After a family wedding weekend we decided to grab carryout at our families favorite Mexican restaurant. There was a total of 5 of us with 2 of us vegans and they easily accommodated everyone's favorite meal. Let me mention that the meals are huge! Btwn the 5 of us all but one of us shared a meal and it was filling and the perfect amount. The appetizer must is the homemade guacamole. We have enjoyed going to Nachos for many years now. We enjoy the food, atmosphere and friendly staff so much, it feels like we part of this family run restaurant. The food was great, especially the pablano chile relleno, the server was very nice and welcoming, and the atmosphere was typical of a Mexican restaurant. I have been coming here for 24 years and I love this place! The owner and his son-law always greet us with open arms, that is special! ! They are very family friendly, when our boys come to town they have to eat here. The food is very good, and you get plenty. We alway start off with Margaritas on the rocks with some cheese dip. I get the chicken fajitas and I take home half. Some days, it does get busy, if you don't want to wait for a table, look in the bar area, usually there are a few seats open. read more

Came in on a Monday night when they had trivia. Place was pretty packed, which is always a good sign. Extensive menu with all the classic Mexican dishes. Solid chips and salsa, and large portions overall. Exactly what most people want when they go out for Mexican. This place is amazing! The female bartender on Thursday nights is a genius. She recalled our order from the one and only other time we had been there. Drinks and all. Seriously, reminded me of some "good will hunting " type stuff. She seems to have a small following, I watch someone walk In and she silently delivers their drink. The food here was pretty good. It had a lot of flavor. Let's start off with salsa. For me, the salsa says a lot about the restaurant. The salsa was very flavorful and yummy. I loved it! The chips also came out nice and warm with it. I had their fajitas and it was very flavorful. I enjoyed it. The only complaint about it were the small shrimps and we only got a few of them. The rice was very flavorful. I loved it. The guacamole was also very good. I also tried their ground beef nachos and I liked it. Service wise- our server did so good. I wish I got his name, but I didn't. He didn't fail to check on us and did so good in bringing us everything we asked for. In all- I had a good experience and would come back. read more

It's hard to believe the review written by Ami K recently, as I have been a regular at Nachos for many years and have never witnessed any unprofessional behavior by any of the staff or management. I sit in the bar every time I go and have never experienced or seen what was reported. My visits have always been positive. Everything I've tried on the menu has been good and meticulously prepared. I've never had to send anything back. It appears the disgruntled customer had a bigger issue with getting caught than with the restaurant. read more

OH, NACHOS, what happened????? They did something to their Queso. It's now a flour taste. It's not the magic white queso that make us drive all the way to Nachos to enjoy. It was HANDS DOWN the best queso in town, now it's thick and tastes like flour, so all the meals it's on (including their famous nachos) are now AWFUL. Please go back to the old queso. read more

Sadly, I'm one of those annoying guys who say, "If I could give 0-stars" but in this case my server was pretty good. The food and cleanliness were equally bad, which makes no sense because the place was pretty slow at 3:30pm (few customers) and the staff was abundant (standing around rather than wiping down the tables and seats. I was seated in a booth that had some unidentifiable crusty white paste (don't say it!) on the seats, as well as crumbs from tortilla chips. I looked to move but realized the other seats were dirty too. I know, I should've walked out, but I needed some food and regrettably hung in there like a champ. Next, I ordered a glass of water and the 2-crispy taco dinner, which is served with a healthy portion of flavorless starch and protein...I mean rice and beans. A special shout out to the beans and taco meat though, because I didn't realize at the time I placed my order that the cook would infuse my glass of water in them both. No joke, my tacos were literally served with butcher paper under them to soak up the excess water. Now, I know it's natural for tacos to get a little soft from the taco meat, but in this case it was seemingly to keep the flood waters contained. Lastly, the taco shells were the perfectly shaped store-bought shells that come 12 in a box...brought me back to my middle school lunch days (definitely not authentic). Bad: I will not go back. I was attracted to the Chile Colorado as one of only two items on a very extensive menu that was labeled as spicy. Indeed, I was impressed with just how spicy the sauce was, it had quite a kick. Unfortunately the beef was very thinly sliced small pieces of what looked to be inside skirt, cut very thin to disguise its chewiness, and badly over cooked. I don't doubt it is the same beef that's used on their fajitas, and suspect it's representative of a fundamental problem at Nachos. The menu is far larger than what they could reasonably be expected to serve as quality dishes. If the restaurant actually wanted to serve Chile Colorado as an offering, they'd take the time to slow cook chunks of stew beef until tender. With the sauce, and flour tortillas, that could have been a fabulous dish. I'd quote the wife, who, equally disappointed with a combo plate, said that if Robert Irvine (Restaurant Impossible) ate at Nachos, he'd shut the place down and redo the menu. The rice and refried beans that accompanied the chile colorado were fine, sure, a bit bland, but they had a classic flavor for the tex mex sides. The salsa and chips were fine, the made to order guacamole (also rather bland) was good, particularly with some salsa added, though it was an enormous portion that two hungry people didn't get through half. Service was prompt and friendly, though our table was where they congregated and talked at any down moment, which was a little off putting. read more

The workers were completely starring at me the entire time we ate our food. The food is good but the service can improve. I recommend the fruit juices aswell. We have enjoyed Nachos restaurant, the delicious food, the wonderful, attentive staff, and the fun and festive vibe of the place for years! The owner is top notch, making every effort to get to know his patrons on a first name basis and greats his guests with a hearty handshake. Jessica, Tess, Jesse, Cassandra, Carlos, Nacho, Beto, and the rest of the gang never fail to go above and beyond to take good care of us. We typically sit in Jesse's section in the bar on Thursdays and she is a rock star bartender! She remembers our drink and food orders from week to week, as well as our quirky requests. Tess, an assistant manager, makes our seating needs possible no matter the size with a smile on her face. She even turned us on to the Nachos margarita which is head and shoulders above your average margarita. Ask for one next time you go! And if you like spicy, try Pollo Boracho! Nachos is the only local Mexican restaurant we've found that offers this authentic dish. Jessica, the owner's daughter, does a fantastic job running an efficient business with very little wait times and a warm welcome for all. Any review that says less is the exception, not the rule. I couldn't believe when I received the food! 90 % frozen food...fake cheese...warm pre made margarita...frozen fries...soggie bread...even the salsa that comes with the chips was awful...1 cheap napkin per table...gummy frozen chicken...food without love... without respect...and please before you leave double check your receipts 2 separate taxes 17% per drink so...a cheap basic $ dollar margarita will ended up over $14 each...plus the food...anyways it's insanely expensive...with the same money you can eat at wild ginger...or honeysuckle..or tupelo Honey high standard restaurant with a real chef at the kitchen...be careful people! read more

This is sort of our go to place for Mexican food but had a bad experience this week. We had a large group of 9 and although it was not busy, had to wait probably 15 minutes to order a drink. I ordered fish tacos that description was mahi mahi and it definitely was not that and smelled and tasted awful. It was served with black beans that had no seasoning and cole slaw that looked and tasted like it was from the Kroger deli and drenched in mayo dressing. The worst part of the whole experience was that my nephew who was not from here poured the rest of his margherita into a to go glass and the manager screamed across the bar area that he could not do that and they could get in trouble if he took it out. He said he was sorry and that where he came from they could do that and said he would finish it. She stormed over and said she had to take the cup from him. It was very rude and could have been handled very differently. Not a good experience and we won't be back. read more

This is my experience only. We ate dinner here for the first time. Very nice atmosphere. Very clean. Chips and salsa are great. My type of salsa. Not too chunky, not smooth, just right. Not too hot or spicy either. I ordered the shredded chicken chimichanga with rice and beans. Food was really good. Everything was fresh. I would rate this experience as a 8/10. I'm rating this high for the good service I usually receive here. I usually go to this location after church for lunch on Sundays, which means it is packed. Despite the increase in​ business during this time, the customer service does not decrease. Ironically though, the most recent time I was here before writing this review, I felt like service was the slowest. Comparing this to the other Nacho's location I've been, the one in Bellevue, I'd say the one in Bellevue is more flavorful. I ordered shrimp nachos in both restaurants and I thought the Franklin location was lacking in flavor. I also like the variety of flavors of margaritas they have. Pineapple is my favorite fruit, so I enjoyed that the most. read more

Nacho's was OK. Pretty standard menu and offerings and everything was fine but unremarkable. Our service was very good. The server was prompt, accurate, attentive and slightly humorous without feeling like he was trying to join the party. I ordered the Vegetarian Taco Salad and asked if there was cheese (as it was not listed on the menu). The response, there can be ~~ I like that can do attitude. Plenty of refills on chips and salsa, good variety of draft beers. Returning home though, we always feel like our clothes have that fried chip smell.... The manager even offered me an outlet to charge my cellphone before closing. I gave this place 1 star for multiple reasons : first off 15 tables open on a Monday & we waited to be seated , why? Server was had no idea why 'Monday happy hour all day ' meant . We order & the food comes & it's all so soupy & unappealing but looks can be deceiving right? Wrong! The chili poblanos were soaked in a chicken??? Gravy ??? Why on earth would anyone cover up the peppers in gravies if it was good - it was a weird soupy mess I'm not sure about the cheese in it but it was disgusting !!! Taught by Hispanic friends I myself filled those peppers with chihuahua cheese nothing else !! The rice & beans - oh my how to you screw up rice ?? Was dry ! Beans ??? Refried beans? No it wasn't it was like soup no bean ti see here ! Asked for avocado sliced please , they give me gauc - being allergic to cilantro they could have told me they didn't have avocado except in gauc! Moving on to the burrito - it was a runny mess when they first put it on the table we thought it was a wet fish !! Not at all appealing - in fact this place seems to make all their goods LOOK unappealing !!! It was mostly just soupy sloppy running all around the plates ! The only formed piece of food was the chicken enchiladas however they tasted awful then we thought well dessert might turn the evening around .., omgish NO Omgosh NO don't order dessert .. fried ice cream tasted like artificial flavor everything ! The tres leches cake was dry & this is a WET cake how did they mess that up ?! Abd their fried banana again with artificial flavorings ! It was a hefty bill bc we had drinks even tho their 'happy hour ' was a load of bs ... never going back , no one there knows how to cook authentically apparently!
