We were up in the Okemo area from NYC and by virtue of the combined stupidity of my decision making…read moreand GPS I ended up on a small snow covered road. I will spare you the inconsequential details but I got stuck in a ditch. While the effort of Killing Auto was not discount, not one dollar of it was regrettable. Corey and Dana worked very hard and safely and meticulously to get my car out a) to my amazement and pleasure and b) without damaging a hair on the car or their equipment. They worked tirelessly in snow, in snow banks, in a brook and while largely being reassuring and. Not chastising me for one of the closest Michael Scott driving moments of my life. If you ever have the opportunity to test this theory, I strongly recommend you plow your car into a snow bank so you too might have the same positive experience of working with these fine folks when you have no other option and are 300 miles from your home and fronds!!!

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT GO TO THEM AT ALL!!…read more They will try very hard to get as much money as they can from you and delay fixing your car as long as possible so you'll have to pay even more to rush for NO REASON! We decided to visit Vermont for a few days and on the way there, our car had issues on a Friday night, so we went to their shop Saturday morning and then Sheila the 'owner' of the garage who also said it wasn't an auto repair shop when it CLEARLY states it on their yelp page so Sheila you should update that before giving people the wrong idea. Anyways, we dropped off the car in the lot Saturday morning because Sheila told us to , so the mechanic can look at it 'if' they come to take a look and will update us. Later that day, they told us that the mechanic won't be in until Sunday. They examined it Sunday morning and apparently charge $95 an hour for labor but all they've done is a diagnostic which apparently took 2-3 hrs which is ridiculous! The diagnostic fee should be 1 flat rate and after speaking to Sheila on the phone, simply wanting to know some answers about the situation, Sheila rudely hung up before finishing answering my questions -- she was extremely unprofessional and rude! Even if you are annoyed , we only wanted answers & we were not being rude and just wanted to know the status and price, WHICH ANYONE WOULD DO, you cannot just hang up on a paying customer! Sunday afternoon, the mechanic called and told us that he will need to get the parts which is understandable since a couple others said the same thing BUT he wasn't going to get the parts until Monday morning! Also, the garage is very shady, Sheila starts telling me that they aren't an auto repair shop -- you have a big sign outside your garage that says Auto Repair, your business card says Auto Repair, you have a lot with cars and men working on cars...if you're not an auto repair shop then what are you?? On Monday morning, my friends and I physically went to the garage to see what's going on , the head mechanic said he found a ton of problems and would take at least a week to get fixed BUT knowing mechanics and since we weren't from Vermont , it would have been easy for them to cause problems or tack on more cash to leave it there to fix the car so we decided to just tow the car with a u haul truck back to NYC because the garage spent 3 days 'inspecting' and charged $300+ and didn't even fix it! They got the new parts and put them in for us but after we hauled it back to NYC, it wouldn't turn on! They bought the parts but didn't actually fix it! ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RISK GOING HERE! I know it's hard because there aren't that many auto repair shops around but it's better to find a decent one that's further out than go here! They have low ratings for a reason! Do not trust them!! DO NOT GO!

Our van slid off our driveway, and AAA called Jags. Jags showed up several hours after AAA said…read morethey'd arrive, without contacting us. They were unable to pull our van out, and said they'd be back the following morning with a wrecker, with no qualifications. When Jags did in fact not return the following morning, we followed up and were told they would not come back until we sanded the driveway. We'd not been told about this requirement but had it done in 30min. When we called back, we were told they would come back that day. After many follow ups to Jags, always committing to return, we went to bed with our stuck van and no word from Jags. Day three began again, calling Jags. They were surprised that despite committing continually that they'd return, that we hadn't found someone else to pull us out. Said they'd be back sometime that day. At this point we called AAA asking for another vendor to help us. AAA called Jags anyways, and he refused the job, but again, no word to us from Jags that they wouldn't be coming. Glad we had food, as we were housebound for three days due to Jags. Never again.

Dropped my Suburban off with an initial price of $5500 for bodywork and paint. Went through three…read moreengines from this shop!!! Got truck back after he called me for payment over the phone (big mistake) and it's HORRENDOUS! Paid him $9,081.93 ($6,745 bodywork and paint -includes his cc fees and $2,336.93 includes his cc fees for engine work!) Picked up truck was horrified at bodywork. He sent pics from a distance which looked amazing but when you see it up close weld marks are visible where patches were done, seams rusting, exposed bondo, no paint on roof, excessive drip marks etc! Any professional after putting primer on and seeing these flaws would have NEVER painted it! To top it off, there are paint boogers all over truck and excessive drop marks!!! When we picked the truck up not only were we mortified at the bodywork and paint but the Truck didn't start!!! After his instructions of telling us it's our "ignition switch" and to "nail the pedal down to get it started" we drove back to NJ which was HORRIBLY. Called him several times. He initially said he would come pick it up w his flatbed tow and fix it (He's a Tow guy). He said repeatedly when we initially seen it, that if we're not happy he'll gladly strip it and redo it! A few days into back and forth calls and texts He decided to hang up and never return a call! We were scammed That's the bottom line. He had our Truck from January 1 through May 15!! He was going through a rough time w a forked passing away and had a bad accident so we cut him a break on timeframe . But instead of doing the job correctly he decided to do a rush Job. He does social media posts lying to his "cheerleaders" (FB friends) who he manipulates and lies to - while not giving them true facts or costs! Jason Gagnon is a fraud and a pathological liar!! My Truck is at a shop in NJ within 10 days of picking up from his shop. Found EXCESSIVE amounts of GAS in oil! Any mechanic knows what that means as the gas wore out my engine components - it's junk now!! We now need ANOTHER engine from his incompetence. The bodywork and paint need to be redone! RUN FROM THIS GUY! We initially met him by getting a couple of tows as we are Vermont seasonals. He talks a good talk and we befriended him. As soon as he got nearly $10K out of us and scammed, he has ignored us and left us with a terrible mess and a costly one! We asked him for for a fair settlement of $8,100 because he had paint costs - so we can pay another mechanic for engine pull and install ($2500) and so we can get our bodywork and paint fixed! He's refusing. Unfortunately we will be left w no choice but to hire an attorney. Stay away!!!

I would give them no stars if I could…read more I called them and told them my tire was flat, asked if they could check for a leak and if they could plug a tire. They said yes. After dropping the car off I received a call about an hour later telling me that they couldn't find anything wrong with it,but because it was "driven flat" it need to be swapped. He charge a fee for looking at my tire. I drove it to my dad's house, we took the tire off and found a nail sticking out of it. My dad plugged the tire. The next day I went back and showed him the photo of the nail and the tire that we plugged. I asked him if he looked at my tire considering the nail was sticking up in the middle and I wouldn't have driven off with it in there. He started to tell me he took my tire off ( I have a security bolt and he never called to ask me where my wheel lock was to take the tire off) he originally told me he didn't find a leak, but when I showed him the photo of the nail, he then went on to say that he didn't want to pull the nail because then I wouldn't be able to drive home, I asked him why he didn't plug it and he told me because he would be liable. So end of story he called to tell me there was nothing in my tire, when he knew there was a nail, didn't plug it because he didn't want to be liable even though when I called and asked if they plugged tires they said yes. He refused to return my money. They are dirty crooks at Rutland Autoworks and I'm thankful I didn't get any serious service done by them
