This is my 2nd time here. The first time we received great service and food. Food this time was a 3.5. Service a 1. Our waitress this time treated us nonchalantly, with an attitude, and was condescending. We observed her on her phone, constantly eating , came out from the back with her fingers in her mouth picking her teeth, pretty disgusting. She served our drinks and had to stop, turn her face and was coughing. We waited quite awhile and had to get up to request our bill because she was in the corner gabbing and looking at her phone--We didn't get her name. She had long dark hair with many tattoos. Worst waitress experience ever We will not be back

Lovely place! We were able to get there during happy hour (3-6 PM) and were seated without a wait with a nice view of the water. We tried a few appetizers from the happy hour menu, but the highlight of the evening was the gorgonzola fig flatbread. In terms of drinks, the hot peach margarita was a hit, and the house red was very pleasant as well. Great spot for date night!

I met my book club here for our monthly meet. Free extremely limited parking can be found in the parking lot. If the parking lot is full, free street parking can be found nearby. Discover is an accepted form of payment. Happy Hour is offered Mon-Fri from 3pm-6pm. Outdoor seating is available. Propane fireplaces are lit to help keep the chill at bay during the colder months. Indoors is dimly lit with a trendy atmosphere and vibe. Cab & IPA's is not ideal for large parties. Cab & IPA's offers a nice selection of local wine, beer, and ciders. A full bar is available for those who like to sip on cocktails. During my visit, I sipped on a couple glasses of House Red wine for $8 each (hh). I ordered the Margherita Flatbread for $11 (hh): Flatbread toasted with mozzarella, basil, and tomatoes. Always an uncomplicated yet tasty choice. Flatbread would have been taken to the next level if red pepper flakes were offered as a garnishment. Our table shared the Chips & Salsa for $5 (hh). I would pass on this snack the next time around. The salsa was bland and watery. I took a to-go order for a Cobb Salad home for my wife for $16: fresh greens, chicken, avocado, egg, olives, onions, tomatoes, blue cheese crumbles, and bacon with ranch dressing. The salad was served in a nice sized compostable container. Salad toppings were generous and pleasing to the eye. My wife was happy with her meal choice. Service was efficient, although a bit clipped. Overall, I look forward to returning in the future with a smaller group.

3.5/5 Been twice and love the views, wine options, food is decent but service is lacking. The bruschetta is a bit pricey for only 3 pieces of bread but it's really good - just wish an appetizer was more of a shareable portion. The margarita flatbread pizza was great! Previously got the charcuterie board and wish different options for crackers and a spreadable cheese. Again, a bit pricey for what it was but good. Service was slow both times when it wasn't that busy, not very attentive and just basic. Not rude but also not very pleasant/memorable.

What a fun, fun place! This is my second time there, and it was just as delightful! The views are fantastic! Oh! Hello, Ms. Ferry, dashing across the Sound! Hello, beautiful sunset! Now add their excellent service! Yay! Don't you just love it when they are attentive without being pushy? Well, here you go! They have a fabulous wine selection (I will assume the same for beer), either by the glass or by the bottle! And they offer a discount on six bottles or more! We had the baked brie with cranberries and the clams - YUM! Mukilteo is a gem in itself; this place is a perfect example! OH! I didn't order this but another diner did and I just had to take a picture! What a fun take on a Bloody Mary! What a hoot!

The ambiance of this place is amazing especially on a nice day when you can sit outside. A couple of things ruined my experience unfortunately, starting with the wait. I fail to understand why they would have so many empty tables but continue to have such a long wait. Perhaps they should take some tables out if they are unable to fill them for some reason. After waiting almost an hour, the waitress we had was very rude. At one point I had a bug in my glass of wine and was fishing it out with a napkin, and someone at my table asked if she could bring me another glass. She replied, "no, she drank half of it." That is not a response you would expect, and she could have offered a half glass to replace it. The food was average, the street tacos were dry and lacking sauce. I wish I would have had a better experience, because like I said, it's gorgeous.

In short Great deals on great drinks, food is really solid,…read moreand the setting is nice and friendly. Only drawback is that the hours are limited. In long Lately we've been seeking out places that are literally quieter--less volume on the music, more space between the tables, and so on. I'd been wanting to check out 5x5, anyway, since it's the only spot around with an exactly perfect rating score. It looked like it'd fit the bill for a low-key place, and off we went. We came in shortly after they opened on a Saturday (4:00 PM). You're in a larger business-traveler hotel here, aimed at Boeing and Boeing-sub folks traveling for work. The building looks kinda generic from outside, but there's plenty of parking, and the lobby has a high-ceilinged atrium vibe for sure. Nice floor tiles, nice carpet, tasteful furniture. Everything's in perfect shape. You don't feel the lounge vibe right away, but there's a gigantic fireplace ahead of you, warming both sides of the room from the middle. Around that, there are lots of sturdy, shiny tables under the lofty ceilings. Off to the side, there's a little lounge area, then another one. Everything in the lounge is bar-height seating, and there are a few flatscreens, probably showing the game. Most folks are in here, sitting around the bar in the middle of the room. We posted up at a table just outside the lounge. Lindsey was behind the bar, and cheerfully answered every single question we had about food and all their cocktails. She's super friendly and makes a great drink for sure. She seems to have a bunch of regulars who aren't staying at the hotel, which is a great sign, no doubt. We checked out the warm pretzel--such a decadent treat. The waffle fries (and especially the aioli that came with them) were awesome. The pizza was a great choice; we added pickled onions to the Speedway. The crust could be a little crisper but we took home what we didn't finish and it's great here, too. Service on food and drinks was really quick. The cocktails here can be really creative, and there are lots of classics with house twists on the recipe. They even have a pisco sour they've tweaked--that's a fair bit of work for a bartender to make mid-shift. We got 5 great drinks and 3 nice plates of food for $96, and I don't think we even ordered anything from the HH menu. This is a very easy place to add to the rotation.

It is part of the Staybridge Suite hotels here and this hotel in general, is always packed! We finally know why! The hotel inside is beautiful -- woodwork and a cozy ambience! The 5 x 5 bar & bistro is new. What it was before was an old theater. Matthew was a one-man show with two ladies helping him with carrying the done orders to the tables. It was actually quiet on a Wednesday when we had went. Only 3 tables occupied. We missed happy hour and settled on the regular menu. I had the chicken tenders (4-pc) with lemon pepper seasoning (oh my -- this was delicious!) along with sweet potato waffle fries. I also got the hummus plate -- fresh veggies and the hummus had feta cheese and olive oil too, yummy! My bf had the pepperoni pizza with cheddar cheese and topped with green onions. I had a taste of it and it was pretty good! My bf's mom had the fish burger with a side salad. Matthew was so kind and made a mental note of the orders. He even remembered my bf's mom saying 'no cheese' and he doubled checked with her after looking at the fish burger. Real nice guy and his service with the ladies was warm and delightful! They're forming an events room hall that will be done soon that used to be a pool area (so yes, no swimming pool anymore). They also have a nice patio area with long chairs and a nice mini bar/grills in the middle. I also had a limoncello cooler and my bf's mom has red wine too. We'd come back again!

The bruschetta was well balanced, the flavors dancing on our tongue. We also enjoyed a fun and delicious caesar salad, lightly dressed with one of the best homemade dressings I've ever had. Our entree's, like the previous two courses, were also very good! We enjoyed a Smoked Salmon Penne (special) and a Pasta Al Pomodoro. Both were served in the fun boat like bowls and the portions were generous. Again, very thoughtfully prepared, with locally sourced ingredients that tasted amazing! For dessert we shared a to die for Affogato, made with a high quality vanilla bean ice cream and Italian Espresso. We are already planning a return trip to enjoy of Chef Tracy's famous pizzas, made with dough she prepares daily. My husband and I have been eating here since at least 2021 and have raved to all of our friends and family about how fantastic the cocktails and the food are here. We always bring family here for a nice dinner night when they visit from out of town, and it has been consistent since 2021 until Thursday, August 27th. We always order the same drinks, as they are our favorite. I enjoy the Limoncello Drop, and my husband always gets the Bloody Mary. I order mine with raspberry-infused vodka, and my husband gets the jalapeño-infused. His is always spicy, but flavorful. Mine is always tart and sweet. This time was different. Mine was just sweet and had a dried citrus slice floating in it, which is not how it has ever been served. My husband's Bloody Mary had a wooden stick in it and no garnish. There has never been a floating garnish in my drink, and the Bloody Mary has always come with a garnish. Sometimes it is roasted garlic, green olives, and lime. Sometimes an herb sprig and jalapeño slice; another time was garlic, jalapeño, lime, and rosemary sprig. It has never come without the care of a garnish. Additionally, his cocktail tasted terrible. It was just hot. No flavor, just hot and off-tasting. He sent it back, and later the bartender came by to apologize and said the lime juice was off and they had replaced it. He offered a new drink, which my husband declined. For dinner, we shared the Puget Sound Steamers, and for the first time the broth was bland. We usually sop up as much as we can with the bread, but it was just flavorless. I was not able to order my usual dinner selection of the Alaskan Chowder because they were out, which has never happened before, but it was not a huge deal, so I chose the Caprese Salad instead, and it was okay. My husband ordered the Rustic Mac + Cheese; we have both ordered this many times, and it has always been delicious except for this night. It tasted off too, very pasty. Almost as if the flour had not been cooked enough in the béchamel, or perhaps too much flour? It was so bland and pasty that it was sent back, too. When we spoke to the server about the mac + cheese and that it tasted like uncooked or pasty flour, she said there was no flour in it, only cheese. The menu describes the dish as a creamy béchamel, which is a flour-based sauce, so her answer surprised me. I did not press it. Sending food back is not something we enjoy doing, and we left disappointed. We were not charged for the returned items, and we appreciated that. My husband declined a replacement, so he ended up with no dinner, and we stopped somewhere else on the way home. Something was different across both the bar and the kitchen that night. I hope it was a one-off, because five years of consistency earned this place a lot of goodwill with us. At these prices, we expect more, and my husband is reluctant to go back.
