We came in shortly after they opened on a Saturday (4:00 PM). You're in a larger business-traveler hotel here, aimed at Boeing and Boeing-sub folks traveling for work. The building looks kinda generic from outside, but there's plenty of parking, and the lobby has a high-ceilinged atrium vibe for sure. Nice floor tiles, nice carpet, tasteful furniture. Everything's in perfect shape. You don't feel the lounge vibe right away, but there's a gigantic fireplace ahead of you, warming both sides of the room from the middle. Around that, there are lots of sturdy, shiny tables under the lofty ceilings. Off to the side, there's a little lounge area, then another one. Everything in the lounge is bar-height seating, and there are a few flatscreens, probably showing the game. Most folks are in here, sitting around the bar in the middle of the room. We posted up at a table just outside the lounge. Lindsey was behind the bar, and cheerfully answered every single question we had about food and all their cocktails. She's super friendly and makes a great drink for sure. She seems to have a bunch of regulars who aren't staying at the hotel, which is a great sign, no doubt. We checked out the warm pretzel--such a decadent treat. The waffle fries (and especially the aioli that came with them) were awesome. The pizza was a great choice; we added pickled onions to the Speedway. The crust could be a little crisper but we took home what we didn't finish and it's great here, too. Service on food and drinks was really quick. The cocktails here can be really creative, and there are lots of classics with house twists on the recipe. They even have a pisco sour they've tweaked--that's a fair bit of work for a bartender to make mid-shift. We got 5 great drinks and 3 nice plates of food for $96, and I don't think we even ordered anything from the HH menu. This is a very easy place to add to the rotation.

We always bring family here for a nice dinner night when they visit from out of town, and it has been consistent since 2021 until Thursday, August 27th. We always order the same drinks, as they are our favorite. I enjoy the Limoncello Drop, and my husband always gets the Bloody Mary. I order mine with raspberry-infused vodka, and my husband gets the jalapeño-infused. His is always spicy, but flavorful. Mine is always tart and sweet. This time was different. Mine was just sweet and had a dried citrus slice floating in it, which is not how it has ever been served. My husband's Bloody Mary had a wooden stick in it and no garnish. There has never been a floating garnish in my drink, and the Bloody Mary has always come with a garnish. Sometimes it is roasted garlic, green olives, and lime. Sometimes an herb sprig and jalapeño slice; another time was garlic, jalapeño, lime, and rosemary sprig. It has never come without the care of a garnish. Additionally, his cocktail tasted terrible. It was just hot. No flavor, just hot and off-tasting. He sent it back, and later the bartender came by to apologize and said the lime juice was off and they had replaced it. He offered a new drink, which my husband declined. For dinner, we shared the Puget Sound Steamers, and for the first time the broth was bland. We usually sop up as much as we can with the bread, but it was just flavorless. I was not able to order my usual dinner selection of the Alaskan Chowder because they were out, which has never happened before, but it was not a huge deal, so I chose the Caprese Salad instead, and it was okay. My husband ordered the Rustic Mac + Cheese; we have both ordered this many times, and it has always been delicious except for this night. It tasted off too, very pasty. Almost as if the flour had not been cooked enough in the béchamel, or perhaps too much flour? It was so bland and pasty that it was sent back, too. When we spoke to the server about the mac + cheese and that it tasted like uncooked or pasty flour, she said there was no flour in it, only cheese. The menu describes the dish as a creamy béchamel, which is a flour-based sauce, so her answer surprised me. I did not press it. Sending food back is not something we enjoy doing, and we left disappointed. We were not charged for the returned items, and we appreciated that. My husband declined a replacement, so he ended up with no dinner, and we stopped somewhere else on the way home. Something was different across both the bar and the kitchen that night. I hope it was a one-off, because five years of consistency earned this place a lot of goodwill with us. At these prices, we expect more, and my husband is reluctant to go back.

We visited Cabernets and IPAs for the first time tonight. That was our first and last time. Service was severely lacking. We wanted to wait for a table outside on the patio so we sat inside at the bar. We had to flag someone down to place our first drink order. Once outside we again had to flag someone down to get a drink order and waited 40 minutes total for drinks (a beer and a draft cider). We had to get up and ask for my drink (a draft cider) 2 times before it finally arrived, the beer came first by itself. It was then delivered by setting it down and running off with no sorry or explanation for the long wait and in a smaller glass than the first one which we found out later they had no clean glasses. We tried to order dessert which we then had to ask about to finally get. We asked about the rotating dessert which never got answered. We never had a server just come to us we had to seek out all service. We asked for napkins that never came. The ambiance as nice but everything else was not. We were basically ignored the whole time we were there. On the way out we noticed the manager/owner sitting and drinking wine while her staff suffered being very overwhelmed. Will not go back. Giving 1 star for ambiance and live music only. read more

Worst experience tonight! First time to visit for BDay dinner of 4 people on the deck. Waited at recept desk for awhile to be acknowledged while older patron walked right in and sat down at table. No one to monitor guests coming in. Finally was put on waiting list and waited outside. Watched as several tables left..obviously short handed a there was NO bussers. During the JR long wait, an aggressively impatient woman showed up with her "sh***bag husband, only to start to take control of the situation. When it came for us to be seated...the Mgr would NOT sit us at the table we requested due to the influence of this Arrogant B+***! Very disappointed in the lack of Mgnt control, short staffing and disrespect! None of us will be back and none of our friends....Good Luck! read more

Be sure they're open before you go there. They are supposed to open at 2:00 PM. Drove from Whidbey to try them on Wednesday 12/13 and they're closed. Probably won't try them. Wtf? Edit post owners response, yes, your social media was posted at 1:10 PM, 50 minutes before you list your 2:00 opening. We were on a Ferry. Many places do have altered Holiday hours.
