Solid wood and sturdy! They were so professional and very timely with everything and every request, they updated us on the whole process so we always knew status or what was going on. The install was great, the guys were very accommodating and considerate of my new floors and kept their work space neat and tidy! DO NOT PAY THESE PEOPLE UP FRONT! The City of Milton Georgia Police have forcrced this couple to return STOLEN ITEMS, Office J.D. Reece (Badge #1140) Case number 17-00665 for the whole story. In my lifetime I have left a great number of reviews. Nearly every one of them positive. I do not like leaving negative reviews but I have to warn people about this couple. When I say this couple I mean Steven and Valery Baur or Bauer. They spell their name one way in email and another in documents so I am showing both spellings. This couple and two helpers appear to be the entire company. Their two employees seem to be a couple of nice guys but even they will admit that there is something wrong with their employer. We employed this couple (Steve Baur and Valery Baur), advertising themselves as Best Price Cabinets & Woodworking of Cumming Georgia (770-597-8255) on November 15th of 2016. When I say we, I mean my employer and I. They were to build custom kitchen cabinets and two wall units with bookshelves and wanted $14,000.00 upfront (about 60%) saying that we had to "take a chance" to work with a company like theirs.Their price was lower than the other company that we used for a previous project so we made the decision to pay them before we received anything. Right away they started to show signs that things might not be as they described. On the 9th of December they contacted us and told us that they were ready to deliver the cabinets but would need an additional $8,171.72 at the time of delivery. Although this was almost everything that would be owed, we thought that delivery meant that the cabinets would be installed and the contract stated that payment was due on delivery so we agreed. To make a long story short, these cabinets are abysmal, they do not fit and are warped and crooked! When they were told that they would not receive the final payment until the problems with their warped and crooked cabinets where not fixed, they broke into the home and stole property that was not theirs (handles that we purchased) along with some of the cabinets. We called the City of Milton Police department and told them what had happened. Office J.D. Reece (Badge #1140) opened Case number 17-00665 stating that when they went into the home without an invite, that was a crime. When they took things from the home, this was theft by taking, when they took the handles that they did not even provide and were purchased separately, that further bolstered the case against them. The police looked for them and finally found them. We offered to not press charges if they would return the items that were taken. The police escorted them to the house and forced the return of the items. However, there are several still missing because when the police made them return it, they only made them leave everything outside in the driveway and we were not personally there to take inventory. Now that they showed the police that they returned them and that we agreed not to press charges if they were to do so, the police are not going force more returns. In the end, even though these people were forced to return most of the items taken, were remain left with a project that is incomplete and substandard. BEWARE of these people. THEY ARE VERY DISHONEST!! read more

We had a complete kitchen gut job and had BEST PRICE CUSTOM CABINETS AND WOODWORKING do the job. Steve and Valery are nice people. The cabinets were built quickly and delivered carefully. The cabinets are beautiful and very well made with a beautiful painted finish. That being said, I am withholding a star on my review for the following reasons: We have been waiting over a month for Steve to have a missing piece of trim work installed. When the job was completed, Steve didn't bother to come buy to see for himself that the workmanship of his employees was up to his standards. If he had come by he would have seen the missing trim piece and a place where one of the cabinet shims was sticking out. Lastly, our 10 foot island was misaligned by several inches. It was supposed to be a specific distance from the refrigerator opening. It was not correctly measured. Steve told us after the fact, it is not their responsibility to square up its placement. Our pendant lights ended up being misaligned. One of the reasons we were given aside from the possibility that the plumber bumped the 1000 pound island with his butt, was that we must have simply wanted it crooked, as some customers do.
