I ordered the flowers yesterday and paid extra money to have them be delivered before noon... Of course I did that on purpose so he would get them before surgery...NOT only did they come 5 hours late they came while he was in surgery and while I was in his room waiting for him. I ordered my wedding bouquet and bridesmaid flowers from Cactus Flowers a few days before my wedding. Because it was last minute I double and triple checked to ensure that what I liked would be able to be made, and was reassured that they could complete the request as I designed. I picked a mostly white and green bouquet and requested that blush/pale pink flowers of any type be added in as an accent as well. At this request, the woman who assisted me stated it would be totally possible and even charged me to have the blush tones added in (which I was totally fine with). I was super excited to receive my flowers the morning of the wedding, and while they were beautiful, they were not what I had ordered. The way the flowers were tied did not match the picture that I chose and despite being charged for and ordering the pink flowers, they were nowhere to be found in either of the bouquets. Considering the wedding was only a few days after Valentine's day, and the shop was stocked full of reds/pinks when I went in for the consultation, there is really no excuse for not providing what I actually ordered. Giving three stars because the flowers were still beautiful, but if you're going to charge someone extra for and give a promise on pink flowers, provide pink flowers. I was definitely missing the touch of blush on the day of and think they would have looked ten times better had they actually been what I had ordered. read more

This is one of the few places left where you can walk into the cooler, choose what you like and have the staff help you make it look good and wrap it for you. I called to place a delivery order and the woman I spoke seemed confused, unfriendly and was more interested in taking down every single piece of my personal info for her computer system than in taking my order. She confirmed my order eventually but then I got a call back from her about 15 minutes later saying the florist they were getting the flowers from actually doesn't have any of the flowers I want! First of all, I thought Cactus was the florist, but apparently they farm out their orders elsewhere. Second of all, why confirm an entire order before even checking to see if the flowers are available? I would not use this place again! In regards to corsages and boutonnières since it is prom season. I don't recommend this place to buy your corsages/boutonieres. When I went to pick up the boutoniere, it was the size of my finger. I ordered the mini roses (standard) and was expected something more elegant and larger? Instead I received two tiny tiny roses. My friend got an orchid boutoniere, which was a bit larger, but still small. I suggest another flower shop that will give you a nicer and better looking boutoniere. However, I do love their friendly staff and their various flower selections. Just not the best place when choosing your C&B's. read more

Found this place on Yelp and they had a good variety of exotic and high end flowers to choose from. I got a good amount of flowers for a reasonable price I selected some individual flowers and they wrapped them up for me very nicely. Everyone was very nice and patient. We live in Virginia and sadly, I needed to send a floral arrangement to my dear cousin's funeral in Chandler recently. Having checked with a couple of other recommended florists in the area, I decided to order my standing spray from Cactus Flower because their prices seemed to be better and I really liked the attention and kindness that Jensen (who took my order) gave to me. Cactus emailed me a photo of the spray just like I asked them to do, which thrilled me since they made the arrangement exactly the way I requested. They used plenty of sunflowers, red and orange roses, yellow mums, purple liatris, etc. It was absolutely spectacular, big, beautiful and bodacious! The funeral home told me when I phoned that my spray was gorgeous and was the tallest arrangement at the viewing. Great job, Cactus! I'm writing this review because I am very impressed with the "after-sale" service provided by the folks at Cactus Flowers. I had an arrangement gifted to me which didn't perform to expectations and several blossoms were wilting soon after delivery. In fairness, i think it was because the water level had to be right to the top of the vase and since some stems were shorter than others, within one day some had already suffered because they couldn't reach the water. While I think it's probably important to have the stems a similar length so this doesn't happen, I have had a very happy ending to my story. I phoned and informed them of my situation and they immediately sent a replacement bouquet which was even more beautiful than the first. That's not typically the kind of consideration one would get from a small business and we will certainly use them again. read more

I stepped into Cactus Flowers at the last minute in hopes to find flowers for my Daughter's school performance. You'd never think ordering flowers to be delivered to your mom from CACTUS FLOWER for Mother's Day would spark a TERRIFYING situation. Yesterday, the flowers my sister and I ordered for our mom were delivered to her home around 10am. My mom was obviously unaware that these flowers were being delivered, as it was a surprise, so she was not prepared for someone to ring her doorbell that morning. When she went to the door, she saw a man through the peep hole but did not answer the door. My mom does not answer the door for strangers when she is home alone. The man then proceeded to slide a paper through the crack in the door and got in his car and drove away. My mom figured he was just a salesman leaving his business info so she opened the door to retrieve what he left and saw that there were flowers sitting on the ground. This man was delivering flowers and the paper he left was a "sorry we missed you" delivery notice from Cactus Flowers. My mom brought the flowers inside and went on about her business. About 5 minutes later, this man is back at my mom's door. This time he is pounding his fist on the door, yelling and screaming, calling my mother by name and asking her to open her front door. When my mom did not answer, the man got back in his car and left. Another few minutes after that, the man comes back again. He starts pounding on the door again and screaming things to my mom such as, "OPEN YOUR DOOR!" "I NEED TO TALK TO YOU RIGHT NOW!" "YOU NEED TO OPEN YOUR DOOR RIGHT THIS MINUTE!" "YOU NEED TO LET ME IN!" As this is happening, my mom is on the phone with me because, as luck would have it, I had called her to tell her I was on my way over. As she is telling me what's going on, I can hear this man in the background banging on the front door and screaming at the top of his lungs for my mom. When I pulled up to the front of the house, the man was getting back into his car and looked as though he was leaving so I followed him through the neighborhood. He blew through a few stop signs to try and get away from me but I managed to get his license plate number and a description of his vehicle. I called Cactus Flower, the location on Alma School, and explained how completely creeped out we were. Who knows what that man was capable of doing or what he even wanted from my mom in the first place!!! The employee I spoke with told me they were using "temporary" drivers and she apologized. She looked up the order confirmation and found the driver. The employee tried making me feel better by telling me that this driver was "non-threatening" and had been with the company for years. She told me she was going to give him a stern talking to. Um, what?! Are you kidding me?! I explained to the employee how freaked out my mom was (she was crying and shaking) and how close we were to calling the police and how inappropriate this man was acting when all he should have done was deliver the flowers and leave. There was no need for him to pound on the door and scream and carry on like that for as long as he did. What did he want?!!!! Maybe I watch too much Dateline, but this man was extremely creepy and should be fired! My advice is that if you are going to order flowers from Cactus Flower, pick them up yourself. Do not let something like this happen to you! I have a very strong feeling this man would have tried harming my mom had she opened the door. BUYERS BEWARE! PLEASE! read more
