Turquoise Trading company has all things Turquoise...necklaces bracelets, earrings, and bolos. To be transparent, I was over whelmed with so many choices. I did see earrings I liked but not quite ready to pull the trigger. The store is a shoppers dream...sculptures. Walk hangings, figurine art, Indian headdresses, placemats, wind chimes...to name just a few. The store prices range from $2 to hundreds of dollars. I made a small purchase and was on my way.

Rugs, clothing, lamps, and all sorts of things - it's like entering a fairy tale shop. We stopped in to buy the Hop Queen her early anniversary gift - a lamp she has been havering for for years. You can choose your lamp, and get the globes you want - want to swap them out? No problem, plenty of choices, like everything else in the place, almost overwhelming! There was a 50% off sale going on, so that was even better. We did get spoiled with our fresh brewed coffee, and had some Turkish delight to go along with it. One of the shirts I bought I found had a hole in the sleeve when I got home to wrap it, and I would have preferred to have known it had a hole before I'd bought it at the price I did, even marked down. One shirt was stained in back, which she nicely let me exchange later. Another had a fabric that split apart when I washed it in gentle cycle. It said hand wash, but gentle cycle is usually fine for those. I recommend looking closely at all vintage clothing you buy there as it's also not supposed to be returnable. There is a good selection of T-shirts, but make sure you know what you're getting before you leave.

For more than half of my time in the store I continuously had multiple workers staring me down, and then two just following me around multiple times which gives me the feeling that I'm being looked at like I'm going to steal. It creates a nasty narrative, and a hostile environment. Until you've been given a reason to need to follow someone, don't... There's not a huge selection of men's clothes or shoes and if there is it's mixed up with the women's so I look in ever aisle and I feel like I got stares because I was in the women's aisles but there was a plethora of women's things in the men's aisle so maybe they just need to reorganize? The prices on some things seems incredibly capitalist, I see a whole couch for $19.99 which is a great price, but then I'm looking at a pair of shoes for $24....
