This review is an addendum to my previous review of Cabinets to Go. I was having trouble with the drawer glides for my slide out trash receptacle. I requested a warranty replacement from CTG headquarters, but the glides were out of stock. No problem, I can wait. A couple of months go by, still no glides, still showing out of stock. Then, last week, a large shipping carton shows up, containing a new and improved trash receptacle and mounting hardware! The accompanying letter from CTG's director of customer care explained since my order was on backorder for so long, CTG decided to give me an upgrade! This new receptacle was a big improvement on the previous model, easier to install, and with ability to fine-tune the alignment of the receptacle. I already was a big fan of Cabinets To Go, but after this exceptional piece of customer service, I'm a customer for life. After getting pricing (and sticker shock) on kitchen cabinets from a big-box home improvement store, we decided to give the new Syracuse location of Cabinets To Go a shot. We worked with George, who took lots of time helping us decide which style of cabinets to order, and designing a layout to maximize the layout in our small kitchen. He came to our house to take measurements, and used a 3-D modeling program to provide us with images to visualize our design better. We had a couple of minor hiccups with ordering our cabinets, but no big deal, we got everything in on time. The cabinets are flat pack, and we had to assemble them ourselves, but this went pretty smoothly, with the exception of the lazy susan cabinet we chose for the corner of the room. (If you order one of these, MAKE SURE to pay attention to the instruction video that George has filmed for this cabinet, as the instructions that come with it are not terribly easy to follow!) Cabinets To Go will assemble the cabinets for you, for a cost of 10% of your cabinet quote, which would be worth it if you're not too handy with tools, or if you want to save time and effort. The cabinets are MUCH nicer than comparable models at the big-box stores, (real wood, not thermofoil), with slow-close hardware and dovetail joints. They are also priced MUCH better; in a 10' x 12' kitchen, we saved over $1,000 vs. the big-box store! Cabinets To Go also sells flooring, which we did not purchase, as we had already bought our flooring from another store, as well as counter tops, which we did order from them. This work is sub-contracted out to another company, Top Fabricators, which was another very good experience. (see my review here) yelp.com/review_share/7R... Rosemary & James M. We were up against an extremely tight deadline for the remodel of our kitchen. We had planned in advance and had hired a local contractor, unfortunately, he skipped out on the job and kept our money as well...but that is a different story. The day we called Cabinets to Go, we were distraught and not very optimistic of the possibility of acquiring cabinets and having them installed in time for our daughter's wedding that was less than 3 weeks away! Bear in mind that the incompetent contractor had already ripped out our old cabinets so we virtually had none! Our journey to a new kitchen began with a frantic phone call to the young man that answered the phone...Ryan, he must have some background in psychology because he spoke with such calm and confidence that we immediately felt comfortable and hopeful. Our next meeting was in person with George, what a gem, this man not only stayed hours beyond closing time but he calmly and professionally walked us through the entire process of purchasing our cabinets. He and Ryan worked hand in glove to be sure every detail was secure and they both kept in communication with us every day, often more than once a day. It doesn't end there, even when the cabinets arrived (exactly as they said they would), George again stayed late and loaded the inordinate number of boxes onto our truck so we could transport them home (about 50 miles from the store). The night we picked them up, Sherri was at her desk and that poor woman stayed well beyond closing time with such grace, she knew we were still worried and so nervous about meeting our deadline, she dove right in to do all she could to make us comfortable and to assure us that everything would turn out fine. We would recommend this company to anyone at any time, they are professional, caring, and above all, they deliver exactly what they promise. Frankly, it is rare that we would take the time to share our experience but we really hope that this may encourage others to entrust their home remodel, big or small, to this fine establishment. These folks work very hard and clearly are very willing to go above and beyond the call of duty at every turn. George, Ryan, and Sherri, our sincerest appreciation of your time, guidance, and support throughout our ordeal, we will have a kitchen in time for our daughter's wedding because of your combined effort! I really wanted to remodel and redesign my kitchen, but my husband was dead set against it. :-( So I decided to do some research and see what kind of pricing I could find to make this happen and hopefully get my husband on board. After going to the 2 major big box stores and a few smaller ones, I was beginning to lose hope that I would be able to create my new kitchen with our budget. I came across cabinets to go by accident while searching online and after sending in my design and getting a quote I was able to get my husband to go and check this company out. The minute we walked in the store we were greeted and made feel welcome. The salesman was busy with another customer and told us to go ahead and look around, he would be with us shortly. The Syracuse store is very clean and bright and they have a lot of things to look at and touch to get a feel for what you want. They also have a few kitchen models setup to see how it might look in your space, that was a game-changer for me. I fell in love with the model in Kensington Gray, it is absolutely gorgeous! But although I loved it, I had a hard time picturing it in our home. I knew I wanted gray floors and walls and I was afraid that the gray cabinets would be too much. Our salesperson Ryan, was fantastic and so patient with me. I ended up with the Aspen white raised panel cabinets and I love them. Ryan laid out our design on the computer so I could see how it would look and helped us choose the right size cabinets for our space. He was patient when we had to make some changes and even helped us pick out our flooring which we bought there as well. I can definitely say you will not be disappointed with CabinetsToGo, I love our kitchen, and my husband does too!!! Our salesperson Ryan was a huge help and I know if we have any other projects, we will definitely use CabinetsToGo. I had a long term relationship (8 month) with George as we planned this kitchen. Seriously, some relationships are shorter than the time he devoted to our kitchen. We are so appreciative of his patience as we struggled without a kitchen for months and he struggled to keep up with emails from me updating him on our obstacles here. Our biggest struggle was the subcontractors lining up their schedules in the order we needed to complete our work. We were at the mercy of subcontractors and even though we have dealt with many renovations over the years, this was our largest renovation. We drove to Cabinets to Go from Buffalo because we had heard that the cabinets were so well made. We thought it was worth the drive even knowing that we would end up going back and forth a few times. It was all worth the trips. I ordered the Malibu Shaker Style cabinets and I couldn't be happier with the quality and look. I would not hesitate to go back to George if I needed another kitchen (my husband would never allow it) and I also would not hesitate to recommend Cabinets to Go to my family and friends. read more

We had the pleasure of dealing with Ryan, kitchen designer, at Cabinets To Go in Syracuse. We found Ryan was very knowledgeable about the product we were looking to purchase. George, store manager, was right there every step of the way if Ryan was not available The quality of the cabinets are superior to the Shanendoah cabinets that we purchased last year in which we had plenty of issues with. By comparison, it actually had taken less time to receive cabinets from Cabinets to Go than it did the big box stores. We had one tiny issues with Cabinets to Go that we were able to take care of ourselves. The cabinets are made of seven plywood and look great! Ryan loaded the cabinets into our vehicle with no scratches or dings. We also received putty and touch up paint (at no cost) with the cabinets if needed. This is great as we have two young grandchildren. The cost was at least a third less than the big box stores. We highly recommend Cabinets to Go. We have used them twice so far and I'm sure we will use them again. P.S. They are very easy to put together too!. read more

We are first time home buyers, and we went to Cabinets To Go in Syracuse after being sticker shocked at a few different places. We ended up working with Ryan and he was absolutely fabulous! He worked with us from start to finish and helped us design the exact kitchen layout we wanted and he truly went above and beyond. With our kitchen being small, he maximized and utilized all of the available space. He helped us with the design and told us what would look good and helped us think of everything we needed, things we hadn't even thought of. He made a 3D program that showed us exactly what our kitchen was going to look like, which helped us picture what we wanted. He continually kept in touch with us and got our order in promptly. I have been coming to Cabinets to Go Syracuse for several months now, working through the renovation that my townhouse has needed. I initially came looking for kitchen cabinets, but I got a good salesman (Ryan Johnson) and a good contractor through the store (Doug Brissette), and with them I have done both my kitchen cabinets and downstairs flooring, and now currently working on upstairs flooring. Ryan has been patient with me, and has made some good recommendations and design suggestions for my kitchen space. And Doug has done good work with the installs. Both have been patient, and have gone above and beyond for me. I personally recommend both without hesitation. It's a good store, and they are good guys. I'm planning on using them for my downstairs basement, when the time comes. read more

We were "walk in" customers and Ryan in Syracuse, NY store assisted us without pressure. He walked us through the process honestly and assisted us with arranging contractors. The staff is very professional and friendly and really wants to answer all your questions. We met with Ryan and he was beyond helpful and took the time to make sure we has all the information we needed and got the best deal on the project. After pricing several cabinet suppliers- this company beat out the others ( and there were many Lowes, Cliq, Kitchen World, etc.) not only in price, but also in quality of product.
