I have been going to Dr. Caban for over 20 or 25 years. He was fairly new in town, but was able to handle a surgery that my current dermatologist could not. Dr. Caban was easy to talk to and explained everything well. He was quick to see you, but also spent extra time to make sure you understand every thing going on and treatment options. Over the next 10 to 15 years, Dr. Caban took great care of my many bouts with basal and squamous cell cancer. He was always caring and efficient. Fast forward the next 15 years. Dr. Cabans office has become a revolving door of patients, except it takes 2 to 2.5 hours to get in the que. Once in the back you going to wait another 45 minutes to an hour before he actually comes in. I believe he completely double books his patient load. After a quick hello, he goes into fast forward. Asking what the issue is and then a very fast check. He orders cryo or a couple of biopsies and the exits as quickly as he comes in. Days that are scheduled for surgery for positive biopsies are much longer. I've spent 7 hours there for a single Moe's surgery. It's not the surgery that takes so long, it the waiting to get called back and waiting to get prepped and than waiting to start. One time he arrived almost 3 hours after my appointment time. None of his staff were allowed to tell me that he wasn't even there yet. If you are wondering why I stayed so long it's because Dr. Caban is a very good dermatologist. I trust his diagnosis and I trust his ability to do surgery. I just wish he would stop all the side hustles and concentrate on what he does best - dermatology. Now I mostly see Jackie. She is friendly and to the point. I don't have to wait a long time for her. I have come to trust her diagnosis and recommendations, but still have to rely on the Dr. for surgery. read more

I was a first time patient and I wait 1 1/2 hour. The exam table did not have any sanitary paper cover. It look a little dirty I don't want to seat there. Then the doctor came it seems to be very nice and she started examining my back Loking for anything I she said that I need to have a byopsy on one of my freckles and said it will be $150. I said no today. I had an appointment with my primary doctor the next day and they said that was nothing that needs to be check. So be aware they also called me to confirm a follow up appointment that I never made. Be careful they like to at the the bill. read more

Wish I could give 0 stars, why do they schedule appointments when they clearly don't follow their schedule. Some of the worst scheduling logistics in the industry. What is really going on here? It took them well over an hour from my appointment time to be seen. Unacceptable. Reschedule your clients if you can't handle being open for business. I was a new patient, so paperwork needed to be filled out. I came in only for an initial exam. Appt was at 3pm. Arrived at 2:45. Filled out paperwork and was called back to a room around 3pm. Office assistant stuck her head in room at 4pm and said doctor would be there a few minutes. 4:20pm and still waiting..... Finally ended leaving at 430. Another woman next to me at check out said she had been here for an 1 1/2 for a 5 minute check up. Definitely would not recommend this physician to anyone. I wish I could give this physician lower than no stars. Very disappointed. read more

I have been going to this dermatologist for several years now at first they were fabulous, short wait times, friendly and helpful staff, knowledgeable and helpful dr. Now it's completely awful, long waits, no one returns calls, I was prescribed a medicine that cost $1000 and asked for a cheaper brand or alternative medicine several calls later still not call back or less expensive medicine. I am over this place and finding another one. read more

This rating is based only on the level of professionalism of office staff and physical space. Several employees dressed to casual, too short skirts. No one smiles or makes eye contact with patients. Took over an hour for office staff to realize they hadn't placed chart in the correct pile for patients to be seen. Waiting area too hot and a non neutral channel on TV plays inappropriate shows with adult content when there are children waiting with their parents. Professional offices should have cooking shows or DIY shows, neutral, instead of trash tv. Dirty pillows in room! read more

This review is for Jacqueline O'Donnell who is not the doctor but the nurse practitioner that I was forced to see. I originally had an appointment with the doctor but doc doc Emailed me saying I'll have to see a nurse practitioner.. I figured it wouldn't be a big deal since I was just going in to get a routine refill on a prescription that my dermatologist back home prescribed me. So to set the stage, when I met nurse odennell she didn't even make eye contact with me or introduce herself before she was touching my facing roughly and lifting my shirt to look at my back . It was uncomfortable to say the least . I explained to her that over the years I've tried everything for my adult acne but the only thing that has been working these past few months is a a very common prescription used to treat adult acne along with being a mild diaretic. I told the nurse this and asked if she was able to prescribe me the same thing to which she basically said she won't because she doesn't want to and gave no further exclamation. I explained to her that over the years topical creams and antibiotics have not helped and that I prefer to treat the source of the problem rather then the symptoms which would be acne flair ups but she still refused and told me that I should see a gynecologist which makes absolutely no sense because the acne is on my face not in my pants . anyway she was extremely rude and disconnected from everything I had to say and was clearly pissed off that I challenged her methods . She did a lot of hard staring at me ( as if I'd get intimidated ) and a lot of rolling her eyes which is just childish. I won't EVER be going back to that trash bag place again read more

I went to this office because they were in-network for our insurance, but also because it wasn't a two month wait. There is a reason for this, because nobody returns to this office for additional appointments. I had some biopsies done back in July & was told to come in for a follow-up appointment in two weeks. I made the follow-up appointment before leaving the office & canceled a few days later, due to a scheduling conflict. I called the office almost a month after my first appointment to see if the results for my biopsies were in yet & was told they were not. I called back another entire month later & was told that the nurse would call me back after she took my information with the results because she had to find my chart. Here we are, three weeks after that & I was the one that called THE OFFICE BACK & the receptionist told me that I could not have my results unless I made an appointment (& had to pay a copay) for them & that they only called patients back when there was something urgent. Okay, so not only does the office staff at this office not do anything like calling patients back, handling paperwork in a timely manner or using basic phone etiquette, they hold your information & results hostage & refuse to give you any information over the phone, even though you would never return to an office that is run so terribly. Also, during this phone conversation with the rude office lady, she yelled into the phone while I was trying to tell her why I was calling, because she was trying to get the attention of the mail man & not only did she scream into my ear, she wasn't listening to what I was saying anyway & then returned to our conversation & asked me what I wanted? I will never return to this office & I will have my primary doctor request my medical records from this office since dealing with them directly is not something that can be done. read more

We were hired to do a job for this company, a bee removal. This consisted of us removing 50,000 bees out of the trunk of their tree back in JULY. It is now October 19. I have been trying to get paid from the owner Anna Marie Caban since July. Our invoices are due on receipt. When I called to speak to her for the 5th time trying to get payment I got threatened with a lawyer. IF YOU ARE A COMPANY DOING WORK FOR THEM BEWARE AS YOU WILL NOT GET PAID!!!!! I am not usually one to post reviews of places, but with the experience I have had at this office, I would suggest that you do not use this dermatologist. They are friendly the first visit and then after that, they are all about the money. I spent two weeks trying to get ahold of someone in the office to solve a billing issue and am still waiting to have it resolved. I was on the phone with Dr. Caban's wife trying to work on having the issue resolved and she couldn't answer my question so said "you can call me some other time, thank you" and hung up. I was very unhappy with the level of service I received. I made the appointment over the phone and explained the services I required. I was told I needed a consultation and they only did that type of consultation on Mondays. When we checked in upon arrival, I was told that they could go ahead and do the procedure. Ummm... I don't think so! Not without a consultation. Their response was we don't do the consultations at this time, but they may be able to make an exception. They confirmed that they would go ahead and do the consult and to have a seat. I had an appointment for my daughter at 3:30 and by 5:30 we were still waiting. The first time I went up to the front desk to see why it was taking so long I was told there were three people ahead of us. An hour and a half later, the response was that everyone was waiting and they could not tell me when she would be seen. Unacceptable and totally unprofessional. I would not recommend this office to ANYONE! read more
