It has taken me WAY too long to write this review of this amazing company. We had initially contracted Home Depot to install our Kitchen. The entire process of working with Home Depot was an absolute nightmare from the beginning. Once we FINALLY got our cabinets installed, we had their countertop people come in and measure. At that time, they said it would be 2-3 weeks max. After the 2 weeks had passed, I called the company to see when they would be scheduling the installation and was told that they did not know when we would get our countertops as the stone was still sitting on a boat. No ETA, no "I'm Sorry's" just miserable customer service. This is at the end of Nov. The process started with Home Depot in Aug. They ruined my Thanksgiving holiday and were about to ruin my Christmas holiday. I called them to tell them I wanted a refund on my countertops and that I would find another company to install them. They told me no one would have it or get it installed in time, but I could do it if I wanted. Well, I was referred to Preferred Marble and Granite and from the date of my call to instillation it was less than 1 week...AND....it was cheaper. They did a superb job with measuring, cutting and installing my countertops. I cannot recommend them enough. For any project you need done, I cannot urge you enough to work with them. They are fantastic, starting with customer service and ordering all the way through the follow-up of the finished result. You cannot go wrong with them. read more

Poor customer service. The sales people will not help you unless you are their costumer. We were in the store four times over the course of our kitchen remodel and every time we were left to stand and wonder if someone was going to assist. The salespeople sit at their desks in the back of the room and if they are not expecting you, they don't move or engage you. We had an issue with our granite order and had to select another slab. Our salesman would not even work with us, but directed us to the warehouse and then left. The other salespeople would not help because we were not their customers. What's a customer to do? My advice? Go somewhere else if you want good service. read more

From start to finish, Preferred was professional, responsive, accommodating and trustworthy. They worked to make sure our vision came true, finding us the exact slabs to fit our design and ensuring everything was seamlessly executed from first call to installation. I have to give specific shoutouts to Ted, Tyler, Brian and Dylan who are true professionals at their craft. We love our countertops but had an issue with the undermount sink after a few years, came loose from the countertop. Preferred did come out and repair at a discounted rate. The Elkay sink didnt bond well because Elkays have some coating on the rim that the previous tech from Preferred must not have known about. Current tech remove coating and scoffed, so hoping it works better. Some new techniques out there now (new CNC method with pilot holes in countertop works very well according to repairman). So Ask lots of questions if installing an undermount sink. read more

I made an appointment to come into the showroom and was left out in the rain with the door locked even though they saw me and my family standing outside. There weren't any customers in the store as far as I could see. read more

Had to get a couple remnants and they were the only place on the east side who took the time to deal with me even though I wasn't a big sale/customer. Nicki took great care of me over the phone and emailed me pictures of what they had. When I redo my kitchen I will be sure to give them the business. read more

Preferred just completed replacing my quartz countertop which another company installed but countertop was flawed and installation was not correct. Preferred came out tore the old countertop out without doing any damage and installed the new one without doing any damage. Crew was courteous and owner came out to help and made sure everything was done correctly. I would highly recommend this company to do do countertops in any ones house. Side note the manufacturer of the flawed countertop Mont marble backed their product and covered cost of replacing new countertop. Hats of to Ted and his crew for excellent job. read more

Walked into showroom for the first time and was not at all acknowledged by the sales people. There were three desks and two of the three associates did have customers. The woman that was free eventually called me over and as it turned out had a bad leg. She was rushed and irritable and since it was raining continued to tell me to find something inside. Granted I wasn't exactly sure what I was looking for, but she spewed out some colors and approximate pricing and again acted irritated to have to do that basically telling me to come back after I knew what I wanted and the weather was better to look outside for inventory. Unbeknownst to her, I was a serious shopper and was ready to pull the trigger - I had taken the rare day off work and was looking at spending over 2k and that's the treatment I get? No point in having a salesperson in the showroom if they can't show you around. I had gone to Home Depot first and their customer service was outstanding in comparison. read more

They really do have the biggest selection for marble and granite. So many great choices I had trouble deciding. I finally found something I really liked for my kitchen (grey speckled granite) and it was only $19.99 per square foot as advertised. I thought this might just be the advertised price for the "crummy" granite - but I actually got gorgeous granite for this price, which was the best price I had found anywhere. read more

They are the Installers for IKEA and we were very pleased. Kristen and Charmaine at the office do a great job setting stuff up and working with my crazy schedule. Brian came out for the measure and was so incredibly accurate with his work templating. Neil and Nick came out to install and was done with the whole kitchen in less than two hours. They cleaned their workspace and were wonderful to work with. They gave care instructions and details of all kinds. You guys do a great job and we love our kitchen! read more
