Great golf course (great design and challenging greens), pool and tennis facilities. Highly recommended for families.

I got to play Trump Charlotte yesterday as a guest of a good friend of mine. It has been a few…read moreyears since I have played it. The golf course is the best shape of all the times I have played it. The new Champion Bermuda greens were quick, firm and green, all of what you should expect from well-kept bermuda greens. The rest of the golf course is in perfect shape. The tee boxes were a little high for my liking, but that's not a problem at all. After the round, we had drinks and snackies in one of the private rooms connected to the grill. The food is unbelievable. We had cheeseburger sliders, chicken wings, a delicious cheese plate, and the best chicken empanadas I have ever had. The cocktails were strong and tasty. All in all, it was a great day at Trump. The facility is the best in the area without a doubt. I get to play at a lot of high-end private clubs, and Trump is second to none.

It's Trump Time and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The course is first class. Fantastic conditions were…read morepresented by the grounds superintendent and their staff. For our round, the weather was perfect. The staff is so friendly. We all had to go into the pro shop to secure Trump merchandise so that we can flaunt it at our own clubs. Hopefully I can secure another guest spot to play this challenging golf course. Till next time....

This course is #3 on the B-Man's guide to the top 10 Charlotte area golf courses. It's a good course but a #3 seems overrated to me. Understanding it's February so granted, not ideal conditions. Still a problem when you have more than half an entire green surface under repair. You get only one Par 3 on the front and two on the back. The fairways are wide open and forgiving. The tee boxes all in good repair. You get the computerized electric golf carts. The check-in and Staff was smooth and everyone was nice. The bar/restaurant experience was good. As a Senior golfer, you get considerable tee advantage on most all of the holes. There is water but it doesn't come into play. They had patrolling Ranger maintaining pace of play. It is literally right adjacent to the Speedway. On several holes, you can see the Grandstands. I think you want to avoid this place on race day.

A really nice course at a very surprising location. Wedged in between the Charlotte raceway and the…read moredrag strips. This public course played with a strong longer fri t nine and the back nine was spotted with some Interesting doglegs and short par fours. Only other gripe I had was that some of the tee boxes were pretty beaten up. Not surprising since this was a public course. But all in all a very enjoyable round.

I've been a boater for over 20 years, and have had the pleasure of belonging to some of the nicest…read moreyacht clubs on the Great Lakes. One of the main highlights these yacht clubs all share is the quality and high level staff and management to make your visit memorable. Well, unfortunately this isn't something the Peninsula Yacht Club shares with them. I've recent resigned my membership and have shipped my boat back to the service I'm accustom to on the Great Lakes. I've never experienced such poor leadership and management while paying for a membership in my 20+ years of boating. Let me begin by saying Kathee Dishner and her lack of visibility of being the General Manager at PYC and the fact she makes no effort getting to know her members is a disgrace to this yacht club and the paying members. She is 100% the reason I resigned after being a member for 5 years. Safe Harbor should be concerned and should reevaluate their choice in having her lead PYC if they are trying to retain members and grow their business. In January 2023 I witnessed Kathee Dishner and her staff engaged in a gross and inappropriate confrontation with multiple members in the lobby after these said members had a 20+ attendee surprise birthday party in their bar. Once again there was no appreciation displayed for our patronage and after this incident many of us never returned to use the amenities of the club. Secondly, I've never experienced the amount of employee turnover at a club that I have at PYC. This is a direct reflection of the poor management and their lack of appreciation for the young men and women who are there to service the PYC members. I do have to pay respect to Mr. Harry Smith who is the marina manager. He and his staff are clearly hands above the shining stars at PYC. They are always there to help in any fashion. Although, Safe Harbor has spent a massive amount of money updating and renovating their clubhouse there has been zero invested in the marina itself other than new gates that never work correctly. The docks themselves have structural issues, the electricity on M-Dock is far underpowered for the size and amount of boats and this has been brought to their attention with no concern. Every month your electric bill is incorrect and multiple customer boats have had electrical component failures due to poor power conditions. I would highly NOT recommend PYC if you are looking for a place that will provide you with great service where you are valued as a member.
