Without getting into my medical specifics, after visiting Dr. Allen my situation got worse quickly and turned out to be more serious than it had initially seemed. His staff was amazing in helping me through initial issues that popped up while he was in another surgery. Then he got my surgery scheduled and answered all of my questions. Post-surgery I had complications due to my particular reaction to the procedure. He spent nearly two hours at the hospital that evening providing care for me directly which avoided a second surgery. Today I am doing great and I could not be more appreciative of Dr. Allen and his staff. He was amazing and my quality of life has significantly improved. I had a medical concern, was given false information by her nurses and had to wait 40 mins to see her. I paid for the visit and no treatment was given and she told me to come back but still charged me knowing she was sending me the letter. This is theft! I actually had to do a chargeback and was awarded the money back due to services not rendered. Very cold blooded, dishonest and selfish. The whole 9 yrs she was moody - some days moderately sweet and some just out right mean but I stayed loyal to her. I gave her 9 yrs and she threw me out like trash. At times I felt she looked at me as only dollar signs. Additionally, I had to wait 30-45 mins each time to see her - she triple stacks her appts I assume more $ for her. After delivering the baby, I lost feeling in my leg and despite constantly asking for help afterward, my concerns were ignored or not treated seriously. I was scared to hold my baby or even walk, but no one seemed to care. I later found out I damaged nerves in my leg while delivering. This experience was incredibly frustrating, especially since I've had other deliveries at different hospitals and expected a certain level of care. Additionally, part of the placenta was left inside my body for months. I kept complaining about unusual bleeding and pain but was dismissed similar to when I brought up the numbness in my leg. It wasn't until I demanded an ultrasound--after talking to other doctors online--that they finally took action and realized what was going on. Even then, I had to practically beg them to remove it before the Thanksgiving holiday. It felt like they were more concerned about their holiday plans than my health. I realize diagnosing health issues isnt easy and mistakes can be made. But I dont have tolerance for rude or disrespectful behavior. The straw that broke the camel's back happened the other day. After arriving for a recent appointment, I was asked to sit in the waiting area and would be checked in shortly. Another patient arrived after me and was immediately being checked in. I was confused so went to ask if I could also be checked but was quite rudely asked to wait. I've finally decided to find another doctor. I went in as a new patient due to some post menopausal issues and after waiting in the exam room for over a half hour, Dr Bailey came in and asked me questions. I am 53 years old, extremely healthy, not overweight, I exercise, eat well, plenty of rest, my BP is great and I am not on any required medications other than for a lazy thyroid. I have my annual mammograms, and see my primary physician every six to eight weeks. The last gynecologist I went to was a urologist-gynecologist who had to place a second bladder sling due to incontinence. This was two years ago, she specifically stated "if no issues, you could get a pap in three or so years if you want but not necessary" I'm married so I'm not actively dating with multiple partners, so that's not a factor. I was seeing Dr Bailey due to HRT I had been receiving and some onset minor issues. My urologist/gyno said it was out of her wheel house and would feel better if I consulted with a gynecologist. I just moved to TX a few years back so I never had one established because I was post menopausal before we moved. Dr Bailey proceeds to insult my intelligence by talking to me like I'm ignorant stating "you are supposed to have a Pap test every year". I felt like I was 8 years old being reprimanded by a teacher or an adult. I stated, I was told "no issues, not one needed but maybe every 3 years. It's been two and now I'm having issues". First of all, I'm older then Dr Bailey, what about respect to your elders? Second, I have a masters degree and have worked in the legal/insurance fraud arena for over 20 years, so Dr Bailey, I'm not ignorant, this is not my first pregnancy, or young mother to be wherein you can push around in order to make people feel inferior to you. You are very lucky I didn't tell you to go F yourself and walk out. In addition, I went home that evening and read about all of your awards, your published articles and how you were named Parkland Hospital's Resident of the Year, while that's very impressive. I have assisted in a PTSD center in Israel on the Gaza Strip helping children and adults affected by the constant flight or fight mode state of mind they are always in. I was over there for quite some time helping in many ways, and interned with the County of Dallas EM/DHS Office to establish new shelters around the county, so please next time before you insert your God complex on a patient, especially a new one, please remember you are not the only intelligent, caring, published and educated woman around the DFW metroplex. I truly believe all of your patients have those same exact qualities. Just because we are not physicians does not mean we cannot articulate and deserve respect. It's no wonder you were the only one in your practice that had openings before the end of March. He was angry that he got called in and was telling me he couldn't be in two places at once. The staff was irritated with him because they kept calling him for a physical evaluation. When he finally did show up, he just stood there with his hands on his hips asking what do you want to know? I stated that he's only here because this is an emergency. I asked for surgery right away but he was so arrogant and didn't want a patient to be right. I don't think he ever looked at my chart because he prescribed me medicine for heavy periods. I had a miscarriage at home, passed the baby and started hemorrhaging. By the time EMTs arrived I lost a liter of blood. I ended up in shock in the ICU where Preston Alexander finally showed up after 5 hrs. He decided to induce me against my wishes. I was 14 weeks and had already passed the baby, clearly I needed to go right to Surgery once I was stable to remove my retained placenta and cells that were imbedded onto my uterus. I was still profusely bleeding up until the surgery. I begged to go right into surgery and told him I was too weak. This is while I am getting yet another blood transfusion and my blood pressure is tanking. He put me through unnecessary induction pain and tried to manually pull out clots. I've had two natural births before this and nothing compared to this pain! This part added unnecessary trauma. He eventually did the surgery 12 hrs after I arrived to the hospital and told me I would go home after an hour. By that point I turned septic and did not in fact go home an hour after that surgery. I was there for another week and I never saw him again. He never even called to talk about my surgery findings that explained why I hemorrhaged.

I was in so much pain after the surgery I agreed and left the office. I called and emailed after and Sarai stated that they had a right to BALANCE BILL their patients! They essentially broke our state law and overcharged their patient for BALANCE BILLING. I am still disputing this issue and they refuse to refund the patient overpayment. Stay away from this practice unless you want to be forced into overpayment.

Signed in and was waiting in the empty lobby for 45 minutes. I then was brought back to the room and waited 30 minutes or more after the nurse did her work up. I was not checked in on once or told how much longer the wait would be. Dr. Boyd comes in and sits down in the chair across from me. She then wanted to review my medical history. It was completely inaccurate. I had spent 25 minutes writing down my detailed family history prior to my appointment as required and she was repeating it incorrectly. I then corrected her politely and she "fixed it." She then said I was here for my hormone evaluation panel and I agreed and she just ordered the labs. She did not ONCE examine me or take a look at the areas I was concerned about (even tho that was why I was there). I was told they do not do labs in office and had to obtain them and return in a month to review the results (which is fine). I was then checked out. About 2 weeks later I received the EOB from my insurance and she billed a moderate visit that cost my insurance $600 dollars and I had to pay $175. I went to look at my chart summary and the medical history was STILL wrong after Dr. Boyd "fixed it" in the exam room with me. She had completely incorrect diagnosis of cancer for my family and had random diagnoses for my father (that I did not report and he does not have). My occupation was also wrong (despite filling it in myself online as instructed beforehand like the rest of the paperwork). I have never given a provider a poor review before but the lack of detail and absolutely NO physical exam by her was not ok. I am seeing another OBGYN next week who I hope cares more than Dr. Boyd. Please go see another provider and avoid this practice. I paid my fee but I will not be returning.
