Spectrum was by far the most reasonably priced and could do the job the fastest. They painted all the kitchen cabinets, master bathroom cabinets, and guest bathroom cabinets white using primer and several coats of spray paint along with touching up the ceiling of our closet that the previous owner did not finish painting. Steve, the owner, was easy to work with and the painters who showed up were professional and left things clean. They taped over everything with plastic before they painted. The actual painting took about 3-4 days. After we did our inspection there were a few spots on the closet ceiling that needed touch up which Steve came himself to check up on. Since it was a weekend, Steve said his guys could not come in to finish the job until monday. However, to our surprise, he actually spent several hours touching up the paint himself until my parents were satisfied. Bottom line: affordable price, professional work and good customer service! The crew showed up each day on time, put in a solid day of work, and was very friendly and respectful towards property and people. They were not an ever changing crew with high turnover like often experienced with some contractors, rather this team of guys had been with Spectrum for many years, and seemed genuinely concerned with doing a good job and ensuring long-term satisfaction and repeat business. They did not appear to take any shortcuts, and generally invested the time to do things right. At the end of the project, a survey was sent by mail to obtain feedback on the company's performance. Surprisingly, while there were a number of questions regarding satisfaction with the Estimator / Painting Crew / Office Staff, there were no questions whatsoever regarding satisfaction with the workmanship and paint job itself! There were a couple of aspects which could be improved upon. Generally the crew did a great job of masking the areas to be painted, but they ended up with a few small overspray spots (where the masking had gaps) on a couple light fixtures, and they painted over some copper flashing which should have remained unpainted. It also wasn't clearly communicated that the metal components attached to the house (railings) would not be repainted within the scope of the project. Overall, however, the quality of work was truly outstanding and among the best I've experienced. Although the price was in the upper range compared with other quotes received, it was well justified by the quality and professionalism demonstrated by this company. I highly recommend their service and would certainly look forward to working with them again.
