad lower back and being able to adjust the seat while driving, especially in a rental, helps make sure I can minimize any lower back pain). The agent quickly looked at the other cars in the lot, saw one with electric controls, and switched my original car for that one. Great customer service! The car was a 2015 and clean (and when the cars were not clean, I saw that the desk agents would run out and take them to the car wash station themselves so that the new renter could quickly be on their way and not have to wait). The only reason I am not making this a 5 star review is because I want to see how the actual rental car is during my trip. I'll post an update when I get back.

Please do not rent from Enterprise at the Tallahassee, FL W. Tennessee St location or Enterprise at…read moreall. I reserved a rental car 1 week in advance. On the night before we were to pick up our rental car at 8 PM I received a call from Tariq saying that my reservation was going to be canceled because they had no vehicles available. Mind you we reserved this car a week in advance. I then asked, could you get another car from one of your other locations? I was told they couldn't do that, I would have to call myself, but that he would be glad to transfer me. Tariq then tried to transfer me. I was transferred to roadside assistance instead. I then proceeded to locate the number for the rental car location at Tallahassee airport and called them. The airport location made a reservation for the same location where I was just canceled. I asked how they could book another reservation for the same location that just canceled me. I was booked again with the Airport location at a higher rate. I explained that the rate needs to be the same as what I had originally since this was no fault of my own they canceled that reservation and rebooked again at the W. Tennessee St. location still at the higher price. I called Registration yet again and was told that they were not able to adjust the price I would have to be transferred to Customer Service. I then spoke with Customer Service and was rebooked yet again at the higher rate after three or four calls back-and-forth, and the last time I was transferred to Customer Service the office was closed. I called "Reservations" again I told them that the customer service office was closed. I was told I could go into the Tallahassee Tennessee Street location when I picked up my car and ask them if they would be able to give me the original price. Well, the next morning at 7 AM I received another call from the W. Tennessee St. location telling me they had to cancel this reservation. I did call the office manager Marissa after the final cancellation She stated to me "There is nothing I can do and I can't just make a car appear ." I still have yet to receive a callback from the escalation department where I left a complaint.

When they finally pulled the car up, it was not the car I selected online. It was a much smaller car and was only $1 dollar cheaper per day. I also didn't have great service. I had employees telling me I could get a discount if I brought my claim number but when I came the next day they said I had to make a reservation through AllState. When I was looking at this car that I didn't ask for and trying to understand pricing, the employee mentioned how many people they had waiting even though it was my turn to be helped. No where in my reservation email confirmation does it say to do this. It does not say a disclaimer that your reservations are based on availability Attached is the rental checklist you get once you make a reservation. It does not say call the location to make sure they have a car available. I use the term "reservation " very loosely because although the dictionary defines it as The definition of a reservation is something withheld or the act of withholding something Enterprise defines it as more of a roulette situation.
