I brought my car in for an oil change and breaks. I supplied the oil and filter and told the owner Charlie that the routers are in the back of the SUV. Picked up my car assuming the job was complete. Went to the grocery store, opened the back to see my hardware still in the box. Long and short Charlie wouldn't own his wrong and wanted another 100 bucks to make it right. I have inbthe past sent referrals but will never do that as well as my business is gone. I took my keys and will have the work done elsewhere. As an added touch.. oily hand prints all over my car. Unfortunately I will never bring my cars around here again! Nobody was helpful even when I came back with huge problems. They first put the wrong tires on my new car, too small, and then they didn't even "attach" the wheel to the rim the right way. Before I even got home my car is flashing warnings to pull over immediately. TIRES ARE ALMOST COMPLETELY FLAT WHEN I GOT HOME DRAINED 35PSI. NOT EVEN CLOSE TO ENOUGH BEAD SEALER! Cj and the lady both acknowledge they were the wrong tires and still put them on. The store was closing before i got there so i couldn't go back the same day. DAY LATER, I go back and Cj SAME GUY asked what's up I told him, and he did not come back to help the rest of the time. He told me he was busy and he would be with me, 10-15 minutes some other guys comes up and asked me whats going on. I request my tires from yesterday to be put back on. Xyz. They tell me I "wasnt here yesterday" and i was earlier the week so the tires are already gone. EVENTUALLY the tires are found. Told it would take 30 minutes, was there over an hour. I came in because I had a flat tire, I had two nails in the tire, Tried to sell me a new tire of course even though there's nothing wrong with my tire otherwise. At first he told me the patch would run $45 so I asked the price of a used tire which she did not have any when I said forget it and I was going to leave he then told me he could do the two patches for $35 and I said no and I was going to leave then he said he could do both batches for $25 and then he would be done in 15 minutes, an hour and a half later he was done. Drove home and when I left for work in the morning I had a flat tire. When I went back to the shop they said I had another nail in my tire and it would be $10 to fix. The guy that was there this time name was Charlie- very shady and would not give me a receipt. Sure he took my $10 and pocket it. Update to review*** owner called and apologized about the employee and said he's old and doesn't know how to work computer to print receipt- let him know it reflects bad on the company and I felt as he was cheating the company and stealing. Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for a flat tire with a nail in it. The tech met us at the car, took the flat, and sent us into the office to talk to the owner. The owner told us it would take 15 minutes, and he gave us bottled water while we waited. He said he took over the place from his uncle 8 months ago and remodeled everything. They had the tire patched and put back on the car in, yes, 15 minutes. Also interesting, they have a large warehouse area full of tires as well as cool (very well priced) rims. Got a flat tire the other day. As with any outdoor activity in Florida, I was drenched in sweat after changing the tire in the worst heat of the afternoon. I brought my tire in, handed it off and drove my car with the crazy donut spare tire to get a smothie while they worked. About 15 minutes later, I picked up tire and it was as good as new. They even put the tire back on for me which saved me the time and sweat for no extra charge. I am a retired professional auto service technician with over 45 years experience working for independent repair, tire shops and new car dealers in the Tampa area. I saw their bait and switch sign advertising a $49 alignment and decided just for laughs to see how bad these guys really are My suspicions were correct and I was not disappointed ! The work I requested was the wheel alignment. The young man that put my car on the alignment rack was talking on his private phone when I arrived and kept getting calls the whole time he was working on it. I watched as he set the alignment rack up and went thru the steps to perform the job and was done in less than 15 minutes but he did not adjust the camber on the front wheels which was very grossly out of factory spec's. He only adjusted the toe inn and removed the car from the rack and returned the key to me where I asked him if he had checked the camber and caster and he said it was a little off but would be alright I pointed out that one front tire was still very crooked and still needed the proper adjustment. He put the car back on the rack and did the alignment over and this time he did the whole process of checking and adjusting the camber correctly. He finished the job this time in about another 20 minutes and removed the car from the rack and handed my key back. I went into the office and spoke with an Asian gentleman who said the price was x dollars which was more than the price listed on the wall price list . I paid him and he took my money and did not give me a receipt. I had to ask for one and was given a crude non detailed price with no explanation of what the charges were for. I paid him and smiled and GOT THE HELL OUT OF THERE ! Update 06/26/2019: They placed a 205/55r/16 instead of the requested 215 55 16 on my car. That's not even the main issue. The issues is that a tire sold to me on a Saturday shreds that following Monday and no replacement is garbage. When I got there the guy points toa dry erase board that says they dont stand behind the tires they sell. $45 I paid and all of a sudden it wasn't for a new tire, or even the right size. The Asian dude I bought it from told me in his garbage broken English that it was new. I wouldn't have paid $45 for a used tire. Minus the labor cost Tires Plus has $45 new tires. Spread the word. I'm off to Yelp next. Purchased a Groupon for an alignment... Yurns out I was in dire need of at least one new tire. Paid $45 for a tire that blew in less than 40 miles, and at 530a on the way to work no less. Now I cannot get the shop on the phone. Finally left a voicemail. I'll update this review 1 star if they at least answer the phone. More of course if they give me a suitable replacement, or refund. Still pissed I have to use 1 of 2 remaining AAA Plus roadside service calls, and likely the other to get it to their shop. Awesome... read more

To all car owners considering C&P Automotive at 12735 Starkey Road, please read this for your own safety and my peace of mind. I met with the owner, Charlie, who told me they could do it all. I was there for installation of new custom wheels and tires. I was told it would take about 2 hours to remove my current tires and rims and install the new ones. I was there from 1:45pm when I was scheduled, until after 6:00pm when the tire person goes home. When I first got there, his regular tire person had to leave for an emergency, so Charlie called his other shop on 66thStreet so I had to wait another hour. When the tire person got there, he began working on jobs that had came in after my scheduled one. When he finally did get back to my car, they had taken so long that it was close to 5:00, and he did not have the lug nuts for the set of tires I bought. So, I had to put my old lug nuts to get home and return the next day after they finally found the correct set to have them put on around 2:30pm. I was heading off to Orlando for a car/truck show. When I took off from my home, I felt the truck was a little shaky. On the way home from the show, it got much worse, to the point I had to get into the slow lane on I275 and reduce my speed. When I got home, I found my wheel weights laying in my driveway from where they fell off as I was leaving, and I did not see them. I took the truck to my mechanic to get tires rebalanced (another charge out of my wallet for something that should not have happened.) While my mechanic was inspecting the tires and replacing the balance weights, he found lug nuts were loose on all 4 tires. C&P Automotive had tightened them with a cordless drill. I was advised a cordless drill would never provide enough torque to keep them on tight, and we were lucky we had not had a serious wreck since they were so loose. Also, when I got paperwork from the finance company, I found I had not had the amount agreed on for my old tires deducted (as promised). Unfortunately, I had already signed the agreement electronically, so I am responsible for the full amount. I received very poor and inadequate service from this company and would not recommend them to anybody. read more

I just want to hopefully save somebody else from this terrible experience all I did was take my car in to get the wheels balanced that is like the most simple thing that you can have done I noticed shaking when I left so I thought it needed to be aligned went and had it aligned.. didn't solve the problem.. Took it to a reputable place and they said it was the worst balancing job they had ever seen, they positioned the tires wrong they overinflated them they added new weights to old weights didn't put any weights on one it was just terrible you would think that if I called the owner and explain the situation I can get a refund while he explains there is no refund and I should've brought it back there why would I bring back a car that you guys totally messed up the first time no I would like it done correctly. Thank God I use capital one and they have their customers back for shady businesses like this I was able to Dispute the case and get a refund through my credit card company thank God stay away from this place read more

No, no, no. I had an appointment for a $34 Groupon 4 wheel alignment and two tires. I was going to leave my car and come back afterwards. Shop was so sketchy pulling in that neither my wife or I felt safe doing that. Then, I was quoted $250 dollars for two Taiwan (Cosmo) made tires ($48 at Walmart) and a $34 alignment. Should have been well under $200. I let the serviceman know the retail value of the tires at Walmart and he suggested I go there. So, I did. Walmart installed two Douglas Pro tires and an oil change for $186. No haggling and I felt safe leaving my car for the day. I may be a new resident of Florida but I wasn't born yesterday. Sucks they felt they needed to try to rip me and my family off, cause they could have had a lifelong family of customers. Still in search of an honest shop to perform routine maintenance. read more

if youre a car enthusiast or a racecar driver with specific alignment needs, i suggest you look somewhere else. They refused to align my car as per my specific alignment request. I got a deal on groupon for a wheel alignment. when i arrived, i told them i specifically wanted 0 toe, 0 caster and max out the negative camber. they refused to do it because it was "dangerous." heres what they dont know. this isnt the first time i have custom wheels and on my vehicles. i have a custom set of wheels and tires on my daily driver lexus. (19x8.5 +22 size wheels). when i had them installed a year ago i maxed out at -1.8 camber on front and -2.0 on rears. tires DO NOT show camber wear that fast with these values. its a combination of bad TOE with camber that ruin tires. my weekend vehicle is a subaru wrx sti with 18x9.5 wheels are sitting at -2.5 camber. ive had both my cars fender rolled, lowered with springs and coilovers to have my custom wheels fit. not a single problem for both. reason why i wanted an alignment on my daily vehicle is because i have not gotten one since i moved down here and i was experiencing vibration at high speeds. wheel balancing was next but pretty sure its my alignment as my steering wheel is not fully straight. so if youre a motorsports guy like me who races their vehicle or just want a custom set of wheels without looking ridiculous, stretched tires or even custom alignment numbers for that hella flush car show look, go somewhere else. Cliffnotes: negative camber especially small values like -1.0 to -2.0 does not ruin tires faster than bad toe alignments. read more

Went in to get a price on four brand new tires and left a deposit. There was a bit of a mix-up where they received the wrong tires and I was a little upset because I hadn't gotten a call. However after I went down to talk to Charlie the owner he ended up being a very nice gentleman and went above and beyond to make sure that I was taken care of. Originally I was frustrated and wanted to get my deposit back but after talking to him he was determined to make sure that I was a happy customer. Not only did he get the situation straightened out with the wrong tires he got the work done as quickly as possible took care of everything and even threw in a free alignment for the major inconvenience. I do have to say that I highly recommend going to C & P. I will be returning there for other vehicle needs as they do have a full auto repair shop in Pinellas Park and recommend this place for anyone that needs tires or other work done. Integrity is a very big issue when dealing with mechanics these days but C & P definitely showed to have integrity and genuinely cared for my needs. read more

I had them put on four new tires and align my truck. They didn't even balance or align the tires correctly. I took it back to them because it was shaking and they said it was a mechanical issue. I took my truck to a mechanic and they just re balanced and aligned the tires and now it's fine. They wouldn't compensate me for anything. Worst company ever. read more

Ugh. I arrived on time for my appointment (which is required for all groupon's). They have a few bays in a warehouse/industrial complex, so even though it is well marked, I wasn't sure which door was the office/waiting area. Because of this, I stood in front of one of the bays near where I had parked and where they were working. Despite making eye contact with all three people working there, I was not acknowledged for close to five minutes. Even though I had an appointment, it took them 35 minutes to pull my car into the bay. Not a single update, explanation, or apology. Then there was an attempted hard-sell to get my headlights cleaned which I declined. When they were finally done I asked for a before/after printout, like I've always received at literally every other alignment I've ever had done anywhere. They claimed they didn't have one and told me I should have asked for them to do one before they got started, but it's okay, because they had made my car "like new" again and because "the steering wheel is straight now." Surprise, surprise, it's straighter, but not straight. They messed with all of my seat settings, and steering wheel height (thanks for that...), and the car still pulls when driving. Your experience may vary, and I hope for your sake that it does, but personally I will never return to this place. Total frustrating waste of an hour of my life that I'll never get back. read more
