When we first spoke, I was given a quote. However, when it came time to place my order several months later, the delivery and installation costs had surged to over 50% of the cabinet price. I don't think Nikki had any control over this, as it seemed they contract with a third party for delivery and installation. My kitchen is small, and my order included only 6 pre-assembled base cabinets, with no upper cabinets--making it a very straightforward install. I knew the installers were overcharging me. Frustrated, I reached out to other cabinet dealers for quotes on the same brand, and the prices I received were significantly lower, aligning more closely with Nikki's initial quote. I felt bad about not purchasing my cabinets from Nikki. She certainly deserved the sale, but the quoted delivery and installation price was too high for the scope of work.

Over the next few weeks, Heath and I spent hours finalizing my plan and the order was placed at the end of March. Heath even traveled to my home to take measurements to ensure the correct cabinet sizes were ordered. Heath told me to expect a 5-6 week delivery time. Just shy of 4 weeks later, Heath called to tell me my cabinets were in. A couple of weeks after that, the installers came. Marius and Tim were nothing short of amazing. We used Platinum Kitchens for a complete renovation. The appeal of Platinum was an all-in-one…read morekitchen company that specializes in just kitchens. Our initial design consultation consisted of pictures and measurements in our home followed by a design presentation with a CAD rendering on the new kitchen. We were given a quote, start date with an eight week timeline for a functional kitchen. When they explained the payment schedule they made us agree to paying full payment at the end of the construction phase and before all punch list items are completed. This was a red flag to me and I should have listened to my gut. We did all the design selections in-house and that process went relatively smooth. This is done over several appointments. Appliances are purchased by the owner and installed by Platinum during the construction phase. They sent us to NorthPoint Appliance in Alpharetta and they were excellent. The construction phase started on schedule. Our project manager/general contractor assigned to us met with us the first day. During the next 8 weeks we didn't see much of him in person on the job site. He wasn't at the house to inspect the work as you would expect. We were left to answer questions from the subs or reach out to him to get the answers. Quality of work ranged from excellent to poor. Some items we were shocked that this was the final product. We were able to get them to fix many of the issues and others they refused to fix. They did deliver a working kitchen at eight weeks as promised but we had an extensive punch list of items that needed to be fixed. After collecting the final payment they assured us they would address these promptly. Our final punch list item was completed 18 months later--RIDICULOUS! In the end they did build us a beautiful kitchen but getting to the finish line was a hassle. The customer shouldn't have to be this hands on using a full service company. Additionally, the construction quality should have been better on a $75K kitchen renovation project. If we had to do another kitchen renovation we would look to use a different company.

She also arranged for replacement for both of our light fixtures when one was broken by a contractor - we didn't even have to request that Platinum cover the cost of both - they just did it.
