Being direct to customers it's around the same price as super market cheese and WAY better. Worth going out of your way on the way back from MTL if you're in upstate NY. The olive bread in stock is really well done and even the sparkling juice was really tasty. We got an apple blend (grapefruit I'm tempted to say?) and it was a delicious treat for the ride back.

This cheese doesn't taste like foodservice. It takes like genuinely delicious artisan cheese. As far as I know, this particular location on Yelp is not open to the public. Maybe it was at one point, but newer reviews point to it being closed now. So I probably wouldn't recommend making the drive here just for some free samples, especially considering the cheese isn't expensive anyway. I was able to acquire some from a local Aldi for just a few dollars ($3-4, I believe). I was quite blown away. The cheese is so creamy and all around perfect. No grittiness, perfectly pure flavor that truly makes it feel like an upscale experience. This particular cheese is a dip, but I ate it straight from the container because that's how good it is. Plus, it's also quite light! 45 calories for 2 tablespoons, and around 250 for the entire container! I will say, though, it's tough to get your hands on this product sometimes. All in all, I highly recommend giving the Vermont Creamery's cheeses a try. The goat cheese dip is fantastic, and I enjoyed it straight out of the container. I'm sure their other products are just as delicious, and they make for a great gift, appetizer, or snack.

I have been enamored with Vermont creamery since I worked at Whole Foods in New England, so this was at the top of my list to visit. What you're actually visiting is their corporate offices. Inside they look a little like a fancy, corporate barn. The staff is SO welcoming. When you get there, although you can't do a tour, you can taste your way thru their award winning cheeses. I forget the front desk woman's name but she was THE NICEST. Upon walking in, she asks if we want to try some cheese. Well, of course we did! She walks on back to the kitchen and a few minutes later emerges with something magnificent. A wooden cheese board in the shape of the state of Vermont featuring: - 3 kinds of goat cheese: pepper jelly, honey, and regular - cultured butter: yes, we ate this by the spoonful alone and have zero regrets. - creme fraiche with vanilla - their award winning Bonn bouche- an ash ripened goat cheese that is stinky and delish! When my husband and I got married, we were both used to buying specific products and did not agree on cheese. To settle the battle, my husband had me do a blind taste test between Cabot and another leading brand. Needless to say, we only buy Cabot when available. It's so smooth with so much flavor. Even their butter is noticeably superior. They make other butters taste like salted lard. Not all stores carry Cabot butter, but the Publix on Neptune does and I noticed just the other day the last two boxes of butter were all the way in the back, so people are buying them up. Winn Dixie used to carry their horseradish cheese spread, but I couldn't find it last time. I hope they were just out. What's wonderful about Cabot, besides the taste, is they are a coop of local farms up north where they were established, so you're supporting small farms while enjoying a great product.

Indeed, the product used to be great. I remember getting your cheddar that was crumbly and had the tang that only sharp cheddar has. I could count on Cabot in the past to live up to its reputation as an honest and delicious cheese. I have done zero research on the Cabot Creamery and I am not going to. Maybe the same farmers are still running the place. But somehow I doubt it, because recently I bought some Cabot Extra-Sharp Cheddar and it was about as sharp as a butter knife. And the texture? To borrow from Pete Seeger, where has your crumbly cheese gone? The texture was strangely rubbery--hell, your cheddar gives Velveeta a run for its money. In short, your product sucks. This proud company has gone down the drain of greed and B.S.  Do you think the public doesn't notice--that we just stuff our faces and never actually taste things? You might be surprised. If you replace the good with the mediocre, folks will eventually catch on to your scrimping. You really can't fake quality, try though you will. Cabot Cheese: You are a great disappointment to me.
