Spaghetti Puttanesca, Salmon Picatta, Chicken Marsala & Lasagna

We tried Double Barrel for the first time on Saturday. Had a reservation and seated right away. We were a party of four. Ordered our drinks and 3 apps. Dates wrapped in Bacon, Coconut Prawns & roasted Brussel sprouts. All was fresh, local and tasty. We selected, Spaghetti Puttanesca, Salmon Picatta, Lasagna Bolognese & Chicken Marsala. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The lasagna eater wished the portion was a bit bigger and that bread had been served on the table. Fresh tasting food and the waitress was was friendly, helpful & efficient. We will certainly be back. Very nice ambiance as well...

Laurie and I celebrated our anniversary with a first time dining at The Double Barrel. Not even a single regret! It exceeded our expectations at every turn. The wonderful staff made us feel welcome from our greeting to our departure. The owner stopped by and chatted as well. The wines suggested by Rebecca were excellent and every dish was cooked to perfection. Sadly the Creme' Brulee did not survive long enough to grab a picture. We're coming back with more family to share this wonderful place.

We looked for months for the perfect spot for a rehearsal dinner for our son and his beautiful fiance and without a doubt, we found it. I can not say enough about Double Barrel and how special and lovely they made such an important event for our families. The food was spectacular and the venue is simply the perfect combination rustic, yet elegant Tuscan charm. The owners made every step up to the event easy and stress-free and the staff could not have been more attentive and professional. I know people read reviews and wonder how accurate they are, especially when they may seem overly positive. However, I very rarely post reviews and I am gushing for a reason and that is because they absolutely deserve it!

A perfect date night! The food was delicious, perfectly cooked, perfect portion size and the ambiance was stellar. We split 2 wine flights which were so pretty and the wines were mellow, you could actually experience the flavors and differences without being bombarded by them. The owners came out to check on us and they were absolutely lovely people, friendly and vivacious, and we even exchanged gardening tips :) We would recommend this establishment to anyone looking for great food, great wine, with an upscale home town vibe. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful ambiance and a great selection of wine. But the food was quite underwhelming. We had the coconut prawns, which weren't bad. For the main course, we had the Piccata with Salmon and the Hungarian Beef Stroganoff. The salmon was extremely salty and topped with a ton of salted capers. Wrong on many levels. The spaghetti, on the other hand, had no flavor at all. The stroganoff seemed to be overcooked with very chewy beef pieces. All in all, go there for the wine and ditch the overpriced food.

This has quickly become our go-to girls night out location. There are many options in the area, but this charming wine bar delivers a better experience on several fronts: 1. The food!!! They serve the world's best stuffed dates and I thought I hated eggplant until the chef was able to transform that nasty vegetable into a scrumptious appetizer. 2. The ambience. It's wine o'clock all the time here. Even the apps are served on repurposed staves. It's nice and roomy in here with the lighting level just right. 3. The owner, previous owner, chef and every single server we have ever been served by have delivered warm friendly service with a great sense of humor. They all feel like friends. 4. They never rush us along. They make us feel like they value our patronage and really want us to stay as long as we like. On our last visit, we saw a couple come in for dinner at 9:30. They were greeted warmly, seated immediately and I didn't sense an ounce of stress or disappointment from their server that it was going to be a longer night. That is professionalism! I love wine and I'm a stickler for a stellar guest experience. Double Barrel keeps us coming back because their passion for their food, wine and most importantly, their guests shines. Every time.

Hosted my wedding's pre-welcome party here and it was perfect! It's a small business and the owner and his wife did a great job attending to our guests and the party! Everyone of my guests had a great experience and I got a lot of happy reviews about the food and the place. It was a prefect size to allow everyone to walk around and socialize, drink lots of wine, and eat hors d'oeuvres. Probably had 60 people come to the party. I didn't take any photos of the actual food besides the dessert- but all yummy!

Sometimes, you find the most amazing restaurants in unexpected places. So it was when we took advantage of a sparkling Seattle day to walk around the historic area of the town of Snohomish. The "historical downtown" as the signs proclaim it has the typical selection of boutique and antique shops, a bakery and several restaurants. While exploring the town, I commented that I'd like to have lunch some place where the men didn't wear their baseball caps backward and drop the "F" bomb every other sentence. My wife agreed, but suggested that might be hard to find given the number of pubs and sports bars we'd already passed. As lunch time grew nearer, we spotted the Double Barrel Wine Bar about a half block off the main street on Avenue A. We perused the menu in the window and decided a couple of their small plates could be just the thing. Popping in, we noticed the smooth jazz playing on the sound system. Coupled with the warm, understated atmosphere, we immediately felt at home. We were greeted warmly by Carlene, who invited us to sit wherever we pleased and who came back immediately with water, place settings and menus. It didn't take long to decide on the bleu cheese-stuffed dates wrapped in bacon, baked brie, and two glasses of Sanvito Montepulciano A'Abruzzo. The rich, luscious dates were complemented perfectly by the Montepulciano, which was medium fullness with very little tannin. The brie, served with two types of crackers, went equally well. For dessert, our server suggested a chocolate brownie infused with pomegranate and served with a sliced strawberry. It was the perfect balance of sweet and tart. To top things off, she brought us tastings of what she called a "chocolate Port," which she explained is a port made to go well with chocolate, not one with chocolate notes of its own. Good food, good service, a pleasant atmosphere and not a baseball cap in sight. What more could we ask for? #DoubleBarrelWineBar_

Guests enjoying the yummy appetizers Lionel had prepared for them.

I had an epic 60th birthday bash at the Double Barrel. I am thrilled to have found out about this place from a friend, as it was the perfect venue. Lionel and Ana were so accommodating in making sure the party was a success, getting it set up ahead of time to accommodate the band I had coming to play as well as making sure there was room to dance. Lionel even had a nice disco light to further set the dancing mood. I chose the appetizer option for my guests, and the food was absolutely delicious. The bar had plenty of options for everyone, too. It was the most memorable birthday party I've ever had, and I'm grateful to the Double Barrel for helping make it so. I highly recommend it for your private event.

Gratuity of 20% is automatically added to tabs for parties of 6+. Lounge seating consists of sitting at the bar. Large groups are not ideal; table tops seating four without ample room to combine tables. Seating can also be found around the pie station. Pie Dive Bar offers a full bar as well as house cocktails. Food menu is narrow, offering savory and sweet pie choices. My wife sipped on a Jameson on the rocks for $9 while I sipped on a glass of A'ki Cab for $10. For dinner my wife chose the Steak Pie for $16: flank steak, onions, garlic, potatoes, peas, carrots and cream of mushroom sauce. Served with a Rocket Beet side salad. My wife did not like that her salad was served on the same plate as her pie since it was unavoidable that the dressing would end up touching her pie. I chose the Chicken Pie for $14: chicken, onions, garlic, red potatoes, peas, carrots and a cream sauce. Served with a Rocket Beet side salad. Comfort in each bite. We took a slice of Banana Bourbon Cream Pie to-go for $10. Admittedly, I'm not a banana cream pie lover (my wife is) and this slice didn't change my mind. Service was friendly and efficient. Overall, Pie Dive Bar is the perfect stop when craving comfort food.

Finding a table for three on Valentine's Day without a reservation usually ends in heartbreak, but…read morewe lucked out here! Despite it being a busy holiday evening, we were seated immediately. The vibe was lively but comfortable, with most tables and the bar filled. Since we visited in February, we leaned heavily into their specials menu. We skipped the small plates and went straight for the mains: the Greek Salad with Steak, the Steak and Gorgonzola Flatbread, and the Vine Burger. Every dish was a hit, though my wife found the red wine vinaigrette on the salad to be just "okay" rather than great. For drinks, we stuck to the mocktails. We tried all three on the menu, and the Blueberry Mule (ginger beer based) was the undisputed winner. We'll have to come back for the cocktails another time since they looked promising! We capped the night with the Apple Blossom pastry with vanilla ice cream--it is a total "must-try." Overall, the service was courteous, the ambiance was spot-on, and parking was a breeze. We'll definitely be back!

The soup of the day was fantastic. A sausage, potato and kale soup. Warm, comforting and delicious! The salad was somewhat disappointing. I ordered the quinoa kale salad, with a citrus vinaigrette. There was a little quinoa and kale on top of a large amount of romaine. Not what I expected. It was also served stuffed into a small, tall sided bowl with the dressing on the side. How exactly are you supposed to dress it and eat it? My friend had the burger and fries. The burger was half the size of the bun. She literally removed 50% of the bun. It was also extremely well done. The fries were cold. They don't have decaf coffee, but I was able to order mint tea. It was brought in a cup that smelled like old coffee. The table had been cleared and I had no napkin and he didn't bring one with the tea. There was a slice of lemon I didn't want and I had no place to put it. There is potential here, I hope they pay more attention to providing a quality experience and food.
