This store has everything you could want if you are the outdoorsy person. I came in here looking to make a pistol purchase. The staff was very nice. Everyone except for the guy who was going to perform my background check. I didn't know that you couldn't make out of state gun purchases, when you have a permit, but I digress! He made it seem like I was wasting his time from him coming out of the back, smh! The initial guy that I was working with was great! The Santa village set up on Black Friday was amazing!! There was no line, my kids walked right up. The Santa was super nice and kind, and my kids liked him. And we got a photo printed for free, plus a ton of kids craft activities! It was awesome. Well done to the team at this store. read more

I agree quality of clothing has gone down since the merger. A lot of junk in the walkways when I stopped into the Saginaw store and needed to use the bathroom. The cleaning guy stopped me and told me I couldn't use the room until he finished it, so staffing is poor, too. No reason to shop at Cabela's anymore and it's a shame-used to be a great store read more

I had bought a firearm online from Cabela's but when I went in to go pick it up was wasn't even acknowledged for atleast 15-20 minutes and when I was finally the dumbass employees said it will one moment like I wasn't even important and when one the employeeswas done he decided to legitimately skip over helping to help someone else who just came in. Overall poor service and dumbass employees who probably don't know what they are doing ! I will not ever shop here again and if you were smart you wouldn't shop here either read more

Went to the firearms department to purchase an AR15. When I got there, there two customers being helped. No one even looked at me or acknowledged I was standing there. I waited about ten minutes and still no one even made eye contact. Finally after about 15 minutes, one of the employees said they would be with me in a minute. Finally after twenty minutes I left. This is the second time I've been to a Cabela's and had crappy service in the firearms department. I am pretty sure they are not getting my business ever again. read more

Did not even get acknowledged by a single staff member. We came in to buy a fish finder. Not a cheap purchase. We will spend our money elsewhere where someone wants to take it. We did however buy a box of Girl Scout cookies from the cute kid in the foyer. She at least talked to us. read more

Restructuring a company doesn't mean to get rid of good workers, that's just plain stupidity! I don't know what it is but since the last year or so seems like everything in store has gone downhill I mean they do have good stuff but their prices are over market value sometimes when you can go to Amazon and find the same exact thing. It also seemed like sadly the place was much dirtier like a Kmart rather than an actual store. This stores salespeople are great for upselling a fishing reel but the selection of rods is very limited. The young clerk seemed to know an average amount about fishing but when I as a newbie to fishing, knows more - they are not knowledgeable about the products. I had a short shopping list from my husband for rubber lures and it turned into a store tour. I would hit a bigger store if it's available because Cabela's is usually outstanding. read more

This is a much smaller store than the Cabela's superstore down in southern Michigan in Dundee. However, this location is really nice and has an excellent fishing department. This store is well staffed and the staff who I came in contact with were very helpful. read more

I went to this cabelas to buy an ice auger that I saw in there ad. With the purchase of this particular auger the ad said u get a power head cover, minnow scooper, skimmer, and hand warmer and to see store for details. So I bought the auger and asked about the free stuff that was advertised to come with it. No one knew about it so they finally find the ad and see and told me they don't know and to get it of jiffys sight. I went on jiffy and nothing about it. So I call cabelas corporate office and explain the situation to them, they tell me they exhausted every option and cannot help me. So now I don't get any of the stuff they advertised I would. Bought a brand new 12' Jonboat from Cabelas, and when I put it in the water it had a bad leak. When I pulled it back out of the water, I found out that the seam weld had a spot where it was missing weld. Cabela's said they couldn't replace it, since I registered it in my name. To get it fixed, I would have to drive it 3 hours away to their Dundee store at my cost. read more

Cabela's has always been my definition of the ultimate stop for hunting and fishing and have never had an issue when I have shopped before. I have been a card member since 2013. I stopped in at the Saginaw location to purchase a new rifle and went to the Gun Counter and was greeted and helped and most of my questions were answered (I apologize as I cannot remember the associates name), it was a great experience as I am not that knowledgeable in this area. I purchased the TC Compass bolt action .308 and was told that even though they did not have it in stock there, I HAD to purchase it then in order to get the $50 rebate card that came with the purchase because the promo was expiring. My wife and I asked repeatedly if we were going to get this card the following weekend because we were going to buy some other things and wanted to put it towards that purchase. The associate assured us that it would be there. When I came in that following Saturday, the gun and the scope had come in, but not the rings to hold the gun in place. I was told that if I purchased another set of rings that the original purchase would then be refunded and put back on my card. After getting my gun with the scope mounted, I inquired about the $50 card that I was supposed to receive and was told that it was through Thompson Center and I would have to get it through them. So I never received the card from Cabela's that I was told I would if I purchased that gun right then and there. Going back to the rings, I was told that once they rings were received into stock, I would see the refund on my card and it would all be good. Now, 2 weeks after my purchase, I received a gift card for Cabela's only with the amount of the rings. This is NOT what I was told would happened. So I have now been told by two separate associates that I would be receiving something and neither have been true. This is unacceptable as this is about customer service and dealing with customer finances. I am so disappointed with my experience. read more

So this location is tiny in comparison to Dundee. I agree that you have to visit Dundee to get the whole experience. However, this location has a large selection of amo, large inventory of men's cowboy boots (only two women's styles), and all the clothing you would find at any other location. I do like the small size. Quick in and out (if you can get ur husband JUST in and out). Stopped in for amo, stayed an hour. read more

This is a smaller store compared to the dundee location but that's why its called Cabelas Outpost. Awesome customer service at the gun counter. The staff provided a weath of knowledge when purchased a over under shotgun in addition to all the research and reviews i did prior to going to this cabelas location. They also offer a military discount so i always stop here on my way up north. read more

I have shopped at many Cabela stores around the U. S. I have also shopped at this local store on multiple occasions. Yesterday was the worst experience at this location. Walked in and went to the knife counter to purchase a new Benchmade knife. There were three outfitters/sales persons at the knife counter however none could be bothered to acknowledge me or offer any assistance. They seemed to be too preoccupied with gossiping and bragging about how to delay his break to watch the 1st quarter of the U of M game and getting out early and complaining because someone asked about the military discount offered by Cabela's. As a retired Veteran with more than 25 years of service I felt some what annoyed that they would judge a veteran or the company policy. Walked away to pick up something for our four paws. Returned to the knife counter for another attempt to purchase a Griptillian or Barrage. Again ignored but the staff. Not a pleasant experience to say the least. read more

Great to have some big shops like cabelas around. Good products compare to regular stores. Bought couple products and love it! Little over prices but good quality stuff here. read more
