We checked out the online menu here, and it looked pretty good, so we thought we'd try it. To quote Pretty Woman "Big mistake, Huge!" The place opened at 11:00, and when we walked in, all the lights were out. A guy came out of the back, and we said "are you open", he goes, "yeah, but the bartender is running late". Then he turned on the lights. Oh my eyes!! What a dingy, dark, spot, and phew, so smelly! Like sweat and old beer imbedded in the spongy carpet . I know this is a bar/karaoke place, but does it have to be so gross? We went hesitantly to a table, yep, it was sticky. Soooo, we just turned around and let our boots do the walking. Caddy's is a fantastic place to hang with friends and sing lots of karaoke! The drinks are strong, and the food is comfort on a plate! There's a place for everyone at Caddy's! EDIT: wanted to add that the inside bar is now NON-Smoking! If you didn't come here because you saw an old review that mentioned the smoke, that is NOT the case anymore! Went there last year for a birthday party (not mine) and from the time i walked in to the time i finally left i was disgusted with the environment and the service. You have to fight to get a drink or food and it's just dirty. I love dive bars. This i didn't love. Now i find out that the owner is against lgbtq in all forms doesn't surprises me but just disgusts me all over again. Will never go back, didn't want to after the one time i did. This place was not what I expected. From the outside looking in I thought we would walk in to more of a casual- fine dining type or restaurant but it's actually more of a dive bar. We ended up leaving because my kids were with me and it just didn't seem like the type of place to bring kids for lunch. If divey is more your scene then this is your place. read more

We walked in here and the guy checked our ID and he said mine was fake because it is NJ license. This is my first time visiting this place also and I have never been humiliated. He told us if my ID is fake he is going to keep it so we told him go ahead, go checked my Id because it is real. After 30 mins, He gave me my ID and told us he cant accept it. mind you before he was like if your ID is fake I am going to keep your ID and contact the police. What do I say about this place. It's either a one star, or 12 stars, depending on what you're looking for and the night you go. Caddy's is one of the last, bastion dive bars in the town of Midlothian. You will find karaoke here almost nightly. Almost everyone here is very friendly, but if you cannot stand cigarette smoke you may want to have a backup plan. Definitely not a pretentious place, but if you can take a date here, and she can relax enough to have a good time, you may have a keeper. Also, for the karaoke'ers out there, pretty good sound system depending who's running it that night. read more

They have great rail drinks. It's an old school bar that allows you to smoke inside if you like to drink and smoke. The smoke often interferes with enjoying your meal, which is subpar at best. It's a down home atmosphere and full of locals. If you're passing thru town or on vacation, I would not recommend this place because of the territorial vibes. The place honestly reminded me of an episode of Kitchen Nightmares, I expected Gordan Ramsey to pop out yelling to "close the kitchen" at any moment. What a great place! It is smoking but I don't mind! The staff is friendly and the food is excellent! It reminds me of Cheers! The bartenders and waitresses are on point!!! They know how to make some amazing drinks! The owner is awesome and is very engaged. She makes sure everyone is having a great time! This is not only a great nighttime hangout bar, but is also a great place to grab a quick lunch! The food is homemade and cheaper that fast food! They have great entertainment! Karaoke is done almost every night starting around 9:30pm. On Fridays for happy hour they have an amazing acoustic duo from 7pm-9pm! Hour our prices are great!!! They have a whole new staff and a new bar manager as of last Friday! They place is amazing!! The owner is also in the process of doing a few upgrades and menu changes!
