What a warm, cozy gem, made better by the lovely company of some locals we happened to sit next to and chat with. Food-wise, we had a wonderful dinner here - we ordered off the seasonal specials and were floored by each dish. We tried the soup of the day (Caribbean chicken soup), a beet & fennel salad, and a duck cassoulet. It's hard to believe we were able to try duck confit here in the Catskills! And it was so flavorful and delicious, we loved every single bite. I also tried their homemade tamarind soda and loved it. Very unassuming but delicious. Absolutely would love to come back again. After a long trek we found this cozy place for lunch. The restaurant ambiance was quite and had a nice background music which was pleasant to the ears. We ordered the mussels and fries, chicken wings, buffalo cauliflower dip and the chocolate espresso olive oil cake. Loved all the dishes, it was very flavourful, fresh and filling. As we were confused with placing the order our server was patient and helped us by suggesting dishes which were worth trying and we were very happy with the recommendations. We visited Mill & Main on a Saturday Mill & Main might have a lovely website, but Saturday night proved it's basically false advertising in menu form. We came as a party of five and were immediately informed -without so much as an apology - that eight items were unavailable. That's not "seasonal dining"; that's "half the kitchen called out." The dishes we did order showed up missing major components, like someone in the back was playing a game of "Guess What's Missing Tonight." And unless we pointed it out, no one offered to fix it, apparently the default is hope you don't notice. If you can't serve half your menu on a weekend, maybe close for a private event, or just be honest and hand out a laminated "what's actually available" sheet. At least then we'd know what we were paying for besides disappointment. read more

I had the best wangzzzz I've had in a long while here! They were cooked to perfection AND they were $1 an Happy Hour special. We also had meatballs and ricotta a cocktail and all of it was delicious! I'm really happy we found this spot as the service was excellent and everyone seemed like they could be your friend from high school! We ate in the backyard which was lovely grabbing a table in front where it was spacious and airy. We definitely will be back and recommend to others, I think this place is black owned too which is pretty dope. Go here!!! read more

Had a pretty good meal here! The food is definitely tasty and the service was also pretty good. We enjoyed our meal and tried a few things. The Burrata dish was good. The wagyu hot dog was a bit disappointing just the way it was served wasn't easy to eat. The vongole and the burger were both good! Ambiance is awesome! Love the space and the bar is nice. Four of us shared the Caribbean codfish, Island wings, Colombian Hot Dog sliders, Mill & Main burger, spagehtti vongole, and Ricaotta Cavatelli. I had a few basil berry brambles that were tasty and refreshing. Would deffinitely come here again to try more things. So far the hours are Thursday - Sunday 5-11PM. This place has a ton of potential. The good: the flavors were incredible. Really unique and so delicious. The cod fritters and wings were delicious, as was my trout with a limoncello sauce. Some of the best food I've had in the area. The less good: for a $200 meal (for 3 people!) being told to get your own water and silverware if you are sitting outside was disappointing. The place is also not consistent- my husband got a tamarind margarita after seeing mine, but his had a salt rim instead of a tamarind rim like mine, and his drink was noticeably different in color.our wings came with a yummy chimichurri like green sauce- the table next to us had a white Aioli based sauce. The market green salad was mostly radicchio and endive, both pretty bitter and something I believe should have been noted on the menu. The bad: my husbands oricehtte was totally over cooked. The pasta had been browned in the pan. Not good at all. But no one ever even asked how our meal was - we were just asked if we wanted a box (um, no). The owners who seemed to be greeting lots of guests never came to us to welcome us either. When we left no one said anything. Service was overall slow and spotty. read more

A Potemkin village, sadly. The food was terrible, with dishes missing items from their menu descriptions. The burrata special featured hard pucks of cheese, and unfathomably crunchy tomatoes and peaches--really no excuse for that in August. And there was not a bit of salt to be divined in the bowl. The meat in the burger was tasteless and grey; the patty looked as if it had been hesitantly cooked in a microwave, perhaps next door as the meat was carried elsewhere then assembled into the "burger". Sadly, the promised cheddar and bacon were perhaps forgotten next door as they did not arrive with said burger. The shishitos seemed to have been "blistered" the night before, as they had been rendered limp by microwaving to rewarm them. If there was a staff or equipment issue in the kitchen, they should have come clean. Charming space and the drinks menu seems on point, just don't go for the food. read more

Vongole, Vongole, Vongole!! Best spaghetti and clam sauce ever! (Except my Mom's)... OMG so good! Everything else on the menu is excellent! Cocktails are fantastic. More please! Been here three times in the last week and will be back again before we wrap up our trip. The menu is varied and everything is YUM -- halibut in coconut curry, beet/cucumber salad, mussels in saffron/sausage broth, sliders, chicken patty, arepa, pasta specials... it's all been phenomenal, with fun changes daily. I'm not a drinker but I can see how hospitable the staff is with drinks -- my mom wasn't sure what to order and Ryan described several wines and brought her some to try (who does that!), and a different day when I ordered an Arnold Palmer from John, he offered to make it better by adding mango -- it was great :) My kids eat everything on their plates and love the warmth of the place and the fact they can look through the cutout and wave to Chef Chris and his amazing mom Chef Claudia to thank them for our food. There's plenty to do nearby--rail trails, Lippman Park, Kelder's Farm, Skate Time, Accord Speedway--which makes it a great place to fuel up beforehand or wind down after! read more

I wish I had a better review because I live in the area and am a big advocate for new businesses in our little town. I have been to Mill & Main three times since they've opened and each time there was some sort of issue that left me feeling they are not in tune with their customers. Although the meals I've had there were delicious and unique, they seem to have trouble being consistent and the service was always very disappointing. My most recent experience was the worst yet, we were there for a rare mother/daughter brunch which we had been looking forward to and for which we had reservations. There were a few other tables inside and the outdoor seating area was fairly full. Once we sat (inside) it was a good 10-15 minutes before anyone came to our table. When the server finally came to take our drink order, she told us that the chef said our wait time for food would be 45 minutes, although we had yet to even read the menu. The drinks took another 15-20 minutes to get to our table. Not once while waiting, or after getting our drinks did a server come over to see if we wanted anything else. During that time, there were several new customers dropping in hoping to eat but decided to leave after hearing the wait time for food, they lost quite a bit of business. They seem to be regularly understaffed. In the end, we finished our drinks and ended up eating at the local diner. read more

Our 2 nd time there and mill and main did not disappoint! Absolutely wonderful. Keep it up Mill and Main. I had the cumin chicken dish this time which was moist tender and seasoned so perfectly , it came with purple smashed potatoes and the most delicious root veggie side. I had the ginger beer which was a perfect lower alcohol beverage I was looking for that was very satisfying. Tom had a great glass of red wine (faire avec) and the burger which was a great solid burger while but with their added flare which really set it aside as being gourmet . Leave it to them to create such a delicious take on the burger. The fries were crispy and perfect. The staff is most warm and wonderful while never being overbearing. They just have a knack of seeing what you may need and providing it with a smile. They also have such fashion it fun to see them all. I would like to give this establishment 0 stars. We had high hopes the vibe looked great. Unfortunately the customer service was a HUGE disappointment. We were served cold chicken and given a response of "the kitchen was basically closed" by a waitress who continued to give us attitude. We came in at 9:15 and saw that the latest reservation was 9:45 pm. Management needs to make sure that their staff is better trained to handle inadequate dining experiences. read more

Unfortunately we had a very bad experience here. We were visiting the area and arrived late but saw that this place said their kitchen closed at 10 so we made a 9:15 reservation. Two of us ordered the jerk chicken and we both realized it was cold. When we asked if it was supposed to be served cold the waitress said no and went to the kitchen. She returned and told our table that since the kitchen was already closed when we arrived they had to squeeze us in and that is why the chicken was cold. There were about 3-4 other tables with food being served around the same time as us. If the kitchen was closed, you should not be accepting reservations at that time or inform the table that they can no longer order certain things on the menu. It is a heath hazard to serve cold food that she basically admitted was not heated since the kitchen was "already closed". We received no apology and instead were given an attitude by the waitress. This is no way of treating customers especially when you are charging $35 for a plate of chicken. The drinks were good though, props to the bartender. read more

I'm a bit flummoxed (love that word, don't you?) about how to describe this spot. It wasn't bad, but it also wasn't very good. It's the kind of place I ordinarily wouldn't bother to review, except that they're going for style points/charging aggressive city prices, and if you're gonna do that in the Greater Kerhonkson Area, you kinda have to deliver...which didn't happen. We had tamarind margaritas (tasty, but hella weak), a fish board (nothing controversial going on here, but why was there no bread on it?? just some weird minimal crackers. I understand that trout is expensive, so won't ding the small portion, but maybe you could supply us with more than the tiniest ramekins of pickled carrots and onions? Didn't need all that garlic butter either, so maybe you could save on that, if you're trying to cut corners), chicken (the winner, if we're picking one; nothing amazing, but solid), and the mushroom vongole (oily and flavorless, but somewhat salvaged by liberal use of the salt and pepper shakers I had to special-request). Hostess and assistant server were lovely, waitress was unaccountably attitude-y from the jump. I'd try it once more in about a year if I hear good things have started to happen here...maybe they'll work out the kinks. read more
