The staff is wonderful and very prompt with their responses. Our new plan had us staying in the Wolf Den. Upon arrival our suite was spotless and so so welcoming. The suite offers everything you need for a beautiful trip away from home. The yard just off of the suite allowed for our dogs to stretch their legs and have some fun as well. The beds are comfortable and cabin are cute and clean. Our 11 yr old son lives sleeping in the loft and the covered fire pit area is lots of fun! Lots to do and see here in the area. Fishing on the Anchor River just a mile away is great and we even went beachcombing on the spit at low tide in Homer and found seashells ( an Oregon Hairy Triton). I own a shelling tour company in Florida so this was a special treat for me. We will be back again next summer. Book you won't be dissapointed.

I'm not sure you'll find any better than this property. I'd return in a heartbeat at a different time of the year when there's more going on.

Finding the office was a bit confusing but once we did find it there were two ladies in the office. One of them (older one) pretty much scowled at us while the other one (younger one) politely informed us that our room was not ready yet since we had arrived a bit early. She awkwardly asked if there was something we could do for an hour while the room was ready. We went about our way and while in the car I was thinking about this interaction (my first impression). My husband aaked "did you notice that lady was scowling at us?" And I said "yep, I don't know why. Maybe she didn't realize that she was doing that". We shrugged and decided to visited town while waiting on our cabin. We arrived later in the afternoon and were greeted by someone completely different. This time we were greeted by a very warm and cheerful couple whom I believe must be the owners. They were very welcoming and so helpful. The lower Moose Caboose was very homey and almost reminded me of a small studio or apartment. I thought it would be an actual Caboose but it wasnt. Despite this I was very pleased with all of the amenities. This place was nicely decorated and in great condition. The view was also beautiful! Overall we had a wonderfully peaceful time. Our warm greeting from the owners, and our experience with the cabin itself was a great experience. I'll definitely pass up the scowl any time :-) but would definitely return. The lower Moose Caboose is excellent for a couple looking for a nice, peaceful time in Homer. Definitely recommend!

We were very late in checking in, and the owners stayed to welcome me. That really shows they care about their business and they are professional and friendly. If you were going on a fishing expedition, this would be a very good option as it has several amenities: fish freezers, a LARGE outdoor jacuzzi (clean and HOT!), most cabins have kitchens, and it even has a canoe for communal use (they have new lifejackets in variety of sizes.) I didn't bring my computer, but they also have wireless. I brought a DVD, but unfortunately my room didn't have a DVD player. They have satellite cable with flatscreen tvs. My room was small, but the linens were very comfy and the price was very low; I feel I got an excellent value. It looks like they have great options for both small and big parties. A large group could rent a whole house, and they have private, 2-person cabins for those on a quiet getaway. I would definitely stay here again.

The accommodations are very nice and Dave and Katie have added several conveniences, such as Wi-Fi, washer/dryers, BBQ's, a hot tub, and canoe for the lake to name a few. I stayed in the Mallard Cabin which had a small kitchen, living room, bed room and bathroom. It was perfectly sized for a couple or a couple with small children. The cabin was well equipped and comfortable. Alaska Serenity Lodge is conveniently located five minutes from Soldotna and the Kenai River. There was plenty to do in my off time, I was fortunate enough to catch a 100 Halibut during my stay. I have traveled all over the world and put Alaska Serenity Lodge at the top of my list for all around great places
