At the time of writing this, I am a CFI student. Part of the requirements for CFI is spin training. I spent a lot of time calling different flight schools and researching my best options. Many places aren't willing, or if they do, they will send you out with someone who is still wet behind the ears. I have no problem with new CFI's, considering that I'm working to become one. For something as serious as spin training, I would seek out someone with a lifetime of experience, and that's exactly what I got at CP. I took the Emergency Maneuvers course offered by CP, which also gets you that precious spin endorsement, and it was absolutely money well spent. I would recommend any aviator this course because it could save your life. Practicing spins over multiple lessons over multiple days really helps build that muscle memory. Aviation skills atrophy with time, so I plan on coming back to keep my spin recovery adequate, and CP seems like a great place to get a tailwheel endorsement as well. I commuted 100mi each way to KSZP, and CP was great at being flexible to get the most out of each trip. Thank you so much, CP and instructor Mark!

This was my first flight lesson with CP Aviation. The school emphasizes safety and education on instrument and flight dynamics.

Great flight school. Connor Philpott is a very professional flight instructor. Airport is usually not busy unlike Camarillo.

We went here for my brother's 16th celebration…read more We had an amazing time. His instructor was Blake Phillips and we ended up on the Cessna 172S. The process of ordering the one hour demo package was very easy and straightforward. The website was super easy to navigate, and the staff was always super friendly on the phone. We were asked to arrive 15 minutes early to complete complete paperwork and that process went very smoothly. The only issue that we had was parking but since we got there early, we still got there on time. Blake was an amazing instructor and explained everything very thoroughly as well as interactively. I appreciated that he asked my brother about his interest in plains because he was able to incorporate specific topics that chained to my brother's interest in flight school. He was able to answer all of our questions and never felt like he was rushing. The flight itself was great. Blake made it clear that my brother would be able to actually fly and he would step in as needed. We had a one hour flight in Long Beach, where he explained air, flow manipulation, and aerodynamic very well to an understandable level. He was able to effectively communicate all of the factors that make a plane fly without being overwhelming. The aircraft was well kept, clean, and the views were great. We both throughly felt safe the whole duration of the flight, even with the stronger winds. Once we got back, he provided us resources for my brother in case he wanted to pursue flight school, as well as provided us with the foot footage taken during the flight. All in all, my brother and I loved the experience. The website is easy to navigate, the building itself was clean and easy to find, and Blake was the perfect balance of teaching, safety, and making the most of the package. I highly recommend :) thank you again

My instructor, Jackie Peterson, is exceptional. She earned her B.S. in Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and her knowledge, professionalism, and passion for teaching show in every lesson. She is organized, patient, and thorough. Jackie doesn't just teach you how to fly; she makes sure you understand why you're doing everything, both in the air and during ground instruction. She explains complex concepts clearly and genuinely wants her students to succeed. When I told Jackie my goal was to fly 4-5 days a week so I could earn my private pilot certificate as efficiently as possible, she made it happen. She keeps me on schedule, sends reminders, and has gone out of her way to reserve the Cessna 172 G1000 aircraft for my training whenever possible. That dedication has made a tremendous difference in my progress. I also want to recognize Denise in the front office. She is the backbone of the operation, always friendly, professional, organized, and helpful. Whether I'm calling with a scheduling question or need help with paperwork, Denise handles everything quickly and with a smile. Great customer service like hers makes a huge difference. The entire school is first-class. The aircraft are clean and well maintained, the instructors are knowledgeable and supportive, and the operation is run professionally from top to bottom. Pacific Air is clearly committed to providing a safe, high-quality learning environment. I'm currently working toward my Private Pilot Certificate, and there's no question I'll be staying here for my Instrument Rating and Commercial Pilot Certificate. Choosing Pacific Air has been one of my best decisions. If you're looking for a flight school that truly invests in your success, I wholeheartedly recommend Pacific Air Flight School, Jackie Peterson, and the entire team. You won't be disappointed, and I can't imagine a better place to train.

Recently, I decided it was finally time to see whether learning to fly was something I wanted to pursue, so I booked a discovery flight with Essence Flight School. It was an incredible experience! My instructor was knowledgeable, patient, engaging, and made the entire flight both fun and educational. I had the opportunity to learn some basic maneuvers, including making left and right turns, performing a 360-degree turn, maintaining straight-and-level flight, and getting a feel for the aircraft controls. It was such a unique and rewarding experience. If you've ever been curious about flying, I highly recommend scheduling a discovery flight. It's the perfect way to see if aviation is right for you. I'll definitely be back to learn more about earning my pilot's license. Thank you to my instructor and everyone at Essence Flight School for making my first flight such a memorable one!

(Here is the reason's why) I never been in person to this place. And I called them and let them know about my weight cause I know with Cessna 172 , it is going to be tight since I am 6'3" with 280 pounds,Tall and big guy. But he told me I am over weight (which probably I am) and it is impossible for me so he said I have to choose multi engine to be able to lift me which is 500 $ for me. No way I am paying for 60 minutes discovery flight. So, I asked him if I sign up as a student, how do I able to learn an aircraft an he said I have to pay extra 20 k since I need a bigger airplane. Feels really insulted on the last question. So if you are a big guy then this is really not a best option cause they don't find a solution for you with care. And even in my mind, if the discovery flight goes well and the vibes of the school was good, I was going to sign up as a student for PPL program and now their first impression on me was really trash and I am disappointed.
