Surprisingly good hole in the wall place! Restaurant/bar. Outdoor seating with live music in the spring/summer. Prices are just right. Good beer selection and menu.

This is a pleasant find after walking the Rail Trail. We stopped for a Bavarian Pretzel which was authentic. As vegetarians were pleased to see cauliflower wings on the menu. They were very tasty and just the right amount of "hot". We sat outside and listened to the live music warmer up for I assume later that day. The waitress was also extremely attentive and sweet. The dogs were able to rest under the table before we walked the Trail back again. The combination made for a nice afternoon out.

We went here out of desperation given that it was the last day Rolling River Cafe was serving (Sun). While they have a great band playing and the waiter was extremely nice, there were too many negative points. One, the food quality itself is meh. My wife ordered the fish and chips and the fish was severely filled with old batter and you cannot even taste the fish anymore. It came out all charred. I got the dammburger which basically is a burger. It was tasty enough and cooked to my request, it was quite a small sized burger and the fries included were more on the lukewarm soggy side. Ugh. We did like the server's attitude but his service in itself was slow and it took forever for the food to come out considering our party was the only ones there. Not impressed at all.

We love it here and always visit when we are in the Catskills. They almost always have live music outside on their stage. The food is really good, especially the blackened salmon! We've also tried the fish tacos, burger, wings and fried Oreos and enjoyed them all. They have local brews and a full bar. Only downside is it takes a while to get your food!

After waiting almost 3 hours I get enchiladas that are hard as rocks and dried out. Never eat here!!!!!!!!

Terrible service and food. Cannot handle a crowd. Too many excuses. We were in town for an event and had 20 people. We let them know in advance we were coming. I waited almost 3 hours for my food and then I had to ask to have it packed to go. That took .5 hour and then it was not fit to eat.

My wife and I went in after walking on the rail trail and decided to have lunch. We were extremely happy with the atmosphere and the friendly service. The food was very tasty! We also checked out the dinner menu and will be heading back very soon.

Fried Pickles! So glad I 'went for them'...Yum!

It was ghastly. Food, service and entertainment was all lacking. Is this the best The Catskills has to offer? I hope not.

The hotel itself is cozy, full of charming little spaces, and we truly felt pampered throughout our stay. It's pet-friendly (huge plus!), and everyone was incredibly kind to my dog--he had the best time exploring the hiking trails with me. The vibe is very relaxed, peaceful, and the perfect place to disconnect from the world. Now for the real star of the show: the food. We did the tasting menu and it was so good. I loved the intention behind each dish and how they highlighted seasonal ingredients and the local farm sources. My personal favorites were the mushroom dish and the venison--both were phenomenal. The staff was warm, attentive, and did a great job walking us through each course. A few small observations: The dining room was a little too dark--I love seeing my food, especially when it's so beautifully presented. Since it was my birthday, I expected a bit more than a lone candle. No cookie, treat, or even a candle placed on top of dessert--it just didn't feel special. Dessert wasn't for me. It was somewhere between a milkshake and ice cream, but with a strange mochi-like texture and an overpowering amount of lavender. It felt like eating soap. The quail course tasted amazing, but the presentation wasn't appealing. It looked a bit messy, and leaving the head on (even though it wasn't edible) felt off. That said, everything was incredible--thoughtfully crafted, delicious, and visually stunning. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite and the whole experience. Highly recommend--can't wait to return!

My party of 4 was a little early, so we had a drink in the tavern downstairs first; bartender made a great whisky sour. For dinner, we did the a la carte menu. I tried: + Cabbage + Ricotta toast + Grilled broccoli + Mangalista pork chop + Ricotta dumpling + Cheeseburger + Spiced cake The highlights were the cabbage, pork chop and burger. Overall I thought the food was excellent, though I wished they offered sides (especially some type of a potato for the burger). Would have gladly paid for additional sides a la carte.

It was a Thursday so maybe things weren't as busy as normal but we showed up a little early and the back biergarten was open so we got some drinks as it was a nice spring afternoon. The bartender was very friendly and when we attempted to bring our drinks around front she let us know that we had to finish them first. The Venue itself reminded me a bit of the nearby Levon Helm studios in that it's an open space with a balcony overlooking everything and seating and standing room on the base floor. One thing I loved about this show is the sound was great. We sat stage left but the PA was subtly piping the DJ and guitar parts from stage right. It wasn't a huge crowd but people were having a good time with some standing room in front of the bar dancing etc. The bartenders were super attentive and responsive during the performance. I have been to Bearsville, Levon Helm and now Colony and I really feel lucky to have such intimate performance spaces somewhat locally. All of the staff were super friendly. Will be back for sure!

Bar was overflowed and took a long time to save everyone, I think no one expected the crowd of that size. Kitchen worked smoothly and food was bar quality but decent. We had a lot of fun and definitely will be back. I took away one star because of the luck of seating. Not enough tables or bar space or any kind of seating for everyone. Only about 50 people who got there at the opening had a chance to get a seat. Others like us lucked out and had to figure out how to eat without a table .

Well, the Ramble and I made that birthday great. It's an amazing show in an amazing venue. They call it The Barn for a reason. All wood everywhere, it's an intimate show with seats all around, above and behind the stage. Apparently Levon designed and acoustically engineered the space himself, and it shows; the sound quality is phenomenal in here. I think any act would sound good in here, but the Ramble blew my mind. The musicianship is incredible. You'll watch people swap guitars for keyboards for drums and show startling prowess on all of them. They brought in all sorts of friends including Graham Lesh and Twisted Pine (the excellent opening act), and literally everyone could play, and sing, and just rock. With some of Levon's family in the band, you'll hear them play his music with real feeling and emotion, and watch them have a great time doing it. I can't recommend this show enough, and I would certainly come back to the venue as well. Be aware that they don't sell drinks and food, which isn't the worst thing in the world because you could pour half a bottle of vodka into into a water bottle with some powdered grape kool-aid because that's all you had on hand, and have a great time. In theory, I mean.

But when I want to have an elevated experience with a nod to fine dining, this is my go-to. I always bring friends from out of town here and everyone is impressed. The bartenders make the best martinis and Manhattans you'll find, along with a seasonal cocktail menu that features something for everyone, including mocktails. When I don't want a full dining experience but the hubs and I have a babysitter, we like to sit at the bar for martinis and oysters - SO FRESH! If you don't do oysters, anything on the appetizers list is a wonderful light bite. I don't know what kind of magic the chef uses to make the salads but they are always simple, yet stunning. For dinner, the steak is hard to pass up if you eat red meat. I usually get the single serving NY strip, which is incredible. You can't go wrong. I'm excited to try the porterhouse for 2. My mollusk loving friend raved about the mussels and the fish selection is fantastic. I'm not a big dessert person, but splitting any of the desserts is a treat. Alternatively, the digestif selection doesn't disappoint. The bartenders and bar manager, Nick, are helpful in guiding your taste buds to the right choice. Bud, the owner, whose previous establishments can be read about in some respectfully placed articles around the restaurant, is always accommodating for the busiest place in town. It's nearly impossible to get a seat on Friday and Saturday nights from 6-9, but he will be honest and create a space at one of the little side bar areas if he can. The ambiance is sexy and sophisticated with a touch of whimsy. The toilet paper holder in the restroom always makes me smile (IYKYK). Having been to this restaurant many times, you'll start to see familiar faces as there is now a strong regular crowd. The community and connections that I've found while at Lyonshare have enhanced my experience of living in Beacon. Oh, last thing - brunch is a can't miss, must do culinary event.
