So, don't ever judge a book by its cover! I was skeptical last time we were in PCB, and now I'm kicking myself for missing a meal there! Last night! Crab cake appetizer $10 for two huge crab cakes, each had one! Then the salad with crisp fresh greens- shredded cheese- diced carrots and onions and maybe tomato I 86'd them from my order. Now, the waitress said they were famous for their prime rib. I would maybe say well known, however we both went for it, knowing we were going to have a lot of seafood this week. Hubby had his blackened And he said it was spicy, and tasty. Mine was a perfect medium rare. Now, the side dishes nothing but plain steamed broccoli for hubby, without a lot of taste. And the red skin potatoes, while they were a lot of them. They really needed some sort of butter and or seasoning. We did not have room for dessert, which is a good sign. A true hidden gem in PCB. When you first pull up to the outdated strip mall, let's just say, looks can be deceiving but once inside, it's different. Great ambience and even friendlier wait staff who just happened to be one of the owners on a short staffed night. Waited 2-3 mins for them to pull a couple of tables together for our family of 7. Drink orders taken & boom, there. Our dinner order was taken, salads came quickly and they were so good! Keep in mind, my husband is the pickiest man ever but everything we ordered including his blackened grouper was off the charts delicious. I had the C platter which included shrimp, flounder fillets, crab legs, best hushpuppies ever and fries. Homemade tartar sauce & cocktail sauce. We also had the fish tacos, the fish n chips (flounder) kids hamburger and wings. EVERYTHING was absolutely delicious. C Level - C - platter - Bars Near Me - Panama City Beach, Florida

I'll start by saying we go to C Level every time we are in Panama City, which is about 4 times a year. It's one of our favorites. We actually went down this time specifically to go to C Level and one other restaurant. The food was still great, even though the Prime Rib was a bit over cooked, but it was still juicy and tender, so that was fine. The issue was the service. It started when we got there. We were waiting on a table, so we went to the bar for a drink. The bartender, which is the same male bartender that is there every time we go, was telling the server that he wouldn't transfer a tab that was started at the bar to her table because he doesn't make any money that way. While that may be the case, this is a behind the scenes conversation, not an in front of guests conversation, and if the guest wants to pay one tab, he needs to realize the guest comes first, and just deal with it. After we were sat, we waited probably 10 minutes to be greeted, and immediately ordered when the server came to our table. Our food took almost an hour to come out. Just before it came out, we overheard the servers saying they were out of a lot of things, including prime rib, which is what we ordered. Luckily, we got the last couple of pieces. We ordered another round of drinks, and my girlfriend's wine came out, but mine never came. Meanwhile, my water sat empty the entire time as well. When we got the check, it wasn't on there. I'm not sure how you repeat a drink order back to two people, and forget to ring one of the two in. We never said anything about it at that point, I really didn't want the drink anymore anyways. I really hope this place isn't going downhill service wise, because I'd hate to see it go anywhere. It's becoming very popular, but these kind of experiences will kill that. read more

I've been here before and people rave about this place on PCB forums. I was previously impressed even though the place looks like a dump from outside. I was bragging about it to my friends since we would have to wait at the other two places I really wanted to go to. They seated us promptly which was a plus, but our waitress who really wasn't our waitress told us they didn't do Happy Hour so I ordered a PBR. Another waitress came out five minutes later and took our drink order a second time and said the girl was underage and couldn't take drink orders. I asked her about Happy Hour since the young girl seemed clueless and she said "Oh yeah...Two for one beer" So I changed my beer to a Mich Ultra. She brought the beer out, waited until we started to drink and said "My bad...that's only Mon-Thurs". My son's kid's fish meal consisted of one piece of tiny white fish and a ton of greasy fries for 7 bucks. My husband and I shared the C-food Platter which was 28 dollars of Captain D's with some Hong Kong Super Buffet Crab Leg Cluster thrown in. My husband commented that he felt like he needed to take a shower when we left because he felt so greasy. The waitress messed up our ticket. My son got sick and had to eat crackers and drink ginger ale. I'm shocked people rate this place so high. I went to C Level for dinner and the food and waitress were great. As my wife and I were waiting on our check a Bus Boy ( Andrew) made it a point to come to our table and start a conversation which I thought was odd since bus boys are usually behind the scenes but hey what the heck we started talking to him but sadly it turned south very quickly and he started making racist comments at which time I point blank asked him if he was trying to make me angry and told him to leave my table. Another waitress heard what was going on and went to get a manager who came over to investigate the situation. I told what was going on and how I was trying not to make a scene inside the restaurant but most importantly I was trying to show some restraint by not beating the heck of him ( Andrew). The manager insured me that he would handle the situation appropriately at which time we paid our tab and left IMO a good tip for the waitress and departed the restaurant. Fast Forward two weeks my wife and I ran into the waitress ( now working at longhorns) that informed the manager of Andrew's behavior and she told us that the manager's way of taking care of the situation was to fire her because he considered her actions to be inciting the situation. So I asked if he had fired Andrew and was told he not only didn't get fired, but the manager placed no blame on him at all ( considered it to be a normal action for young adults in PCB). This is a casual beach restaurant with great food! We started with the grouper bites and the grouper and dipping sauce were both very tasty and cooked perfectly. Next, we had the Ribeye Steak and let me tell you, it was one of the best steaks that we have ever had! It was seasoned and cooked perfectly and the baby red potatoes served with it was also great! This is not a fancy place, but if you want fantastic food, you should give this place a try! This was a pretty bad experience this past week at C Level. First issue was it took over an hour and 20 minutes to get our food and they were missing a meal which took another 20 minutes to get out. There were only 4 other tables seated in the restaurant and they couldn't get it right. Second issue was we didn't even get a courtesy "I'm sorry" from the manager who was no where to be found. Third issue was the food was average at best. I felt for the server because he was working hard to try hurry up the order, but whoever was running the kitchen was in no hurry. We go to the Seaside area every year and usually do a day in Panama City with the kids, but I can guarantee we will not go to C Level again nor tell our friends to go there. We were able to get the last table. We were excited to eat here because of the reviews here. We were disappointed. The mixed drinks were not good, I tried the pineapple and raspberry margarita, neither were all that. My friend had to send her Long Island back and it still wasn't very good. We waited an hour for the food and it did not live up to the reviews left here. However, my husband had the prime rib and it was good. The Russian and other Russian speakers were doing lots of vodka shots and getting down on the dance floor big time, they love to party and were a highly photogenic group of people! The DJ was playing a good mix of pop, top 40, R&B, and techno.. The food menu is quite large and they serve food until late, I tried the seafood gumbo, it was excellent!! (I used to live in Louisiana so I know gumbo..) Bartenders were very attentive. I love this place! It is a little ways down the road from the main PCB nightlife area (where Club La Vela, Spinnakers, and Coyote Ugly are..) but well worth it!! The environment felt remiscient of a dark alley, dank and slightly moist; needless to say, this made me uncomfortable. But with the little hope I had left, I ordered my fried pb&j sandwich. After waiting longer than was acceptable, I received my order and took the first bite. It was indescribably disgusting, a river of grease flooded into my mouth with the fish batter-infused bread.
