My husband and I used C2GO in 2011 when we bought a house, and went through Alex at the then 8 mile store in Warren. We LOVED the process, the product and the price. Just recently, we bought a new house and we're gutting this kitchen as well, so we thought to use C2GO again. We sought out Alex at the new Dearborn location and he was again fantastic - gave us a beautiful layout, quote and service. When we finally closed on the house and were ready to get final measurements, we contacted Alex about his installer, Ron (an independent guy, not an employee of C2GO). We were told to contact Ron directly, which is normal, to schedule the appointment. We called Ron and were told by him to call him at 5pm that night to confirm an appointment later that evening. 5pm came and we called Ron twice but got no answer and couldn't leave a voicemail because the box was full. We never received a call back from Ron. Fast forward to a few days later, I call Alex to say that we are having trouble getting Ron out to the house for an appointment, and that we wanted to make some minor adjustments to our quote. Alex obliged me and discussed the changes, agreed to send me a new quote and told me he would contact Ron himself to get me on the schedule as a priority. Nobody called over the next few days, and I called Alex again. Alex said to call Ron direct...again. I called Ron who told me he would call me at 5pm that night to arrange an appointment for 7-8pm. I agreed, however no call came until after 8pm requesting an appointment for 8:45-9pm. Too late - call me when you say you will, and keep to your appointment times. Here's the thing - we LOVE Alex and C2GO. The product is WAY better than Ikea or the ready-made stuff at Home Depot/Lowes. It's real wood and great quality. It's also super affordable. But if I can't get the installer to return my call or come to measure, then I can't give you my money. We have NO kitchen in our house - we're anxious and ready to go! We ended up taking our quote to the Chesterfield store, getting their installer to our house within 3 hours on the same day to measure and an order placed within 36 hours. I HIGHLY recommend C2GO and Alex & his staff - but do make sure you get your own installer for the cabinets. read more

I tried to do business with them. I own a summer home in Royal Oak, Mi and also live in Florida. We decided to remodel the MI house and started with the kitchen. I called C2GO and spoke with someone that requested a measured drawing of the kitchen and recommended we have them come to the house and measure themselves. I sent photos and dimensions to get started and was told they would call back and arrange to get out for the measurements. That was 3 months ago and I haven't heard a peep out of them. Cabinets to Go I would recommend this company. I had to replace some custom cabinets due to a leak. Chris discussed my options and worked up three quotes. When I said I had to go home and talk to my contractor and I would get back with him the next day there was no pressure. The prices were reasonable enough that I was able to get the look I wanted at a price I could afford. The quality is much nicer than what you get from a box store. There was a glitch in the delivery timing because the Holiday wasn't taken in consideration but it all worked out and I love my new cabinets. read more

Very disappointing experience with CTG. Ordering was no problem but we had a design change that required less cabinets. Great!! But our refund took approximately 2 months after numerous calls and a personal visit. The installation had some hiccups that we understood but the follow up to get the pieces and fix mistakes is still going on 3 months later. The service through the Dearborn office is horrible. The manager Chris does not return calls!!!!!! We have voiced our concerns numerous times with no resolve!!!! On top of all that we have cabinet defects!!! read more

Never ever use this company. The service is the worst service I have ever had in 40+ years of dealing with companies. Often they do not answer the store phone. When you do reach someone, they usually can't help, and defer you to Corporate who sends you back to the store. Nobody ever, (seriously, not once) returns a phone call. When I do connect, Chris, manager of Dearborn store promises to help but does not deliver. I accept delays due to supply chain, no problem. But these cabinets are poorly made and 2 drawers do not work. One stopped closing completely 2 months after install, and the other 10 months after install. Many of the "soft close" drawers did not close softly after a month. I complained to Better Business Bureau, but CTG did not respond to them, so they closed the complaint! read more

We've used C2go for two different projects. One was a remodel of the kitchen at a rental property. Second was the countertops for the bar in our home basement. We really like the products as they are a step up from Home Depot or Lowe's without breaking the bank. The butcher block countertops took a few weeks for shipping during COVID but it was worth the wait. We like this business model. Four stars because sometimes the customer service falls short ie not returning phone calls. But overall a good place to do business with and a solid product. read more

I keep hearing that someone will look into my order but nothing happens and I haven't been contacted with an explanation. I have used Cabinets to Go for 5 major (and expensive) projects. The customer service from the Dearborn store personnel, Regional Manager and Corporate Customer Service representatives are horrible. I was charged for an installation that was not completed by CTG. I have contacted all of the above numerous times over the last 3 months. There is constant personnel turnover at the Dearborn store. They don't answer the phone, leave me on hold, don't return phone calls, lie and insist the check has been mailed, the check came back from the wrong address, the check will be released again this week. No check received yet. Their behavior is criminal, they are keeping my money for a service they did not perform. As a woman of color, I will NEVER do business with this company again and would not recommend the Dearborn store or the CTG company representatives. At CTG they push volume, collect all money up front and have no concerns about the customer after the transaction. read more

Ill start off by saying writing this review was the only reason I made a Yelp account. I bought my house not planning on renovating the kitchen right away. When i did change my mind I was worried that it was going to cost a ton, so i decided to check out cabinets to go through recommendation by a friend. I can honestly say I did not have one problem with my experience. I primarily dealt with Shaun (hope im spelling that right). First of all, i brought in pictures of my completely torn out kitchen along with measurements and she helped me put together the correct drawing and list of cabinet sizes I would need just off those. Second, She helped me to design a bar area that wouldn't take up too much room in the kitchen since my house is a little smaller. Beyond this, every problem or concern I had Shaun as well as the whole staff quickly helped me to get it fixed. I received way more help than I expected to get at a way cheaper price point than I expected. Heres a list of the big Pros i had with my experience: 1. Excellent customer service from beginning to end 2. Price of the cabinets was way cheaper than a custom cabinets store 3. Quality of the cabinets was far past what i expected to get. All wood, soft-closing hardware, no damage out of the box. 4. Shipments come in every Thursday. I placed my order on a Thursday and had everything I ordered the next Thursday. 5. Assembly of the cabinets was beyond easy. 6. Staff was friendly. helpful and were easy to work with. The only issue I had was that my lazy susan cabinet had a missing hinge. I went into the store to ask what I could do and had my issue resolved right then and there. I have since had about 5 coworkers get their cabinets from this store and have all had great experiences like mine. I will be coming back in the future for any cabinets I buy. We shopped around for new cabinets from a couple of different companies. We found a competitor that came in nearly $2000 lower so we told them about it they asked for the quote just to compare prices which is reasonable. What I didn't know is they directly duplicated the competitor quote which wasn't what the deal was; they were just going to compare prices. I was under the impression the design we worked on together would be the template minus some specialty cabinets. Well the competitor quote had cabinets that wouldn't fit our wall because they didn't account for a window. Trying to convince them to match the price was hard enough so I agreed to pay 1000 more than the competitor quote and they agreed. Well fast forward to install and I notice they gave me cabinets that would not fit due to my window and when I asked for them to swap them out and provided the design picture they told me the design drawing doesn't apply because they had to go off the quote of the competitor. I wish I would have known that up front because that wasn't what was discussed. Shame on me for not verifying the quote was correct but shame on them for knowingly selling me cabinets they knew wouldn't fit. Sales guy was very helpful I don't blame him. 25% restocking fee is a bit excessive of a fee for a product you will store then sell at full price. Overall cabinets look noce; small defects that luckily won't be noticed when installed. Not a fan of the cheap cam locks they use. Recommend using wood glue when assembling just to give the cabinets for rigidity. read more

Basically: this place gets you a stylish affordable decent quality designed kitchen very fast! I bought an investment property that I am working on myself, including doing the kitchen by myself. My first time ever installing a kitchen, on my own. I am a lanky dude, okay but not great with DIY stuff. I walked in at 4:45pm, all associated were busy but I was attended to immediately as much as they could. Cabinets To Go and the Dearborn team were fantastic!! Granted: I knew approximately what I wanted, had basic measurements and some details ready to go. Within an hour and designer help I had selected cabinet line, door style, color, hardware and countertop options. Got my quote and design with a day and a half. I eventually got a stylish well designed decent quality corner kitchen (14 cabinets) for under 4K!! I am very happy with the whole experience at Cabinets To Go! Especially the Dearborn, MI team made it great! Everything was perfect, well designed (thank you Cara Jones), order complete and on time, no funny surprises. Had a great experience with Shawn from the Detroit store when we remodeled our kitchen. It was fast, professional and the results were fantastic. Our kitchen is beautiful!! Naturally, when we were looking to do our laundry room, I again did the research since I wasn't worried about the look as much as I was for the kitchen. Once again, CTG came out ahead. The quality could not be beat and they had the style I wanted. Shawn had moved to Dearborn, so we went there to get our design and quote. I also did my own measurements, but they didn't take everything into consideration, so the professional measure is a MUST. But here comes the issue. Like another reviewer, we had some scheduling issues with Ron, our installer. Once they came in, they were extremely fast, efficient and did a great job, but scheduling could be tricky. Overall, for the savings and quality of product I will be a fan for life. The Big Box home improvement stores' CHEAPEST product (using mostly particle board) was thousands more NOT INCLUDING INSTALLATION. Forget that!! I'll work with some inconvenience for the savings and quality!! read more

We had a great experience at Cabinets to Go. We were greeted by a welcoming staff upon entering and were taken through the process step by step. They were very transparent with everything and answered any questions we had. After doing our research we found that this place had the best quality cabinets for the best price. The reason was that it was more of a whole sale deal. The cabinets came in after a week and we went a picked them up. They came in boxes and we elected to put them together ourselves. The instructions were pretty self explanatory if you have any experience with the basic mechanisms. We then brought a third party in to hang them up in the kitchen and put everything together. One of our cabinets did come in a couple of weeks late. When we called them they were very accommodating and refunded the price of that cabinet for it being late. All in all, it was a great experience and we are very satisfied with our cabinets. Shawn and Brian were both super helpful, I definitely recommend them. read more

Shawn did my kitchen at my rental home 6 years ago and did a great job. I went to the Dearborn store where she now works and was pleased with her, but not the installation of the cabinets and flooring. The quartz counters were fine. After 7 months were now in Court. Brian Pullin was contacted at the Corporate offices to officiate the refund. After many many calls, emails etc, he is refusing to refund my money. Upset because I corrected some of inaccuracies in time lines, conversations etc. he has now made unprofessional comments that is causing the court action. Much like the other yelp review, Shawn, Alex, Brian have been great, Alex went so far as to 3 way call to Brian Pullin when he refused to pick up the phone. Run, run, run far away from this place! I wouldn't NOT recommend purchasing cabinets from this place, especially the Dearborn, MI location. They will let you place an order, and wait a week after the order is placed to tell you the items are back ordered for 3 months! If you try to cancel the order they will refuse to waive the 25% restock fee. Corporate is a joke, as they allow the store's regional manager to make the final decision and "no one will override that decision." Save yourself the headache, frustration and the inconvenience and go some where that is trustworthy and values customer service. TERRIBLE experience! read more

I had a very pleasant experience with cabinets to go! Our cabinets were just installed and they are absolutely gorgeous! If you're "reviewing" C2Go to compare cabinet quality, I can only say they are beautiful and sturdy, they seem like they will last, but I can't say much more than how happy we are just looking at them, because they were JUST installed today and we have yet to really use them! If you're "reviewing" C2Go for their customer service.. we did have a couple hiccups in the process but the customer service was exceptional and they definitely did everything in their power to make sure I was happy and succeeded! Our hiccups were mostly in the measurements but that is why I will add for you to just have them come out and measure! We came in with our own measurements and if they had done them, most likely there wouldn't have been a hiccup at all! They did offer to do them, but since we had them already, we figured, why waste anyone's time! Measurements are the most important part of this project, do yourself a favor and just have them come out.. even if you already have them! You never know what you might have missed! I would also like to add, the installer was super kind and patient with us as well, delivered, assembled and installed everything himself.. which was a LOT of work! He worked basically from 9-5 (give or take) for 4 days, never took a lunch and did a much better job than I imagine myself doing! If you're considering having them installed or not, I would definitely recommend it, as it seemed to be a huge job! Happy with our overall experience and will recommend to others! I went to the store approximately 5 weeks ago to get an estimate on cabinets for my kitchen project. Mind you, I already had an estimate from the same store from about 18 months earlier, so I really only needed updated pricing and to make a few changes. After numerous attempts through the telephone and emails to get an estimate, I have given up! If I could give them a no stars at all I would! This was the worst experience of my life. I paid over 15k for my dream kitchen, not only did they get the color wrong, I had multiple missing parts to my kitchen that were never delivered on numerous occasions. My installer & I both for two weeks attempted to contact Chris who was the manager there & who took care of my entire order he would never pick up! When he would pick up his exact words "I got busy I'm working on your order right now as we speak" but it never got done. I called regional manager & they took care of the order but when I got one last time attempted to call Chris, I called him 14 times and no one picked up. Also, when they made a mistake with my missing cabinets they sent in the wrong ones, when I went to get them returned I noticed on my bill they weren't returned and I did not receive my money until a month later. Why is that? Because he makes commission off any order over 10k and he's a unprofessional, unethical money hungry, human being that I do not recommend ANYONE going to. If I didn't have some of my kitchen cabinets already installed, I would have simply had them return everything, get my money back & go elsewhere. I do NOT recommend cabinets to go to anyone. Zero stars needs to be an option here. This is hands down the most incompetent company I have ever dealt with in my life. Today is March 21 2019, my original install date was August 15 3018, and it is still not complete! They have made appointments with me 4 times now and never showed to complete this project. They will not refund any part of my installation cost either! Which has to be paid in full to start the job. This company is pathetic, their cabinets are sub par at best, and their customer service is an absolutely joke! I feel like such a chump for ever trying them. If you're reading this before you purchase, please trust me and do not use Cabinets to Go! Look anywhere else because this is an absolute nightmare in every aspect. Worst customer service and terrible product. I wish I could give them zero stars, but unfortunately you cannot. The customer service on the day we went to look for cabinets was actually pleasant, then it went downhill. Quality of the cabinets is definitely subpar. If you're looking for durable, quality cabinets, this is not the place. We haven't even started using the cabinets yet (waiting on countertops and that's a whole different story with Cabinets to Go) and they are already starting to crack, chip, hinges stick, etc. These cabinets are very cheap and poorly made. Now....that's if you get them when promised. What was supposed to be no more than two 7-14 days, took over a month. Pieces came in piece by piece. Then the countertops.....workers never arrived on install day. They called to reschedule at 8:00pm, after waiting all day, for a date two weeks out. Tried to cancel order altogether and it took 90 days to settle the claim. Terrible customer service and product!! read more

I will start on a positive note, once all was said and done the cabinets were beautiful. Well let me rephrase, its still not over. My involvement with Cabinets To Go Dearborn started approximately 4 months ago. When my cabinets were ready for pickup (BTW I was not notified when they were ready for pick up)I had to call them, that is when the disaster began. Five trips back and forth to Dearborn to pick up missing cabinets, and drop off wrong size cabinets, I had to pick up missing toe kicks, scribe, filler and crown, that is when I was told my 36 in sink base cabinet was on back order and if I wanted it I would have to wait until the end of January. I settled for a 30 inch sink base that would arrive after Thanksgiving which ended up delaying the measuring and installation of countertops. And just when I thought it was over I financed the cabinets with a Cabinets To Go credit card, know one seems to be able to figured out how Cabinets To Go could put the balance of my purchase on a value City card and the wrong balance two weeks ago and they have done nothing..Run and don't look back it's not worth the stress. read more

This company is terrible. I spent over $10,000 on our cabinets. They sent me damaged cabinets back in Oct 2015 and I've had numerous calls for them to fix it and they still haven't done it yet. We are currently in Aug 2016 (its been 10 months) and they keep sending me the wrong cabinets. I have to babysit this on a weekly basis. I spoke with Rosylyn from the CA office and she is lost. I spoke with Alex in the Dearborn location and he tells me what I want to hear (smooth talker) but all talk and no action. I would never recommend this company to anyone.
