This was another late night stop after a soccer game. I truly shouldn't be eating late at night but it's impossible to pass on Mexican food. I had the nachos and it's a big portion. They meant to be shared. The guacamole is a must try and their chorizo and cheese dip too. The boys devoured their food and didn't get a chance to take picture. I'm going to go ahead and bump them up a star. Their Molcajete is crave worthy. Their chips and salsa have grown on me and their menu is fairly priced. Their queso has too. Is it perfect, no, would it be in the top 10 in Nashville....maybe. Service is still no their strong suit, but I can't keep it at 3 stars if we still go there once a month or so for the molcajete. Tip: get an extra set of tortilla and only get it spicy if you really like to be challenged while eating. The medium gives plenty of burn. read more

Cabos is always solid! Came in on a Friday night so it was busy but we were seated in about 7 minutes. Service was quick and friendly. I ordered pollo con queso which is always my go to at Mexican restaurants and it was very tasty! Absolutely the best Mexican Food around. Found this restaurant in Nolensville to try. Our favorite WAS El Sombrero near Lenox Village, but decided to try Cabos which was 2 miles from my house. Two stars since the food did not get us sick, but overall extremely disappointing. We got here early on a Friday and the place was mostly empty. Certainly more staff than guests. That didn't stop us for being ignored after our drink order. The only other time we saw our server what's when he brought us some cheese dip for ignoring us. Literally nobody ever said hello to us again. We had to go get our own leftover containers. I had to get my own check and describe where we were sitting to the cashier so she could get our ticket. It was abysmal service, but to be fair we seemed to be the only people who were summarily ignored like this. I'm not sure if that should make me feel good or bad. We ordered a meal on doordash and it was AMAZING! What a hidden gem! The chipotle shrimp was our absolute favorite! It was really flavorful without being too spicy! We also ordered the chicken fajitas, a quesadilla, and guac, and all together it was a ton of food for 4 people and we had a bunch of leftovers! The tortillas were also just delicious and so fresh. We ordered their chicken fajitas and shredded chicken chimichunga. The one bright spot was that service was quick. The fajitas came out steaming and provided an ample portion. Again, somewhat average as compared to Chuy's. The chimi actually disappointed as I like mine thicker and crispier. Cabo's chimi was more like an enchilada and "wet". Arrive by 5:00 pm or you'll be waiting. Nolensville is "starving" for restaurants and this is still in the early growth stage. Overall, I rate Cabo's a 3/5 stars. If you like Mexican food and good service, don't bother coming here. The hostess and her friend sat at a table eating and playing on their phones the entire time we were there after seating us at a dirty booth with dirty food stained menus. The salsa is a heavy, unspiced tomato sauce. Every item we tried was below mediocre. The margaritas were strangely bright orange, with a ton of orange juice. We watched all the servers and bartender playing on their phones and sit at the bar or front waiting area at various times. The menu is a novel. The owner should remove at least half the items and focus on improving the items that make the cut. Such a shame as Nolensville is in need of good Mexican food. read more

GOOD. We were down the street at Smucker Farms for an Amish-built shed purchase, and when we asked them for a lunch rec they said Cabos hands down. Was a little hesitant bc it's in a newer looking complex and the quaint, authentic-looking cafes were calling to us. But, hey, when you start thinking about eating tacos there's just no turning back. VERY glad we took their advice bc everything we ate from the salsa/queso starter to the tacos, beans/rice was better than we've had in recent memory around Nashville. OK, the first thing I have to honestly say is that I am not a big fan of Mexican food. My wife loves it but I will go anywhere else first. That being said, shortly after Cabos opened their doors in Nolensville my wife wanted to go there for dinner. I bitched, moaned and complained and attempted to dissuade her. But, she won (as usual) and we went to Cabos. When we arrived the service was very good to excellent and we were seated quickly. Before our butts warmed the seat we had chips and salsa plunked down in front of us. Shortly thereafter a waiter appeared and we ordered a pitcher of Margaritas. The drinks were very good and after a few sips we began looking over their extensive menu. A few minutes later our waiter returned and took our dinner order. The food arrived quickly and everything was very tasty. Much better than I had anticipated. I was pleasantly surprised. So, we were there for dinner last Friday because my wife loves their chicken tortilla soup. I had the same thing and it was delicious. As of this writing we have been there about a dozen times and we have never had any complaints or problems. I would also like to add that the management is very good there. The manager is ever present and frequently inquires as to your satisfaction with your meal. My personal opinion is that Cabos is a well operated restaurant serving good food, tasty adult beverages and is staffed with friendly, efficient servers. Had a great lunch today at this local spot. It was quick so this review represents the lunch experience. I have to emphasize the service, it was prompt, from taking your order to getting your food delivered to your table. However it wasn't very crowded at 1:00 pm. I ordered a California burrito with shrimp and enjoyed it. The menu is very diverse. There is a good selection of seafood options along with fajitas. This is the third or fourth Mexican restaurant in Nolensville. I think competition leads to improved local restaurant experiences. Give Cabo a try for yourself. I enjoyed the ambiance and after eating we explored some of the new stores within walking distance. Nolensville is definitely growing come on over and explore. read more
