Chopped salad - a variety of mixed greens and veggies well chopped. Nicely prepared. Blackened Mahi Mahi Tacos - 3 tacos with large chunks of fresh Mahi Mahi. Garnished with red cabbage slaw and guac. Served with a side of rice. Top notch fish tacos that I highly recommend. The exterior is adorned with beautiful plants and flowers. The interior is bright and contemporary with a farmhouse vibe. Plus plenty of perfectly positioned screens to watch your favorite game. The service was on point for the most part. Our server was great but I think he was working too many tables bye himself so we kinda missed the opportunity to order a second round of drinks. We are definitely adding Black Rabbit to our regular rotation. Give it a try.

[Blowing on my nails.] The menu is a mix of American comfort food and gastropub classics, but with flair, and has a bit of everything to satisfy different palates. Our eyes were probably bigger than our stomachs as we ordered 2 apps, 2 entrees, and 2 cocktails, and it was an enormous amount of food. The portions are definitely what you'd call hearty, and everything was very tasty. Thursdays are all day happy hour so we picked the fried calamari appetizer at the HH price (still a full and generous plate and didn't seem like a downsized version) which were tender and well-battered, as well as the hot honey wings which were meaty and substantial. The short rib parpadelle with housemade pasta and a perfectly medium-rare, well seasoned hanger steak with truffle fries completed our satisfying and belly-stuffing meal. The cocktails are serious as well - the presence of a drink with egg white is my personal litmus test for a bar that knows what it's doing, so the Thyme to Bloom special had my name on it. I'm salivating just looking at photos of dishes I didn't order, and am already plotting my return!

I have visited Skylands several times now and have enjoyed the overall experience. Skylands has the…read morefeel of a country brewery. But since they don't brew anything I guess they would be categorized as a tap house. They offer a nice variety of mainly local beers. They also have a relatively small menu of food items. I have tried several different things. Nothing to really rave about. But nothing to complain about either. All in all pretty decent fare. With that said the real draw here is the property. A country setting strewn with picnic tables and Adirondack chairs. Making it a very nice place to hang for a while. Especially, that they often have live entertainment. I'm a biker and this makes a great destination or pit stop. I will return to Skylands for sure.

First of all, the beer flights are only $7, the downside is all beer is served in plastic cups, but the pours are nice size. They do have wine but nothing that this wine snob wanted, lol. The kitchen offers something for everyone. I had the hot Italian panini, my husband the pepperoni pizza, zero complaints. Big bonus there's was music on Sunday! Nice gentleman singing not your ordinary songs, like Eleanor Ribgy! Very cool. 2nd Bonus. There's specific parking spots for motorcycles. So we will definitely be back on our scoot with some friends, scenic route from home is no highway. Nice outdoor seating and ice cream for kids, bring the whole fam, no dogs tho.

I can not possibly say enough about RJC. We had DJ Will & Emcee Dave at our wedding last week and…read morepeople had *the best* time. They say the things people remember most about a wedding are the food and the DJ. No one will forget the party they had at our event. The Emcee was awesome- he had the guests play a game right before dinner started to see who got to take home the centerpiece. While this may seem small, it was fun and a great ice-breaker that really primed everyone to have a good time. He provided fun random commentary, and just kept the party going in general. The DJ totally knew how to read the crowd. He played a great combo of dance music (my main request) along w the occasional power ballad. We requested a cumbia (half of my family is Mexican)- this song got a bunch of people on the floor, so he followed up with some similar Latin songs. The coup de grace was the Grease medley that had everyone singing at the top of their lungs. I have never heard that mix at an event and people were *super* into it hahaha. Pricing, setup, etc- were all fantastic. When talking to Robert on the phone when we set up our contract, he genuinely seemed to care about making sure our wedding was a hit without charging us an arm and a leg. We could not possibly have been happier with the whole thing, I would STRONGLY recommend this group, and would use them again in a heartbeat. Thanks, RJC, DJ Will, and Emcee Dave!!!!!!!!!!!
