Hubbers' besties invited us for a birthday celebration which meant going for a boat ride to San Pedro. This place was our departure site. Marinas are always a sight to see, but the one thing that popped out was how clean the entire area is. I'm not talking about just where the boats are but it's surrounding parking areas and bathrooms as well. It's clearly being maintained well. I promise: I didn't see a single clutter anywhere. Not sure if there's ever a next time, and this visit was a quick to and from, but an impressive one at that. read more

I used to be a tenant in this marina since they opened and I have to tell you it's a reason they've got vacancies now, maintenance the staff they have no concept of the word service. There are a lot other choices in San Pedro. I'd sell my boat before I put it back in this marina. read more

My boyfriend and I just signed the lease for our slip yesterday. We couldn't believe how beautiful and well kept the grounds were and the service we received was second to none. We were in a time crunch as we had to leave town and Rosie was sensitive to this. She dealt with our application in a timely manner and moved it along seamlessly. Thanks, Rosie! When we arrived to the office, we met with Henry. He welcomed us at the door with a warm smile, took us on a tour of the facility, answered all of our questions and made us feel right at home - he even worked through his lunch break to accommodate us. We had been looking for a slip for the past three months and didn't feel comfortable anywhere else we went. Henry was so efficient, knowledgeable and had such a great attitude and way about him that he made our decision for us. We sat and watched the sunset last night from the back of the boat and it was truly incredible. read more

Henry Rivas, the person that works there and rented to me was amazing. Very friendly and also helped me like he was my uncle! Super professional yet very kind and understanding. This marina is exceptionally well managed. The staff is always positive and they continually surprise boaters with innovative holiday and customer appreciation events. The 4th celebration was amazing with top-notch fireworks and well-run parking and traffic control. The marina is kept extremely clean and maintained. The crew is always on the lookout for boat problems when weather goes bad. Upgraded Wifi is good enough to drive a smart tv and they allow satellite dishes on the pylons! Highly recommende read more

I was only here for about 6 month but I loved it here. I was a little hesitant about Pedro but this Marina is beautiful. The bathrooms are a little on the older side but always clean. I don't understand what the one poor review was about but my experience has mostly been you get what you give. My experience with the staff was always pleasant, my dock was clean and I had no issues with seals or birds I moved to Redondo because I have friends there or I never would have left. My deposits were refunded fully and fast. read more

One of the aspects of boating I appreciate is the tendency of boaters to stick together and help other boaters in need. So CA Boaters should know that Cabrillo Marina does not subscribe to this notion. I wasn't able to pull my 35' power boat out of the water at the Cabrillo Ramp due to the extreme low tide. On top of that one of my 2 engines was not running, making navigation very difficult. Because I was honest with the Marina about the engine they refused to rent me a slip, wouldn't even let me dock for a moment in order to explore options, even though I explained the situation and that I just needed somewhere to put the boat for the night. Any boater can imagine the anxiety created when your boat is handicapped and you have nowhere to dock the boat. Fortunately I found another marina, Cabrillo Way, that was happy to give me a slip for HALF of the fee Cabrillo Marina charges ($1/foot vs $2/foot). I hope my fellow mariners can relate to my plight and avoid Cabrillo Marina. read more

Nice place and nice people but the internet access is terrible. I paid the fee for internet access but I haven't been able to log on once. (I'm writing this from a nearby hotel lobby). It's a shame that a nice marina can't offer a decent internet connection. read more

I have kept my boat moored at Cabrillo Marina for the past 14 years. All and all it has been a great experience. This is the closest quality Marina to Catalina in So Cal. The security and customer service have always been above average. Rosie and Adam will take great care of you as well as all the staff at Cabrillo. The Marina offers many wonderful yearly events like Costumer Appreciation Day, Holiday Events and Nautical Rummage Sales. The location is beautifully landscaped and is a very tranquil quiet relief from the noisy life in the city. I hope to purchase a larger boat soon and become a live aboard resident. A touch of heaven on earth! When I bought my sailboat I was planning on moving her to another marina. That was until I went down to Cabrillo marina, and I was hooked! This place is like a backdrop for a movie, at night the lights sparkle on the san pedro hillside, the marina is still and clam and ever so peaceful. I will be staying here for a long time. We are having a very positive experience in Cabrillo Marina. The people we have used for boat services like Jose Diaz, washing the boat, Azteca Diving keeping the bottom inspected and clean, Royal Flush Pump Out service , German Connection for electrical and Cesar at Seatech Marine who worked on the engines are excellent including even starting to look for a boat and buying it through Larry Gagnier at The Shoreline Yacht Group at the Marina. The office manager Rosie and her staff have treated us very well and are friendly, super efficient and extremely qualified. Being "newbies" at the Marina all the staff have been so patient and accommodating to our many needs while we learn the "ropes". All the people we come into contact with there are wonderful to work with every single time. The people we have met who rent there have all been very friendly. It is a really good group of renters. The laundry, bathrooms and docks are kept spotless. The landscaping surrounding are kept impeccable. Lovely to walk around there and go to close by restaurants. Really enjoy our time there always. read more

Quite clean and easy to access this is the highest quality marina around. Rates are every reasonable I keep my 32 foot sail boat here. The office staff are VERY friendly and customer service based. If you have the means I highly suggest it. read more

While the setting of the marina and the views around are spectacular, the service seams a little snobbish. The amenity's I'm sure are great. But don't just show up expecting to get a slip, its a very in-depth and tedious experience I've learned. I did call ahead and insure they had available slips, I was told nothing about long application processes. I sailed from Dana Point all the way here, upon ariving at 9 pm, I promptly sent an email to the marina letting them know I arived and was interested in renting a slip. I then seen the application was online, I submitted the application, and promptly gave them the requested information, boat title, proof of insurance, ect.., They told me they had to wait to hear back from the corp. office. that was all done on Wed. May 20th, 2015. Today May 25th, 2015 I contacted them and they replied with this email: Guest fees are $1.00 per foot per night, and you came in the middle of the night, that's not how we do business here, if you were planning on getting a slip who ever spoke with you before you brought the boat must have told you that we don't allowed boats to come in before they get process. Until you are not approved you need to pay guest fees and they are not based on the slip fee that we gave you. come tomorrow to pay for the guest fees from 5/20-5/25 total of $162.00 and you will need to remove your boat from the marina, this needs to be done by 12 noon, otherwise I will be calling Port Police and have your boat impound Thank you, Rosie Rojas Office Manager 310 732 2252 All I wanted was a monthly slip. I think the emails say it all. I will be taking my business some place else. In my defense I had a head wind all the way there. I planned on arriving earlier. But that's life. read more

poor security, gates are always open, constant rate increases!! they charge $7.90 fee for paying your bill with a credit card!!

Leaving the marina,way too expensive and it is not a first class marina as they are claiming. it is about 30 years old and it shows, cracked concrete docks with rebars showing,doch fingers that are leaning,broken dock boxes, between the dock 33,32 they only got three working lights,rest are out and have been like that for as long as I have been here. The office manager Rosie does not even welcome you personally,she just sits in her office even when you are at the front desk and signing the lease,she would not spend 30 seconds on you to say hello and make you feel welcomed. I have to this day never seen her. They do not care if the marina sits empty or not. Avoid the dock 32 as if it was plagued ridden, all the slips are occupied by the members of Los Angeles Yacht club and they want all the slips for them self that are facing the hotel,I would not join that club if they paid me to do it,very unpleasant experience. I counted well over 75 empty slips,mostly in the 30 foot range,so you know there are good reason why they can not rent those slips out. They also have major problem with raccoons getting on the boats and termites coming from the threes above the marina.The bath rooms are out dated and really look aged, They are bragging about having internet and being a first rated marina,the internet is none existing so that explains why it is free. Save yourself the trouble and go some where else that treat you nicer, and are less expensive with better maintained docks. I would never rent from any of their marinas that is for sure,they do not deserve my hard earned money. read more
