The cheese fries, grouper and fried green tomato BLT were great. Very clean and excellent service.

5 days ago Are you sitting at home right now in your camo boxer shorts watching RED DAWN for the 1100th time, while enjoying a little self love? Put on the rest of that delightful hunting ensemble and come on down to Taylors Bar and Grill, because this is the bar for YOU! Do you think Donald Trump is the G.D. greatest American since Chuck Norris? Do you use words like "holler", "gran-pappy" "and "liberal snowflake"? If I say 'immigration" do you say " WALL!"? IF THE ANSWER IS YES, YES AND HELL YES! This is the bar for you! Great Burger, Buffalo dip is fire, and the staff is awesome. Going no smoking was a great improvement. However half the time I'm in there i have to listen to boomers stroking off to how great Donald Trump is. Where I grew up you didnt talk politics or religion at a bar. Should honestly take a star off but Sam is awesome. PS. They also don't like Led Zeppelin.

This place was my restaurant of employ circa 2001 and STILL claims staff members from my era! Food is still great and I recommend the grouper fingers, tots, and shrimp quesadillas the most! Erica, Dennis, Rich, and Beau will take excellent care of you and are fabulous bar keeps!!!

If I could I would have given it 4 1/2 stars, because it was good but not great but definitely well enough not to drop it to a 4. Let's start with the location: very nice and everything seems real clean and cared for. Even the men's room was decent at 6:00 pm at night. Now our server: Sidney was very attentive to us. She took very good care of us during our stay. Now the meal: Again it was good. The wifey had the Blackened Chicken Alfredo. She tells me the sauce had a nice flavor but the chicken really had no flavor. Certainly not a Blackened flavor you would expect. The chicken itself was good and tender. As for me I had Shrimp and Grits. It also was good. It had onions and peppers in it and again the flavor of the onions and peppers just want there. Who knows. We also had the Brick Oven Brie. There was a really nice amount of Brie. So much that the toasted bread ran out way before the Brie. So as I said this was a good place and meal despite my small hits in this review. I firmly recommend this place because I do expect you to have a nice meal. Ps. To the owners: your link to your website doesn't work via Yelp. To potential customers: you will have to go your search engine and find the Charred site.

A hidden gem near Hull St and Courthouse that was highly recommended from some of my local foodies…read moreand I am so glad I was able to make the trip! The hours online are not accurate (give them a call) so we technically got there when they were preparing to close for the day but the super sweet waitress went to check if they could still accommodate our to go order and they did! So I got two (one for my mama) liver and onion meals (5/5 very tender) both with mashed potatoes (2.9/5, gave box) one with cabbage (4/5) and the other with green beans (3.9/5). Mimi ordered the fried pork chop (4.5/5, thin cut but seasoned and fried well)meal with mashed potatoes (2.9/5) and collard greens (a bit dry...leave the "pot liquor" thats where the flavor resides, lol). The family vibes all through out the venue made us feel welcomed and the love shown to the staff by the patrons sealed the deal! If you want a good home cooked meal head over #southerntastediner!

Several servers came over right away to ask our drink orders and give us menus. My husband ordered the country fried steak with gravy and eggs, and I got the chicken and waffles and a side of grits. Everything was very tasty. This might seem like a small thing, but the iced tea was fresh brewed and very good. I cannot stand iced tea that comes out of a machine or that is powdered. This was clearly fresh and they served it in big mason jars. This is one of my key things with a restaurant. If they don't have freshly brewed tea, I really don't enjoy my meal as much. I was thankful that this place had great tea. The server checked on us throughout the meal. We would definitely go back again.

The moment you walk in, you're greeted by display cases filled with beautifully presented baked goods. It's the kind of place where you want to grab a tray and try a little bit of everything. Their mix of sweet and savory pastries pairs perfectly with their milk teas or coffee. The atmosphere is laid-back and works whether you're meeting friends, studying, or just stopping in for dessert. With affordable pricing and a broad menu of drinks and baked items, it's an easy place to return to when you want something different from a regular coffee shop.

It's nice to know that the case is full and fresh. We chose 3 items - pork floss & scallion bun was the clear winner. It was so good (5/5) and great price. The red bean bun was good (4/5). The almond pastry was fine (3/5) but I wanted it to have more flavor and moisture. Often, you get a little almond paste in the middle, but this was mostly dry with just almonds and cranberries on the outside. I didn't dislike it, but would not order again. They had strawberry and cream cake samples by the register. Those were also just okay 3/5). I got an Americano and we sat in a cute booth. Overall a nice breakfast and would try a few other items next visit!
